"So what exactly made you prefer a demon's love relationship?" Lyre asked and Eldinia sighed.

"You all are so beautiful. I always marveled at the head of the Martyr family..."

"Suxon," Lyre interrupted.

"Right. Suxon came to town. He always looked so fine."

"So he was the first demon you looked at."

"Yes. He was the first one I fantasized about. Then he brought Nuen to town and god that boy was fine."

"So did you make the first move? God those noises are getting me going."

"Actually, Nuen approached me first."

"Really? Interesting. I know Nuen was informed about our cultural laws early on."

"He saw something inside me that no one else did. Is that so strange?"

"No. Bonds of love are not strange at all. I just find it strange that a demon would find a human so attractive that he would want to live with him."

"Well, that's the reality of it."

"Sounds like they're letting up. Lee must be close to unconsciousness by now," Lyre commented as he took another drink from his bottle.

"They're driving me nuts," Eldinia said as Lyre poked the fire.

"I'm sorry. They'll be coming back soon, though. They're both tired. I can tell by how the noises suddenly died down."

***************

"That was good baby," Lee sighed and Ryo ran his hand through Lee's hair.

"It was good and thanks for being so persistent. I needed it," Ryo said and Lee smiled.

"I know you did. That's why I kept bugging you, baby," Lee said and ran his tongue over Ryo's hand.

"Stop that. We're going to have to go back to the camp. We're not exactly safe here."

"I know, but you're comfy. I bet our noises drove Lyre insane. He doesn't have anyone to make love to. He wouldn't bring himself down to a human's level."

"It's time to go back, dear."

"All right, Ryoshan. I'll get up."

"Pretty reluctantly, though."

"Well, I love your body, honey."

"I know you do," Ryo said and stood up. He stretched and Lee watched his graceful body move. Ryo always looked so good when he moved.

"You look really good when you do that," Lee said and Ryo looked at him.

"Don't even start. Let's just go back."

"All right. I'm kind of tired anyway."

"You should be. You're the one that got fucked."

"I know. I'm glad I did, though."

"You're an idiot," Ryo said as they neared their campsite. Lee folded his arms and glared at Ryo.

"I am not," he replied.

"You're pretty damned cute, though."

"I took the liberty of cooking your kill, Lee," Lyre commented as Ryo and Lee walked into camp.

"Thanks. I guess my mind was kind of...preoccupied," Lee said and Lyre smiled.

"I guess it was. We could hear you from here. The two of you can be quite arousing, you know."

"Let me take care of Ryo before I get to the rest of us."

"Simply because he's king?" Eldinia asked and Lee looked at him.

"No. He eats first because he eats less. Here you go, baby."

He held out a small piece of meat and placed it in Ryo's mouth.

"That's all he's going to eat?" Eldinia asked and Lyre nodded his head.

"My father eats very little," he replied.

"But that's insane."

"It's the way things are," Lee said and glanced at Ryo. "More?"

"A little," Ryo said and Lee pulled off an even smaller piece of meat.

"There you go. Why don't you take care of feeding yourself and him?"

"All right," Lyre said and glanced at Eldinia. "What's with you?"

"I do have a name, you know," he said.

"I know that and believe me, they're not usually so harsh with humans. It's just that they've got a lot of other things to worry about."

"You don't have to patronize me, you know."

"I wasn't meaning to patronize. Here. It's not much, but it's better than nothing."

"Enough Lee," Ryo said and Lee drew away.

"Are you sure? There's still plenty left," he said and Ryo shook his head.

"We need to save some for later. Food is going to be scarce around that bastard's domicile. If we don't save it none of you will be of any use when I truly need you."

"Then should we put some back?" Lyre asked and Ryo glanced at him.

"Go ahead and eat what you've got. You'll need it because you eat a hell of a lot more than I do."

"Why do we use so many human expressions if they don't apply to us?"

"Can you explain that, Lee?" Ryo asked and Lee shook his head.

"No. Karu probably could," Lee said and Lyre made a face.

"That old demon is a pain in the ass, isn't he? Don't say a damned thing, Lee."

"Why would I say anything?"

"Lee, I know you entirely too well."

"That's a bad thing?"

"Shut up."

"They always have these arguments, don't they?" Eldinia asked and Lyre nodded his head.

"Yes they do. They enjoy taunting each other, though," Lyre replied.

"Shut up," Ryo said.

"It's true, Dad."

"Come on baby, let's get some sleep," Lee said as he pulled on Ryo's arm.

"We're not doing anything tonight," Ryo said.

"You're no fun."

"We just did something. What are you complaining about?"

"I know, but still..."

"Babe, you always want it. You're not going to get it this time."

"Aw..."

"Baby please. I've told you my reasoning behind this. You're pleading isn't going to change anything. Besides, I can't forget the words in those books."

Ryo waved his hand and the fire died down. He yawned then glanced at Lee, who was taking his shirt off. He coughed slightly and Lee looked at him.

"Put it back on. You're sleeping in your clothes tonight."

"But..." Lee protested.

"If we have to get up fast, it'll be a hell of a lot easier with clothes on," Ryo said. "Now go ahead and get some sleep. I'll be fine."
