Garren-protector
After eating, you explored your surroundings, but soon became bored. “Kazuko?” you called. “Huh?” he replied. “Is there a way to possibly turn back into my human form?” you asked. “Sure, you just have to say the right words.” he smiled. “What about you? Can you change into a human form?” you added. “Hmmm…. Maybe.” He thought for a while, then finally added “I guess I would have to say the same incantation as you.” he looked at you. “Hm, well, they seem to just come to me as I go. Maybe, if I concentrate, I'll be able to find the right words.” you said. You went to the edge of the pond and sat down cross-legged and closed you eyes and went into deep concentration.
After what seemed like hours, you finally felt the words come to you. “Hyuda ko Maksura.” you said out loud. You immediately felt your wings retract and the feeling of your human body come back to you. You looked into the water to confirm your success. “I did it.” you mumbled. “Kazuko.” you called. He walked up behind you. “Say Hyuda ko Maksura.” you said. He said the chant and became a very handsome human. “Now that we're both human, let's go back to my house. I need to get something.” you said. He nodded and turned to walk toward the spring, but he fell face forward on the ground. “Ouch.” He said, sitting up. “What's wrong? Can't walk?” you sneered. “Human bodies are weird. It feels funny without the weight of my wings on my back.” he said. He tried to stand up, but failed. “Here let me help you.” you offered your hand.
After a few hours of teaching Kazuko how to walk, you taught him how to take out and put away his wings during human form. “Ready to go?” you asked. “Yea… But after we get what we need, we have to come back here. Now that they know where you live, they'll keep coming back.” warned Kazuko. “Yea, I know. Don't worry, we'll be there and back before nightfall.” you assured him. He sighed and you flew down to your house. You quietly crept inside and made sure that the house was empty. You walked to the couch and picked up the book and went into your room. You dug around in your closet until you found a silver and black jewelry box with pearls around the edges. You opened it and took a small, black, velvet bag and placed it in your pocket. You put the jewelry box back in the closet and looked for your purse. Just then, you heard footsteps behind you and you froze. “Are you done yet?” whispered a nervous Kazuko. “I just need to get my purse-.” he cut you off by shoving your black, leather purse into your arms. “Thanks.” you said. You quietly snuck out of the house and went into town.
You bought clothes, food, and other necessities that you needed and flew back to the hiding place. “See, I told you we'd be back before nightfall.” you huffed. “Y-yea, but we had to f-fly extra f-fast.” he panted. The sun soon set and you made some ramen. After eating, you went straight to bed and fell asleep. Kazuko, on the other hand, stayed up for a few hours in deep thought before finally falling asleep against a tree.
You woke up the next morning and made some breakfast. Kazuko woke up because the smell of food. “How late were you up last night?” you asked. “A few hours after you fell asleep.” he replied. “What were you doing?” you asked. “Thinking.” he said. “Thinking about what?” you became interested. “Stuff.” he said, stuffing some food in his mouth. “Like what?” you pressed on. “Nothing much.” he said. Knowing that there was no way that you could make him say anything more, you dropped the matter and finished eating. “I'm going to take a bath, so you better not sneak a peak or I'll kill you!” you warned. He nodded his head shakily and you went to the spring on the other side of the valley that was conveniently hidden in a group of trees. You made sure that he didn't follow you and got undressed. You bathed in the spring and thought about everything that happened to you. You suddenly remembered the strange man in the black trench coat who said that he would come during the full moon. “Tonight's a full moon.” you said to yourself. You got out and walked to Kazuko “Maybe you should take a bath now.” you suggested. He hesitated and said “I'll bathe in my normal form.” He turned back to his fox form and took a bath, but when he came back, he was in human form. “Thought you were going to bathe in your normal form.” you said. “I changed back after, I think I'm getting used to being human.” he smirked.
After a while of staring into space, you decided to practice your new-found powers. You were struggling a little, your fire balls would fly three feet and disappear in a puff of smoke. After a half-hour of failure to get them at least ten feet away from you, you groaned in frustration and sat on the grass, tired. “Want some help?” asked Kazuko. “Yea.” You answered. He showed you how to properly use your powers and how to say the words.
After a few hours, you decided to rest and have lunch. Your muscles were exhausted, your energy was completely drained and you could hardly move! With each step feeling like a ton of bricks was tied to your feet, you made your way to the spring for a drink. You reached into the water with cupped hands, only to be pushed in by Kazuko. You surfaced and glared at him “Kazuko! You're dead!” You jumped out and grabbed his ankles and pulled him into the water. When he came back up, you splashed him. “Hey! Cut it out!” he said and splashed back. Splashing was getting you nowhere, so you dove in the water and pulled him under. He expected this, though, and pulled your hands off his ankles and held you under with him. Something weird was happening, you felt butterflies fluttering in your gut and his touch brought a wave of excitement and pleasure throughout your body. “What is this feeling?” you thought to yourself. You pulled out of his grip and swam to the surface. Gasping, you got out of the water and sat near the fire to dry, he followed. “What'd you do that for?” you hissed. “Just getting back at you.” he smirked.
You were quiet for a long time before you decided to go take a rest. “I'm going to take a nap.” you yawned. “At this time of the day? You'll be up all night.” he stated. “I know.” you said and walked to a soft patch of grass to lie on.
You woke to the smell of dinner being cooked and sat up. “About time you woke up! It's already sundown.” Kazuko pointed toward the setting sun. “Oh, well.” you shrugged. You ate in silence. Afterwards, Kazuko went to bed and you decided to go into town for a bit. you went to the store and bought more clothes and food. Then, a thought hit you. “I have to make a shelter!” you thought. So you bought some wood and tools and were about to head back when you felt a strange presence. You looked down an alley and saw someone being beat up by… “A shadow!” you whispered. You placed your stuff down and quickly rushed into the alley. You threw a fire ball at the shadow and turned to the man “Are you ok?” He nodded a little shaky and stood up. “Get out of here before they come back.” you said. He thanked you and left. The next thing you could remember was someone hit you and you blacked out.
You woke up on the cold, damp concrete with a major headache. Moaning, You slowly sat up and took in my surroundings. You were in a prison cell! “What happened? Why am I here?” you said out loud. Suddenly, the large steel door creaked open and a man stepped through. He was 6 feet tall, with shoulder length black hair, red eyes, and you could see his fangs poking through his upper lip. Though kind-of scary, he was extremely hot! He smiled “Glad you're awake. Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Donavan, I am the Shadow Lord.” you stared at him “You're the-.” The crescent on your forehead turned yellow and you scooted back “Why did you take me here? What do you want from me?” you asked. “I think you already know what I want” he smirked. You had backed up to the wall, you was trapped! He put an arm on each side of me to prevent me from running and looked into my eyes, hungrily. I froze, I didn't know what to do, he had me pinned to a wall and all I could do was stare back at him. “You have the most beautiful eyes.” he said. “Thank you, now can I go home?” you asked, a little shaky. He chuckled “I don't think you'll be leaving.” You suddenly felt stronger “Why? Are you going to kill me?” you asked. “No. But I have a feeling that you won't immediately agree to my terms.” he answered. “What terms?” you asked. He leaned closer to you and whispered in your ear “You marry me and I will become King of Darkness, and you get to live.” Suddenly, you felt as if you knew him… but could he possibly be… “Rick?” He smirked “How'd you know? I'm not even in my disguise.” You glared at him “I could recognize the annoying vibe you were giving me.” The crescent turned purple. His face became angry “That's not a very nice comment. I would keep my comments to myself if I were you.” he said. “Why?” you asked, arrogantly. “Well, you're in a kind of predicament where if you were to tick me off, I could kill you in an instant.” he said in a smug voice. “Keep dreaming.” you said sarcastically. A sly grin appeared on his face “And while I'm at it…” he pulled you off the wall and slammed you onto a black bed that appeared out of nowhere “I might as well have a little fun.” he said, bending down, closer to your neck. Your crescent turned yellow again. You struggled to get free, but his grip was to strong and the more you struggled, the more excited he became. You decided not to struggle and to try to think of another way out of this. Suddenly, he used one hand to hold both of your wrists and he used his other hand to grab your breast, you gasped. “I've got to get out of here!” you thought.
He slowly started to lift your shirt when the door burst open “My Lord! It's-.” but he didn't get to finish because his head was cut off. Donovan/Rick growled “He's back.” He looked back at you “I'm sorry, we'll have to finish this another time.” he kissed you roughly and stood up. “You'll have to stay in my room for a while. I'll be back soon.” He smirked and left, locking the door behind him.
“Damn!” you muttered under your breath as you tried to turn the handle. You slumped down on the floor and thought for a moment. Then you smiled “He doesn't know that I have wings.” you thought. The crescent turned purple again. You stood back up and walked toward the window, you opened it without any trouble and looked out. You appeared to be hovering over the clouds on a large mass of land on which a large castle rested on. “Eep.” you gulped and decided that there was no other way and jumped out the window. The wind picked up and you spread you feathery black wings, gliding down softly. You looked up to see a very angry Donovan at the window. Just as you started to relax, thinking that you were now safe, you saw him jump out of the window and spread out a pair of black dragon-like wings and dive towards you. “Eep!” you squealed and dove towards the Earth. But, he soon caught up to you and as he came up beside you, he whispered “Why do you resist me?” and grabbed your wrist. You tried as hard as you could to get out of his grip, but he was too strong.
Just as you were about to give up, a ball of black fire hit his shoulder and he released you. As you turned to escape, you caught a glimpse of a figure in a large coat with feathery black wings and another fire ball, ready in his hand. You sped down towards the ground. He tried to follow, but was stopped by another fire ball. You didn't know what happened to him after that, but didn't dare stop to look back for fear of him catching you again. You picked up speed and the cool night air stung your cheeks. Finally, you landed in the middle of the park on the damp grass and passed out from exhaustion….
“My Lady! Wake up!” you heard a faint voice calling out to you, it sounded like it was shouting, but it came to you as a whisper. Suddenly, it felt as though someone was yelling in your ear “…wake up….WATCH OUT!!!!!” On instinct, you jumped into the air and noticed a swarm of black arrows that just missed you. But you had no time to breathe as another wave of arrows hurdled toward you. After dodging several more times, you saw that it would be useless and endless to try and dodge everything, so you quickly watched where the arrows were coming from and noticed that whoever was shooting at you was hiding in the bushes to your left. You sent a massive fire ball at them and heard their screams, which meant a direct hit! With the last bit of energy, you flew back to the spot where you left all the wood and stuff… just to find it gone. “Figures…” you said out loud. You flew back to your “hide-out” and fell asleep in an instant.
