Her blonde hair was like fire in the noon-time sun, her emerald eyes held much death and sadness. By the looks of her you couldn't tell that she had been around for 500 years not that it surprised me much, we all looked the same that we did when our lives changed whether for better or worse is still up for debate.
We all knew each other we came from the same village but became enemies after the disaster; that's what many of us who have survived have come to call our tragedy. I will continue with that as I write down my memories, these are not memoirs just reelections, simply images that I have decided to write down for future generations to read and learn.
My oldest friend when I was a child was a girl called Amira, Ami for short. We were like sisters my mother always sisters though we shared no blood relation. Our village existed outside of Dublin and to this day it is sometimes hard to go back to the place of my birth centuries later and only see grass and wild flowers where your home once stood.
I am an Immortal being what you call `vampires' that are revered in modern society were feared in the era that I lived and grew up in. I have permission from my counsel here in the United Kingdom to publish these entrees that I have collected and put into boxes that I believed never would see the light of day. I have wasted enough time explaining my position and the reason for my book. My memories will surprise you and introduce you to something that I have hidden and tucked away in the far corners of my mind in order to protect people that I care for from the horrible and disgusting things that I have done and have been done to me.
