John at Work
-6:00 p.m.-
“Good evening, my fellow cats!” he said. “How are you all? It's
your boy, John!” He let out a loud squeal. His coworkers gave him
funny looks. Why did he do that? John pumped his fist in the
air.
“Alright! Let's get started!” he said. “Whew!” The man laughed to
himself.
“I got my hands on a ticket to the music festival. That's right! I
got tickets for Charm Inu and Lady Dragon! It was a great show. So
badass! Loved it! Did any of you go? Call in and tell me your
experience.” John sat back in his chair. Let the calls come in.
-First Call-
John pushed the button.
“First caller, you're up!” he said.
“Hi John,” a man said.
“Hello, what's on your mind?” the DJ asked.
“Do you think Mai and Isao will hook up?” the caller asked. John
snorted.
“No!” he said. “They hate each other! It's not happening. Not a
chance.”
“I don't know. It is possible. There is the trope of enemies to
lovers.”
“Not a fan of that.”
“Aw, but it's so hot. Ooo! So much sexual tense!”
“Whoa! Easy there! We have to keep it family-friendly here.”
“But you curse on your show.”
John paused. “True. But only on occasion. Fuck.”
“Oh…”
“Anyway, I don't see it happening. I'll wear a yaoi shirt if that
does. Next caller!”
-Second Call-
“Second caller, you're up,” John said.
“Hey John,” the caller said.
“What's going on?”
“Not much. I got see Charm Inu in Sapporo.”
“Oh. How was it?”
“Loved it! I got my girl.”
“Oh! So this was a date?”
“Yeah. I spent months trying to impress her. My boy told me to get
her tickets to the festival. Now I've never heard of Charm Inu. Not
my thing. I like older rock.”
“Understood.”
“But she's so hot. This girl is a dream, yo!”
“Yep, yep. I understand.”
“Nothing I did worked. I would lose my nerve.”
“Ah, a wallflower, huh?”
“Wallflower?”
“Shy person.”
“Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.”
“So how did the date go?”
“Great! She loved the show. Asked her out on another date. She said
yes.”
“Ah, love. Romance born from music. Good luck on your date.”
“Thank you. Goodbye.”
“Bye. Next caller!”
-Third Caller-
“Third caller, you're up now.”
“Hi. I just want to say Mai is so hot!”
John chuckled. “Yeah she sure is.”
“I love her so much!”
“Yes, yes.”
“She's the most beautiful woman in the world. So talented! So
hot!”
“Uh-huh!”
“I want to marry her!”
“Not a chance. Next caller!”
That's going to go on like this for the rest of the night. This
won't be the only night this topic they would talking about
either.
