Kiss the Girl
By: Rekka1991
Disclaimer: I do not own the song "Kiss the Girl." It is the property of Disney. However Desmond and Serena are characters of my own making, as is the plot.
Serena Blood looked over at her project partner, Desmond Delgado. She was known at school as the school's number one geek. How she got to do a project with the biggest football player at her school she still hadn't figured out. She usually wore all black and was often seen wearing a pair of black, wire framed glasses. They were reading glasses but she nearly always had her nose in a book. Desmond was talking on his cell phone to a buddy of his when they were supposed to be working on the project. Serena took off her glasses and set them on her papers. She stood up and walked over to his bedroom window, not knowing that Desmond was watching her.
There ya see her
Sitting there across the way
She don't got a lot to say
But there's something about her
And you don't know why
But you're dying to try
You wanna kiss the girl
Desmond hung up on his friend, knowing that he could call back later. He watched her staring out the window and was amazed at how pretty she looked. 'Despite being a nerd she's quite beautiful. But that's not the reason I fell for her.' Serena went to sit back down and saw him staring. She blushed and sat back down. Serena slipped her glasses back on and started working again. Desmond helped some, but mostly just watched her.
Yes, you want her
Look at her, you know you do
Possible she wants you, too
There is one way to ask her
It don't take a word
Not a single word
Go on and kiss the girl
Desmond scooted closer to her and looked over her shoulder. He looked down at the blue prints they were working on for an engineering class. "Do you really think this will work Serena?" He asked.
"I honestly don't know Desmond." Serena replied. Serena continued working on the sketch of the designs. Desmond's hand brushed gently against her arm and she didn't seem to notice. Desmond smirked. 'She's softer than I dreamed her to be.'
Sha la la la la la, my oh my
Look like the boy to shy
Ain't gonna kiss the girl
Sha la la la la la, ain't that sad
Ain't it a shame, too bad
He gonna miss the girl
Serena pulled her glasses off and rubbed her eyes before slipping them back on. It was a Friday night and her parents had arranged for her to spend the night. Desmond planned to stay near her the entire night. 'Damn, it's taking all of my willpower to not make out with her right now.' Serena finished the designs and sighed, then she turned her head.
Now's your moment
Floating in a blue lagoon
Boy, you better do it soon
No time will be better
She don't say a word
And she won't say a word
Until you kiss the girl
Serena found herself face to face with Desmond. She blushed bright red and started having thoughts of moving back some. Desmond pulled her glasses off and set them off to the side. He ran his hand along her arm and smiled at her before leaning to her ear. "What do you desire, what do you want from a male?" He whispered in her ear. Serena shivered slightly making Desmond smile even more.
Sha la la la la la, don't be scared
You got the mood prepared
Go on and kiss the girl
Sha la la la la la, don't stop now
Don't try to hide it
How you wanna kiss the girl
Serena gulped and looked to the side. "What do I want from a male?" She asked.
"Yes, what do you desire?" He asked, whispering in her ear again.
"I want to be loved for who I am, not what I can do. Not because I can do his homework, but because he actually cares about me. Why do you ask?"
"Because Serena I've fallen in love with you, for you."
Sha la la la la la, float along
And listen to the song
The song say kiss the girl
Sha la la la la la, the music play
Do what the music say
You gotta kiss the girl
Serena looked towards Desmond as he pulled away from her ear. He was smiling like a maniac and was still running his hand along her arm. "You love me, Desmond?" She asked.
"More than anything. Why do you think I requested that we work on this project together?" He asked.
"You requested to work with me?"
"Yeah, I couldn't think of another way to convince you to come to my house so I could tell you. I wanted to tell you privately so you weren't picked on by our fellow classmates."
Serena tilted her head to the side and moved her hand to play with his hair. Desmond grabbed her wrist and pulled her hand to his mouth so he could kiss her palm. Serena blushed again and was surprised when Desmond pulled her closer to his chest.
You've gotta kiss the girl
Oh, don't you wanna kiss the girl
You've gotta kiss the girl
Go on and kiss the girl
Desmond leaned down and brushed his lips against hers. Serena gasped slightly and Desmond pulled back. "Sorry, too quick for you?" He asked.
"No, it's just. No one has ever kissed me before." She replied.
"That wasn't a kiss, this is."
Desmond crushed his lips to her and ran his tongue along her bottom lip, seeking entrance. Serena opened her mouth hesitantly and moaned when his tongue began to explore her mouth. Desmond pulled away when they both needed to breathe and continued to hold her to his chest. Serena nuzzled her head under his chin and sighed. "Thank you Desmond. I've loved you for a while now, but I thought it was unrequited." She whispered.
"Well you don't have to worry about that now love, I don't plan on letting you go anytime soon." He said.
"Oh, shut-up and kiss me again."
"Gladly."
Desmond crushed his lips to hers, glad that he had shut his door when they had walked into the room. Outside it had started raining slightly, but the thunder and lightning didn't bother them at all.
