Teshi Higuro carried his sword in his left hand. Blood streamed down his right arm from a large gash on his shoulder. He stared into the eyes of the demon approaching him. The demon was a voluptuous woman. Her body was bare. Her eyes were narrow as she stared at her pray.
“You’ll not best me, you demon!” Teshi cried, brandishing his sword high. “Come and get me!”
The demon shot at him. She stabbed her claws into Teshi’s chest. He gave a loud cry of pain as blood gushed from around the demon’s claws where they continued to pierce him. Teshi brought his sword under and shoved it through the abdomen of the demon. She wailed loudly in pain.
The cave they stood in began to rumble. “Beast!” Teshi shouted, his voice echoing off the cave walls. “You think you’ve defeated me? Never! I’ll sap your strength, and it shall be forever stored in my bloodline! And also, say hello to your eternal resting place.”
The cave walls began to crumble. Teshi’s sword began to shine brightly. Red aura appeared around the demon and was slowly drawn through the sword to Teshi’s body. A large boulder slammed on the ground only two feet from them.
Teshi pulled away from the demon. She stumbled backwards and fell to the ground. Teshi, grasping his chest, turned from her and made for the exit. The cave began to collapse behind him as he made his way out. With a lunge he cleared the exit just as the mouth of the cave fell in, ceiling the cave completely.
Teshi stood and took a moment to take in his feat. He glared over the collapsed cave and smiled slightly. “Now, my dear sister, you can rest in peace,” he said.
“You’ll not best me, you demon!” Teshi cried, brandishing his sword high. “Come and get me!”
