Illexian folded his arms as he turned away from the window. He crossed over to his throne, sat down, and draped a leg over the arm of the chair. Things were happening that he had not predicted and that annoyed him. The demons were much stronger than he liked. The fire that kindled Ryo's spirit seemed to be inexhaustible as he looked through his notes. In only a few short weeks, Ryo had beaten the disease that he had been inflicted with and he was forcing himself to become stronger. He had almost won, his sources said, but he had the feeling that Ryo would not be brought down so easily.
The demons certainly seemed to have luck at their side and it infuriated him. For as long as he lived, the demons seemed to be a plague that would not go away. His people should have been supreme rulers of the land, not some creatures he had never seen before. They had to have come from the opposite side of the world but history would soon be changed. The last of Shorel's bloodline were coming his way and he would soon dispose of them both.
"This fight will be fun. He'd better not disappoint me by dying too quickly," Illexian said aloud as he ran a clawed hand over his leg. "His anger better not be an over-glorified show. That would just be depressing. I am expecting a fight and I better get it otherwise I may take it out on someone weaker than myself."

"Faster Lee!" Ryo demanded as he dodged another attack. Lee stopped and set the sword on the floor. Ryo watched him for a moment as Lee walked away from him. Where was he going? They had a lot of training to do.
"Ryo, sword fighting isn't my thing. I'm much better at archery," Lee said.
"Lee, I need the practice."
"Find someone else to play with you, Ryo. I can't get to the level you want me at. The sword is not my weapon."
"Lyre was pretty good with a sword but he's not here right now. I've got to get used to an entirely new sword because he took mine. The bastard."
"No he isn't."
"Don't get technical with me Lee. Right now, he's a bastard."
"Fine. Call him names if it'll make you feel better. What about your ancestor? Is he good at sword play?" Lee asked and Ryo shrugged his shoulders.
"I don't know. I haven't seen him around. He's probably with his lover," Ryo replied and Lee folded his arms.
"I bet he's having a better time than I am."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"We haven't done anything for three days now."
"Lee, I don't have the time, you know that. I have to be fully prepared for that bastard."
"I know you're not talking about Lyre now."
"Shut up. Where have you been?"
"Since when is it necessary for my descendant to keep an eye on me?" Shorel asked as he stepped into the room.
"Look, Lee quit on me and I need a sparring partner. Do you know how to use a sword?"
Shorel looked at Ryo for a moment, and then picked up the sword that Lee had discarded. He swung it a few times then gazed at Ryo. Ryo grinned as he tightened his grip on the scimitar. He had seen professionalism in Shorel's practice swings and knew that he was going to get a decent challenge.
"All right," he said as his eyes darkened. "Let's do it. Don't even start Lee."
"I wasn't going to," Lee said as he folded his arms. "You think I have a dirty mind or something."
"You do have a dirty mind," D said as he came up beside Lee.
"Your lack of support is touching," Lee said and glanced away.
"Bet you're glad he's healed."
"Damned glad. I don't know how much longer I could have handled that disease."
"He was being awfully stubborn, wasn't he?"
"Yes. He just needed to be pushed in the right direction, that's all. I mean, look at how determined he is now. The fire within him burns as fiercely as ever."
"I'm just glad he's on our side, aren't you?"
"Of course I am. It would be really bad if we were on opposing sides. That would sure hurt our relationship."
"I wasn't meaning it like that, but suit yourself. I know you always think about him in the worst way possible."
"Best way possible for me."
"You are sick Lee."
"I know, but I'm harmless. Look at him go. Why do I find him arousing right now?"
"You always find him arousing."
"True."
"Hey, you haven't seen my boy around lately, have you?" D inquired and Lee shook his head.
"No. Is he missing?" Lee asked.
"I haven't seen him lately."
"There was a horse missing from the stable this morning."
"Are you trying to say…?"
"Love makes us do irrational things."
"Hey Shorel."
"Hold on a minute Ryo," Lee said.
"What's the problem D?" Ryo asked as he put the tip of his blade on the floor.
"Nylia is missing. You haven't seen your mate recently, have you?" D asked.
"What's that got to do with anything?"
"He might be there, Ryo. Pay attention, will you?" Lee asked.
"Shut up Lee. I don't have time for this," Ryo said.
"Enthenia's looking out for him," Shorel replied.
"Damn him! He should have told me what he was doing," D said.
"Aren't children a pain in the ass? Let's get back to work. I need to become faster," Ryo said and picked up his weapon. Asilia entered the throne room and watched the two fight. It almost looked like he was gazing upon a mirror image except the fighting styles of Shorel and his descendant were completely different. Shorel fought with experience while Ryo fought with brutal determination. He could see that soon, Ryo would be more than prepared to fight the enemy and if the king ran into trouble, then Asilia would be there with his element to help him out.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Lyre asked as Nylia embraced him.
"I came to see you. I've missed you baby," Nylia said.
"Does Lee know you've left?"
"Yeah. Your dad's better too."
"That's good. Now go and watch somewhere. I've got a lot of work to do."
"You're brushing me off? I'm not going to accept that, dear. Besides, it looks like you've been working pretty hard. You need to take a break."
"Stop it."
"No, honey. I haven't seen you in awhile. I'm going to give you the attention you deserve."
"How's your training going? When did this one get here?" Enthenia asked as he stepped into the room.
"He just arrived. I sure wish Nuin were alive. I could use some gratification right about now," Eldinia said as Nylia laid a hand on Lyre's crotch.
"Should I take it out?" Nylia asked as he began to stroke Lyre.
"I need to get back to work," Lyre said as he watched Nylia with interest.
"Really? Then why are you getting tight down here?"
"Shut up."
"I want to take it out. Can I?"
"All right. You get too much like Lee at times. That's scary," Lyre said and Nylia grinned.
"But it makes things hot, doesn't it?" he asked and Lyre shrugged his shoulder.
"Yeah."
"I need to find a new lover," Eldinia said as he watched Nylia.
"You will take care of yourself out there, won't you?" Nylia asked as he pushed down Lyre's pants.
"Yes. I'm not going to be stupid like I was the last time," Lyre replied.
"Well that's good to know. You don't have the mentality to be stupid."
"Thanks. Baby..."
"I know. I can only go so far with my hands, can't I?"
"Just do what you have to do."
"Can I lay you out on the floor, then?"
"I don't know why I'm fighting you. All right. Let go of me, then."
"So when are you going to get back to your training?" Enthenia asked and Elldinia looked at him.
"I don't know, but there's only so much of this kind of smut that I can take. Man, I so wish Nuin was alive right now. Hey, you wouldn't...provide me with a favor, would you?" he asked and Enthenia looked at him blankly.
"Um...would you explain a little clearer to me?" he inquired.
"A demon needs an explanation?"
"I'm afraid, I've been out of society for entirely too long."
"Oh. I forgot about that. Well, would you be willing to grant me an intimate favor? You're the only one available right now and I really need to be taken care of. I haven't been in so long. By another person, I mean. I've been able to satisfy myself, but it's been lacking in something, if you know what I mean."
"You're asking me, a demon to..."
"I know, I know. It goes against your cultural code, but don't you think you can bend the rules a bit here? I mean, I'm going to go off and help fight that bastard who's the enemy of both demons and humans aren't I? Don't you think that accounts for something?"
"I suppose it does but..."
"Come on. I bet you're a little out of practice as it is. Wouldn't you like to get back into gear?"
"We would not do it here, though. We would do it in my personal quarters."
"Suits me. I don't care where I am so long as I get laid. I swear that if this need isn't taken care of, then I'm not going to be very useful out there on the battlefield."
"Yes, a clear mind helps in a fight. Very well. Against my reservations, I will do it. Follow me."
"Thanks so much. I owe you."
"Yes and I will make sure that this debt is paid in full."
