LUNCH DETENTION

The rain beat down on the ground, a pair of mallets on huge drums. Clouds covered the sky so not a ray of light could get past them, or so Alexis wished. Actually, it was a beautiful day. The sun was shinning, the birds were singing, however it was raining in Alexis's mind. She was stuck in Mr. Alfred's classroom. He was so evil, he should have horns! Alexia had skipped Mr. Alfred's English class this morning by lying on the roof of the cafeteria. Everyone went there to ditch class. Mr. Alfred had caught her getting down, though. That had not been pleasant.

Alexia was so sad she had gotten caught. Now she was in LUNCH DETENTION. She was Appalled, any other teacher would have sent her to the principle, or suspended her, but no! Lunch detention! How could he do this?! It was abuse! Child abuse! And he was forcing her to work! She was scraping used Gum off the bottom of desks, for peat's sake! This was against her constitutional rights! It was cruel and unusual punishment! This was an outrage! She'd call the governor and the president! Even the F.B.I! She should call her mom! Alexia sighed, “I need a shrink!”

“Of coarse you do, but we knew that.” Her worst enemy Alicia said. “I heard about what happened, he is so mean, but guess what?”

“What, Alicia? Rubbing it in my face? You want to brag about how you got to be at lunch and I don't? Go ahead! I don't need any stupid lunch and its bad enough I have to do this and then you come in and I want to puke even more! You ditched too! I saw you on the roof of the gym! And yet, I'm the only one in here! I am the only one to get caught. You are as evil and vile as he is! I hate you! Now go ahead and brag!”

“I just came to say you could leave.” And with that, she walked away from a severely stunned Alexia. SHE WAS FREE!
