Slowly but surely, the two healed. D was certain that it had to do with the two of them being reunited and within themselves, they had found the strength to overcome their injuries. D was pleased at the doctor's accuracy in Lee's injury because he had recovered with minor scars but his balance was completely off. Ryo spent the afternoon, gently guiding him as Lee once again found his footing. D watched the two with interest at Lee tripped over his own feet. Ryo smiled as he helped Lee stand again. The lesson was taking longer than expected for Lee seemed to be in the habit of tripping over rocks half hidden in the ground. D watched him for a moment then shook his head. He had the suspicion that Lee was taking longer than it should because he was enjoying Ryo's company.

"Is he actually trying or is he just enjoying your company?" D asked as Ryo helped him up once more.

"I'm not exactly sure. Knowing Lee it could be either," Ryo said and Lee glared at him.

"That's not funny," he said and Ryo grinned. He ran his hands through Lee's hair for a moment then gazed at the sky.

"But true."

"I don't need to be insulted."

"Yes you do. I've been unconscious for the past week."

"You're a bastard."

"Don't get pissed off, honey. It doesn't suit you."

"I believe he's getting the hang of it again," D said as Lee took six successful steps forward without tripping.

"You don't have to cling so tight to my arm," Ryo said as he pried Lee nails out of his shirt.

"Sorry. You aren't bleeding are you?" Lee asked as Ryo pushed him away.

"No I'm fine. I think you can do it on your own now."

"But I liked how close we were."

"He's definitely doing better," D said as Ryo took a few steps away from him.

"Yes he is. Walk this way Lee," Ryo said as Lee tried to regain his balance.

"I'm coming," Lee said.

"Slowly," D said and Lee glared at him.

"Why are you two so sarcastic?"

"Why not?" Ryo asked as Lee carefully walked towards him.

"You aren't helping anything."

"Don't start whining."

"Don't be so sarcastic then."

Ryo grinned as he took his hand. Lee gazed at him and smiled as he was pulled close to Ryo. He closed his eyes as Ryo ran a hand through his hair. Ryo watched him with interest as he ran his fingers over Lee's left ear. Lee sighed in contentment as Ryo leaned forward and kissed him. He felt Ryo's tongue deep within his mouth and opened his eyes. They had been through a lot, it was true, but now they seemed both ready to accept the road that had been chosen for them. If there was anything this adventure had done, it had brought them closer together. He pinned Lee against a tree and kissed his neck. Lee gasped as Ryo began biting Lee's neck. It was so good to be together again.


"Again thank you for everything Raling," Ryo said as they met Raling at the castle gates. They had left as soon as Lee had regained his balance. That didn't take long and after they had made love together, Lee was more than ready to go back home. They began riding and Nightwing was thankful that his master had returned. He had experienced lots of different riders while Ryo was injured but he was glad that his original master was on his back once again.

"It was the least I could do, your highness. I'm glad to see that you are both doing well," Raling said as Lee climbed off of Nightwing.

"How are the plants?" Lee asked as Ryo glanced at him.

"Why don't you go look? Don't come back covered in flowers," Ryo said and Lee flushed.

"It's going to take awhile for you to live that down," D said as Lee walked away from them.

"He's upset. Maybe I shouldn't have said that last thing."

"He'll get over it."

Ryo yawned as he dismounted and led Nightwing to the stable. Everyone in his path expressed their relief that the party had safely returned. Bo took Nightwing from Ryo and led him into the stable. Ryo walked into the castle and contentedly sighed. It felt good to be back where he belonged.

"Are you still having doubts about your position?" Karu asked and Ryo glanced up.

"No. I'm ready to bring order back to our land," Ryo said as he placed his sword on the ground.

"Sometimes life forces us to learn extremely difficult lessons."

"That's true. You did a good job keeping everything under control."

"I've had experience."

"I'm going to clean up. I'll be back down shortly," Ryo said and Karu nodded his head.

"We shall talk about the ceremony when you're finished," Karu said as Ryo began to walk up the stairs. He stepped into the bedroom and removed his clothes. He stretched for a moment then walked into the bathroom. There was a sound at the window and Ryo turned around. Aquarion crouched on the windowsill watching him and Ryo blinked his eyes as if trying to convince himself that the creature was actually there.

"What are you doing here?" Ryo asked and Aquarion touched the necklace that Ryo had given him. He took it off and held it out to Ryo. Ryo walked slowly over to him, remembering what had happened the last time he had run into the strange creature. Aquarion watched him with interest as the necklace dangled down from his long nails. Ryo touched his hand and Aquarion wrapped his fingers around Ryo's hand. He drew Ryo close and kissed him and Ryo's eyes grew wide in shock for a moment then softened as he felt Aquarion's tongue deep within his mouth. It was a sensation unlike anything he had felt before and Ryo was trying to decide whether he liked or disliked the feeling. Aquarion's ears twitched at a distant sound and drew away. He lowered his head and Ryo placed a hand underneath the creature's chin.

"Why are you here?" Ryo inquired again and Aquarion looked at him.

I want to help you, Aquarion replied, his mouth moving silently. Please let me go. I do not want to be here when he arrives. I don't want to be hurt again.

"Lee?" Ryo asked and Aquarion nodded his head.

I'm sorry for what I did the last time you saw me. You're just so...pretty. I want to learn more about you. I want to help. I must go.

Aquarion scrambled out the window and Ryo watched him glide down to the street below. The creature's wings were so beautiful...He jumped slightly when the bedroom door opened and Lee glanced at him inquisitively.

"I thought you were playing in the greenhouse," Ryo said as Lee walked up to him.

"I changed my mind. I thought I might take a bath. What was so interesting out the window?" Lee asked as he took Ryo's hand.

"Nothing. I was just looking out it. I was planning to take a bath as well but I think my idea's changed."

"That's okay, honey."

"By the placement of your hands, I know what you're thinking about."

"And you like the feeling, baby."

"You've gotten your stroke going."

"Would you like me to eat it?"

"There's nothing feminine about the way you are now."

"You're never going to let me forget that are you?"

"I don't mean it to be insulting."

"I know."

"Oh honey…"

Ryo closed his eyes, remembering how intense the feeling had been when he was stripped of his eyesight. He ran a hand through Lee's hair and Lee stopped momentarily to gaze up at him. It seemed funny that even their bad experiences could come back to them in a positive manner. He watched Ryo with interest, knowing that his experience with blindness was what was making his emotions run higher than normal.

"Lee…I can't take much more of this."

"I know baby."

"Oh honey…"

"Not being able to see really heightened your emotions," Lee commented as he moved away from Ryo.

"Is this how you usually feel when I'm through with you?" Ryo gasped as Lee watched him with interest.

"I like how sensitive you've become."

"I'm only this way when I'm alone with you. I don't have the same feminine mind set as you."

"Does it annoy you, darling?"

"Does what annoy me?"

"The way I am."

"No. I was merely stating that I can't be as sensitive as you."

"Okay. Sometimes I can't tell whether you're serious or not."

"You are such an idiot at times."

"No I'm not."

"Don't get mad honey."

He embraced Lee and Lee sighed. Ryo ran his fingers over his wings as Lee kissed his chest. Ryo stopped as Lee ran his tongue down Ryo's skin. He stopped suddenly as Ryo pinned him to the wall. Ryo's eyes darkened as he leaned closer to Lee. Lee opened his mouth and closed his eyes as Ryo's tongue began to probe his mouth. Ryo ran his hands over Lee's skin as Lee struggled as Ryo's tongue continued to probe his throat.

"You two aren't practicing fore the ceremony are you?" D asked as he walked into the bedroom. Lee gasped as Ryo pulled away from him. He wiped his mouth as Lee placed a hand over his heart and continued to try to regulate his breathing.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Ryo asked as he turned on the bath water.

"Are you getting ready for the ceremony?"

"Not consciously. So where is that dress of yours, Lee?"

"It's not a dress," Lee said as he picked up a couple of towels.

"It looks like a dress."

"He's upset," D said as Lee walked out of the bathroom.

"I'm not upset. Look. It's a robe not a dress," Lee said as he held up the garment in question. "See? It wraps around and you tie it with a belt."

"It's more of a cross between the two. Robes don't have wing slits."

"All of our shirts have wing slits. We can't stand how the fabric rubs up against the base of our wings," Ryo said as he climbed into the bath.

"Yeah but not like this. There's the collar then a big hole like some woman's dress," D said as Lee watched Ryo.

"What do you think, honey?" he asked and Ryo glanced at him.

"About what?"

"About the robe."

"It's a traditional outfit."

"I know that."

"What else am I supposed to think about it?"

"Does it really look like a dress to you?"

"What does it matter? You have to wear it."

Lee knelt beside the bathtub and Ryo glanced up at him. He laid his hands on Ryo's shoulders and began to rub them. Ryo closed his eyes as Lee continued to massage them.

"What color are you going to paint your nails?" Ryo asked and Lee's face grew red.

"I don't know," he replied as he looked away from Ryo.

"Embarrassed again, honey?"

"No."

"Yes you are. Take that thing off and join me."

"He looks kind of cute in that thing," D said as Lee took off the robe. Lee glared at him for a moment then carefully set the robe in a safe place.

"I prefer him in pants," Ryo said as Lee placed his legs into the water. "Or nothing at all. That's even better."

"Are you trying to flatter me?" Lee asked as Ryo kissed his neck. Lee moved and Ryo watched as he crawled onto his lap.

"I don't know. What exactly are you doing?"

"Don't question, baby."

"I think he wants to practice some mating rituals," D said as he picked up Lee's robe. "I'm going to move this into the bedroom. I'm sure you don't want it getting wet. You two can get pretty physical at times."

"I'm not complaining," Ryo said as Lee licked his chest. He patted Lee's head as Lee continued to run his tongue over Ryo's skin.

"You wouldn't complain. You'd better not take a long time in the bath. There are a lot of preparations to be made."

"I know. I'll get started as soon as Lee finishes his ride."

"This is so great, honey," Lee said as Ryo's eyes narrowed in excitement.

"You are making me so hot, baby."

"I know. I can feel it."

"You two look like animals," D said and Ryo glanced at him.

"If you're not going to join us then don't say anything," Ryo said as he leaned back in the bath.

"Why should I join in? Lee's got you pretty well covered."

"You are so right D," Lee gasped.

"Oh honey…" Ryo gasped.

"He's closing his eyes again," D said as Ryo gritted his teeth in excitement.

"Being blinded really helped his emotions," Lee said as he began to breathe erratically.

"Looks like you two are almost done," D commented as he watched Ryo.

"Oh baby…" Lee gasped as he fell onto Ryo's chest.

"Ever since my blindness I think my senses have heightened," Ryo said as he gently pushed Lee off of him. Lee gazed at Ryo and smiled as he exhaustedly stroked Ryo's skin.

"Someone's worn out," D said as he Ryo watched Lee slowly stand. He picked up a towel and wrapped it around his waist.

"Yeah. Me," Ryo said as he stretched his legs.

"You usually don't get worn out from physical activity."

"He's become more sensitive. I like how responsiveness," Lee said as Ryo climbed out of the bath and shook his wings. "Stop honey. You're getting everything wet."

"It makes it easier to dry them when he gets the excess water off," D said as he picked up a dry towel. He began to run it over Ryo's wings as Lee ran another towel over Ryo's body. He ran it down Ryo's tail and Ryo glanced at him.

"If I ever wanted to give it, would the extension get in the way?" Lee asked.

"What?" Ryo inquired.

"You know. If I ever wanted to be on the giving side, would your tail get in the way?"

"No. Perhaps you can experiment later. We really need to get some work done."

"Can Lee put on that outfit just for the hell of it?" D asked and Ryo shrugged his shoulders.

"I don't know. Ask him."

"I'm not going to put makeup on," Lee said.

"Do you even have…?"

"Yes," Ryo said and D looked at him.

"Are you serious?"

"You don't know what he did in the city, do you?"

"I know he worked in a male bar but..."

"Don't say anything," Lee said as he walked away from Ryo.

"What did he do?" D asked as Lee put on his robe.

"Baby no."

"Okay, I have got to know. What did he do?"

"It wasn't a bar, it was a nightclub," Ryo said.

"Okay so what did he do? He never really told me. He just told me he worked in a male bar."

"He had to wear a dress and makeup. He had to serve drinks."

"I can picture him in a dress," D said as Lee turned away from them. He walked out of the bathroom and took out a clean outfit from the closet.

"He's pissed off. Don't get so sensitive honey."

"I told you to be quiet," Lee muttered as he put on a pair of black pants.

"Why are you so upset Lee? It's the way you are," Ryo said as Lee walked past him.

"I've had enough of your sarcastic remarks."

"I wasn't being sarcastic. I was telling the truth. I don't understand why it upsets you so much."

"Apparently it does," D said as Ryo took Lee's hand.

"Come on honey. Get over it."

Lee lowered his head and Ryo ran his fingers through his hair. He closed his eyes as Ryo ran his tongue over Lee's left ear. D cleared his throat and Lee looked at him. D was right. Now was not the time for them to be starting up again.

"We've got work to do baby," Lee said as Ryo caressed him.

"I know. I just wanted to make sure you're all right," Ryo said and Lee smiled.

"I'm fine honey."

"Good. I'm going to get dressed."

"I'd better go downstairs and inform Karu that you're coming," D said as Ryo walked out of the bathroom.

"I'll go with you," Lee said as he slipped on a pair of sandals. Ryo watched them walk out of the room and sighed. There were many preparations to be made before the coronation.
