Original Stories Fan Fiction ❯ Running Through Evergreens ❯ Running Through Evergreens ( Chapter 1 )

[ A - All Readers ]
It was dark, as I ran through a sea of evergreen trees. Too dark to see the shadows lingering for a moment to see what the noisy sounds were. My foosteps are getting more fraintic, I can tell from the way they pound on the forest floor louder every time they touch the ground.

I scream in in agony. Not because of a flesh wound, but because my heart was breaking. No one has ever meant more to me than you do, but you took that all away tonight.

The sun was starting to show over the endless mess of tress now, showing that I've been running for hours. The colours clashed with my foggy vision from hours of tears creating a river down my distressed features.

I ran and I ran and I ran. I ran until my legs could run no more.I have no idea why I'm running anymore. It doesn't matter though. Nothing does. Nothing will ever matter and it's all your fault.

Now I remember. . .

You said you'd never leave me; never stop loving me. . .

But you did.

You left. And now I'm all alone. I'm stuck with running through evergreens.

You left me. . . The words echo in my head repeatedly. Over and over and over and over mercilessly. I try to take comfort in the warmth coming from the morning sun, to no avail. The tears just kept flowing. I slow down, knowing running is just making my vision worse. I wipe at the wetness around my eyes, but flinch as the skin burned from the abuse.

We could of lived together.....forever! Why must you always deny what you want?! It's not like I would of denied you! It was foolsish to love you the way I did then. . .the way I love you now. But it's even more foolish that I thought you loved me too.

Again, the words I dread.

You left me.
