Danger of Love

Somebody has to make something happen. Namiko was going to be the one to do it. Her uncle gave her the green light. Who do you think talked with the exes? Maybe…

Namiko pulled out her phone. One quick text and the push was set into motion. She smiled and slipped her phone back into her pocket. The waiter came with her crab.

“Thank you,” she said. The waiter bowed and walked away. Namiko smirked as she started eating.

Another waiter came by Isao and Mai's table.

“Excuse me,” he said. The vocalists looked up. The waiter held up a bottle of wine.

“Here is one from the back,” he said. “On the house.”

“Hey, we didn't order this,” Isao said.

“We know,” the waiter said. “A fan bought it for you both.” Mai raised her eyebrow.

“Who?” she asked.

“Would you like to try it?” he asked. Mai was about to speak, but Isao put up his hand.

“We'll try it,” he said. The other vocalist gave him the side-eye.

“Alright,” the waiter said. He uncorked the bottle and filled the glasses. Mai looked at her date.

“What the hell are you doing?” she mouthed at him. Isao said nothing. Mai rolled her eyes. The waiter finished pouring the wine.

“Are you ready to order?” he asked.

“Uh, yeah,” Isao said. “I'll have the steak, medium-rare.”

“What side do you want?” the waiter asked.

“Fried rice,” the vocalist said. Mai rolled her eyes. The waiter wrote down the order.

“And what about you?” he asked.

“Lobster,” Mai said. “With shrimp, thank you.” The waiter wrote down her order.

“Okay,” he said. “I will be back with your orders shortly.” He turned and walked back to the kitchen. Isao turned back to Mai and picked up his glass.

“Shall we toast?” he asked. She raised her eyebrow.

“Why?” Mai asked.

“Good point,” he said. He took a drink and lowered his glass. Still, there was one question he had to ask.

“How are we going to do this?” Isao asked aloud. Mai narrowed her eyes.

“About what?” she asked. Isao shrugged.

“About us. About all of this,” he said. Mai frowned she picked up her and took a drink.

“What do you think?” she asked.

“I don't know,” he said. They both took another drink. How long was thing going to take? They could just leave, right? Right?

Isao took another sip of the wine. He had to admit that this wine did taste good. The vocalist wondered ordered it for them. The waiter came back with their food.
