Clubbing
Mai adapted to Russian life pretty quickly in one day. Nikita started her on a learning Russian program. Communication wasn't the only thing Mai was working on. She wanted to work as well. Nikita loved that idea as well.
“It's better to have two incomes in the house than one,” he reasoned. “Plus, we will be out of each other's hair day after day.” Mai liked the sound of that. She began looking in the classified ads for a new job.
Mai wasn't the only one improving with Nikita's help. Saturday night came just in time. Time to party. For Nikita, Egor, and Stefan, that meant one thing. Time for another installment of Operation: Cherry. Who was the virgin in question? His name was Hal Cage. He had been friends with the boys for four years. Hal first came to Russia on a student visa. He got a job as a dealer in a casino. The man managed to save up enough to stay in the country legally. He may have been book smart, but other than that, old boy was pretty much screwed. Enter, Stefan, Nikita, Egor, and Stefan. They became his guides through Russia. Hal learned a great plenty from them. But yet, he still managed to stay a good at heart. Not the way to go in the boys' book. So, they devised a plan. Take Hal out ever night on Saturdays, hook him up with someone, and help him get laid by the end of the night. So far, nothing. But tonight was the night! (Or so they hoped.) Hal walked along bored. He just couldn't understand it at all.
“I don't get it,” he said aloud. The boys stopped and turned to their friend.
“Get what?” Nikita asked. Hal shrugged at them.
“Night after night we go partying on Saturdays!” he complained.
“So?” Stefan asked. Hal shrugged again.
“Can't we just have a quiet night in for a change?” he asked whining.
“No!!!” the boys yelled out. *Sweat drop on Hal's head* “Figures!” he thought. “They are just a bunch of night owls!” The boys came to Club Ghost. They could hear the music pumping from outside. Ghost always played popular world electric music on Saturdays. Goths, singles, and tech geeks dominated this place. Hal looked on uneasily. Nikita, Egor, and Stefan felt the same.
“Can we go home now?” Hal asked them worried. Egor and Stefan turned to their leader with the same question in their eyes. Nikita shock his head.
“No,” he said. They all looked at him shocked. Nikita stood firm.
“Anything to make our Hal here a man!” he announced. Egor and Stefan nodded in agreement. *Sweat drop on Hal's head* “They are relentless, aren't they?” he thought in defeat. The boys entered the club. Halloween City in Club Ghost. Black and red all over the place. Drinks like blood floated all over the place. Little rubber black bats hung from the ceiling as heavy JRock music pounded through the air. Hal, Stefan, and Egor crossed worry again.
“Come on,” Egor said. “Let's go.” Nikita held out his arm before they could leave.
“Mingle!” he ordered. They all looked at him confused.
“What?!?” Stefan yelled out. His friend turned to him grinning.
“We came all this way to get Hal a date,” he reminded. “So we can't abandon that tonight! Got me?” The boys nodded reluctantly. Nikita smiled again.
“Good,” he replied. “Now, go mingle!” The boys scattered out for the night. Nikita stayed over near the bar to observe. His boys went out to find women. The night in Ghost sailed by really quickly. Nikita looked at his boys. They all were picking up the girls. (Well, Egor and Stefan were. Hal? Not so much.) Nikita sighed to himself disappointed. He remembered his single days clearly. Good times. But now…
Nikita shook his head of the recent events. “No!” he thought. “Can't think about that tonight!” The man tried his best to ignore his current situation. But yet, Mai wouldn't leave his brain. She always had that effect on him. Even married, Mai still wouldn't leave his mind. Nikita began wondering what she was doing now. The next thing he knew he was leaving the club and going home. His friends didn't notice at all.
