Princess Aralina

Princess Aralina had definitely and irrevocably deemed the day as ghastly, dreadful, foul and tiring.

Why? You ask? Well, day had started out alright; she'd got up, bathed, and been dressed by her hand maid and gone done to breakfast. She was in a good mood, but a little nervous, nervous because she had decided that today was the day that she would tell her best friend Lance, the Royal Advisors son, how she felt about him.

That's right folks; Aralina is in love with her best friend of thirteen years. (That's how long they had been friends)

Anyway, after breakfast was over, Aralina set out to find Lance. Seeing him about to go into the gardens, she called out to him, but he (being the oblivious blockhead that he is) didn't hear her.

Before we continue, I think I should just clear up a few things about Lance. He is not stupid, he just sometimes fails to see what's right in front of his nose, until someone points it out to him or if it's a solid object; he trips over it, also he is not ugly. He is a strapping young man (aged 19) with chestnut hair and warm brown eyes and an infectious grin.

Now onwards.

Now Aralina, being the determined young lass that she is, followed him out into the gardens. Wondering why he was in such a hurry, Aralina followed at a distance, until he reached the center of the Sage garden, with the Princess hiding behind a big shrub with a good view.

Lance approached the figure on one of the benches. Hearing the approaching footsteps the mysterious female (who had been hidden by shadows so far) stood up and low and behold it was Princess Rose, Aralinas' elder sister. Wondering what her oh so precious elder sister could possibly be doing with HER Lance, she watched the unfolding scene with mounting horror.

This is the scene that Aralina witnessed, written in script form to lessen the disgusting foulness that is the dialogue (no fault of mine though)

Lance (now holding Rose in his arms): My Flower, I managed to ask your father after breakfast.

Rose (looking into his eyes with a sappy lovey dovey look): And? What did my father say? Please tell me he said yes!

Lance (also with the sappy overused lovey dovey look): It seems I can grant your request this day, for indeed he did say yes and both your parents and my father gave our union their blessing!

After this announcement Lance kissed Rose. Though Aralina didn't see this, because she was already running as fast as her legs could carry her to the lavender garden outside her room, wherein she had a good old fashioned hour crying session.
Having run out of tears to cry the princess was about to get up and move on while forgetting about Lance, well that was what she was going to do until she felt cold steel at her neck and heard a voice by her ear, “One noise and you're dead,” The strain of having her heart broken, an hour crying session and being threatened proved too much for the princess, so she did the only thing she could do. This was to faint, and miraculously not get even a scratch from the sword at her throat on her way to the ground.
