Two weeks had passed when the party arrived at the castle. It was around midnight when Bo put the horses safely away in the stable. Everyone was feeling the strain from traveling and Ryo watched as Nightwing approached him. He slowly raised his injured hand to the horse's muzzle and gently stroked it. He could move his whole arm, but he still had problems controlling his muscles.

"I'm sorry you had to miss out on all of it," Ryo said softly as the horse watched him. "But the road was much too dangerous for you."

"Come on, Ryo," Lee said softly as Lyre pushed his way out of the stable.

"I feel bad for neglecting you like this. You were my only companion in those six years."

"Let's go to bed, baby."

Ryo stared into the animal's eyes, sensing the emotions that the stallion could not express and blinked his eyes. Lee took his hand and kissed it, gently running his tongue over Ryo's rings. Ryo glanced at him then stared past him, his eyes seeing the images of the past.

"Don't get lost back there again," Lee said as he caressed Ryo's chin.

"Please, your highness, let the animals rest. All of this has been hard on them as well," Bo said and Ryo blinked his eyes.

"What?" he asked and Lee drew him away.

"Let's get to bed. It's very late and your arm needs to finish healing."

"Where's Lyre?"

"Probably in his room with his lover. He hasn't been around him constantly like you have."

"I'm a little jealous of that."

"Are you calling me a pain in the ass?"

"As submissive as you are? Hell no."

"I wasn't meaning it like that."

"I know. Let's get to our room. I need a bath."

There was a hiss and a screech outside and Ryo ran to the door to see what the problem was. Lirin hovered in the air, growling at Feral. The firecat's back arched up, flames leaping from his body.

"Lirin stop it. He's going to live here now. What? No. He's not taking your place. You protected my son's egg on the journey home. I can never forget that."

Lirin chirped and landed on Ryo's shoulder. He affectionately licked Ryo's skin and Lee frowned.

"I think I'm a little jealous. I should be the one tasting your skin," he said and Feral looked at him.

"Why? Is it good?" the cat asked and Lee licked his lips. Ryo glanced at him for a second then looked away.

"He's delicious. Especially his dark meat."

"Why the dark meat?"

"Don't get him started," Ryo said and Liring chirped. "I'm sorry. I thought he was getting you. Blame it on him."

"Blame what?"

"You left Lirin behind."

"I'm sorry. I forgot. I remembered when we were halfway on our journey."

"Come on. Let's get back to our room. Lirin, will you find Feral a place to sleep? If you're going to take that attitude, then I'm going to order you."

Lirin chirped meekly then landed on the ground and chirped to Feral. Feral followed him and Ryo took Lee's hand. He smiled as Lee leaned closer to him and kissed his ear.

"Are you ready to rape me now?" Lee asked and Ryo looked at him.

"It isn't rape if you agree to it," Ryo said.

"Okay, I meant brutalize. Or at least the best you can manage. I don't want to overtax your arm."

"It's getting better."

"Yes, it is but I still don't want you to overdo it. I guess this means that I'm going to have to give it to you."

"Are you getting aggressive?"

"I can if I need to be."

"Maybe I'll take you up on that."

"Really?"

"How about some alcohol too?"

"Are we going to drink it or are we going to play with it? You want to dip and suck it?"

"I may need some good rubbing alcohol. Shall we check the kitchen?"

"Wine cellar is where alcohol is stored, Ryo."

"Fine. We'll go to the cellar."

"Are you glad to be home again?"

"Of course. It's nice to actually have a home to come back to."

"Better than the apartment in the city, isn't it?"

"A hell of a lot better. We've got more room to play."

"We're back from a fucked up journey and that's all you can think about."

"What, the journey?"

"No..."

Ryo grinned slightly as Lee opened the door that lead to the wine cellar. He followed Lee down the cold stone stairs into a room that smelled of fermenting produce. Lee walked over to the wine racks and looked at the bottles.

"Are you being a bartender again?" he asked and Lee nodded his head.

"I don't want you to spill any of this. Not if we're going to use it for cleansing. Also, what you're carrying is pretty big so I'm going to need a lot of it," he said.

"It's not going to take the whole damned thing if you're just covering it."

"I know but I still have to pay attention to your tail and wings."

"Don't put wine on them. You'll ruin the taste."

"All right. Let's get upstairs then. Your eyes are showing fatigue from everything."

Ryo yawned widely and Lee placed his free arm around Ryo's waist.

"Come on, my young king. Let's get you to the bedroom," he said and Ryo glanced at him.

"You're only older than me by two years," he said.

"I know. But I like to point out how young you are sometimes."

"It doesn't really matter that much, does it?"

"What?"

"Age."

"Of course not. I love you no matter what."
