Sakura's Adventure
Written by: Kikitare
Another day. Ever since I had to leave the heavens because of a horrible curse, nothing has been what it's supposed to be. I never thought that being an Angel would be so tough. Now I am stuck on Earth, deprived of my wings, and forced to live a regular human life. I wonder how hard that will be...
"Vanilla, do you think I'll ever be able to go back to being an Angel?" I asked my cat with a sigh. She purred against my leg. "I know what I have to do but there's one problem. I don't know where the person is that put this curse on me! I don't even know how to get rid of the curse! Vanilla, I don't know what I am going to do. I'm scared," I said with a tear. "Meow," Vanilla purred. "I just miss all of my friends, Purity, Ichigo, Faith, and all of them! Truth is Vanilla, I just want to go home. Being an Angel means being full of hope. I just guess I make a terrible Angel." Vanilla just stared at me like I had said that we were going to forget about celebrating Christmas for the rest of our time on Earth. "I know that look," I said. "Don't you dare make me go out there and search for someone I don't even know! I know I have to do it, but first I need to look up on this person. I know his name, but there could be thousands of people with that very same name. The only other thing I know about him is the fact that he is a demon." Suddenly, an idea struck me. "Vanilla, lets go to the library to look up a book on infamous demons."
"Wow! I didn't know that there were so many infamous demons in this world!" I said holding the book on demons. "It says here, Vanilla, that out of all the demons in the world, the most infamous is Kabotoris. That's his name! That's the guy who put this evil curse on me!" I whispered to Vanilla. Knowing who I was dealing with, I asked the librarian if I could buy the book. "Of course you can, dear. In fact, you can have it for free! I have at least thirty copies of that book in the back," she said with a grin. "Thanks! I promise to take good care of it!" I said to her, then I grabbed Vanilla, and ran home.
"I didn't relize this before, Vanilla, but that lady looked familiar..... It's like I've seen her before, in my nightmares," I said, "Wait! I think I have seen her before. Why don't we look at all of the demons in the book. We might see them along the way." After brushing up on all the demons that exist, I started to pack for my journey into the unknown. Suddenly, I heard a noise. "Who's there?" I cried. No one answered. "Hello? Vanilla, is that you? Whoever you are, show yourself!" "Come..." said a voice. "Huh? Who's there?!?!" I said to the voice. "Come...Come to me, Sakura....I have waited many years for you..." "What do you want from me?!" I cried. "I want to kill you..." "No! NO! I'm not going to listen!!! No, no, NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed, "Huh? It-it was only a nightmare... A really bad nightmare. Vanilla, you'll never guess what kind of nightmare that was! Vanilla? Vanilla! Where are you? Quit playing! I'm serious!" "MEOW!" Vanilla jumped onto the bed. "Wha- Vanilla, don't do that! Anyway, guess what! I just had a nightmare, and I think that Kabotoris is responsible. Come on! We've got to finish packing! Kabotoris could attack us, and if we're not prepared, we're goners!" So after we finshed packing, we ate breakfast, and started our journey into the darkness.
"He he he...Go ahead, Sakura, go and journey on to find me.....I'll be waiting.......But while I'm waiting, you can fight some of my minions..." the voice said to Sakura as she walked on through the woods. "Vanilla, stay close. Kabotoris is planning to attack us with his demon minions. I can feel it." Suddenly, someone, or something, popped out of the nearest bush and grabbed me. I started to scream, but the thing covered my mouth. "Shh!" it said, "If we're not quiet, he'll find out where you are." "Who are you?" I managed to whisper. "My name is Jeri. I was sent here by someone in my dream to come help you. Who are you?" "My name is Sakura." "Why are you even here?" Jeri said. "I have to find Kabotoris the Demon King. He put a terrible curse on me," I said, "and and I have to find him to find out how to get rid of this curse." "Wow. Sounds like you have your hands full," Jeri said, "Even I haven't had to fight any demons, and I've gone through many hardships." "Yeah, well, it's not fun, I can tell you that." " Hey! Why don't you come with me to the hot spring? Lots of woodland creatures and nymphs live there!" Jeri said. "I guess I could go. What about Kabotoris?" I said. "Don't worry! Kabotoris knows nothing about the hot spring! Just close your eyes and follow me!" "That's something Faith would've said," I whispered to myself, but I grabbed Vanilla, closed my eyes, grabbed on to Jeri's hand, and started into the woods.
"Here we are!" Jeri said as we entered the woodland clearing. I opened my eyes, and saw that the whole clearing was filled with wonderful creatures! There were woodland nymphs and a few little woodland creatures! There were even some woodland girls that lived in the clearing. "Wow," I said, " This place is amazing! I didn't know that there were so many amazing creatures and people living on this earth! Where I'm from, we had no idea how amazing earth was and is. We just asumed all humans and creatures were cool," I said, "Now I know that all earth creatures are awsome!" "Where are you from? I've been all around Japan, and I have never seen you before," Jeri said. "I...I....If I tell you, will you all promise to keep it a secret?" I asked. "Yes," they all said. "Alright, I'll tell you. I'm an Angel. I had to come live on earth without my wings because of a curse that the demon king, Kabotoris, put on me. I'm on a journey to find him and find out how to get rid of the curse. Before I left the heavens, my three best friends, Purity, Ichigo, and Faith, gave suggestions on how to get rid of the curse. Faith said it could be to kill who put the curse on me, Ichigo said it might be to find a certain object, and Purity said it could be true love. I still don't know which one it is yet. I just want to be free of this curse, because otherwise, if I don't get rid of it, it could destroy me." Vanilla purred against me as if to say, "Don't worry! I won't let that happen." "Thanks, Vanilla, but how are we going to find Kabotoris all by ourselves?" I said, "I mean, it's not as if we could just form an army of people who hate demons in just a few days! It's impossible! I'm scared." I started crying. It was starting to get dark. "There, there, don't cry," a girl with bunny ears said to me, "We can help you. In fact, we WILL help you! But first, why don't you stay here for the night? You look as if you don't have a place in this world. You can sleep with me and my sister. My name is Kagome, and my sister's is Paulina. We'll make sure nothing happens to you while you sleep. Promise!" Kagome said. I nodded my head and wiped the tears from my eyes. Then I grabbed her hand, followed her to her little house, and slowly fell asleep.
"Wake up, sleephead!" Paulina said. I opened my eyes, sat up, and looked around. The sun was high in the sky. "What time is it?" I grumbled. "Time for us to start training!" Kagome smiled. "Training?" I asked nervously. "For our journey!" Jeri said. "Jeri? When did you get here? Wait a minute! OUR journey?" "Yeah, silly! You didn't think that we would have just let you stay the night, then make you go out by yourself to fight those demons, did you?" "Actually, I had no idea what you'd do," I said. "Well now you know! By the way, I'm Ringo, Jeri's sister." a girl with green hair said. "Nice to meet you! I Sakura!" "Well, what do you say?" A girl with purple hair said from the doorway. "I say let's train! I don't wanna get hurt on my way to find Kabotoris." "That's the spirit! OK! Let's Go!!!" Ringo said as we left Kagome and Paulina's house, and stepped into the clearing.
"All right! Let's take a break! I exausted!" a girl with red hair and cat ears said. "Yeah, you and me both," a girl that looked exactly like the other girl said to her. We had been training for over six hours now. I was the most tired of the group. "Ok, we'll take a break," I gasped, "And while we're at it, I think introductions are in order, don't you, Jeri?" "Yes, I do think that would be best. Girls, front and center!" All the girls lined up from shortest to tallest. "All right, as we go down the row, I want you to step out, state your name to Sakura in a polite manner and then, you make take a break after you are done," Ringo said, "We'll start from the left and go down the row untill we get to the last person, understood?" "Understood!" they all said. "Ready? Go." A girl with blackish blueish hair stepped up to me. "Hi. I'm Hanna. Pleased to meet you Sakura!" she said, then she went over to a tree house with lots of ribbons and flowers hanging around. The next girl had long whiteish blue braids and wore a sailor girl outfit. "Hello! My name is Yolei! I'm very happy to meet you!" she said. Then, she, too, went over to a tree house, this one with Kagome floating around it. The next girl was the one I had seen earlier at Kagome and Paulina's house, the one with purple hair. "Hi, my name's Lilac. It is an honor to be in your presence, Lady Sakura," she said. "The pleasure is all mine, my friend," I said to her. Then she went to her house, which was surround by lavender and lilac flowers.
The other girls weren't like Lilac. They just came up to me, said their name, said something polite, then went to their houses. After all of them had introduced themselves, I went to see Lilac. I knocked on her door as gently as I could while trying not to ruin the flowers that were on the door. "Yes?" Lilac said once she opened the door. "Hi," I said. "Would you like to come in?" Lilac asked. She seemed kind of timid as she said it, like a forest creature. "Yes, thank you. Lilac, I was wondering, do you know any angels?" I asked her. I knew it was kind of sudden, but I had to know. "Why, yes, actually. I know one angel, and it isn't you, Lady Sakura. It's Lady Purity. Do you know her?" I was shocked. I never knew mere people could see angels in their regular form. I did know that you had to be very special and magical to see them. "Yes, I do. She's one of my best friends. She and I go way back." I knew that she probably had magical powers, because you have to have magic powers to see Angels. "Do you know when she'll be coming again?" I asked. I had to see Purity again. She could see into the future. Maybe if Purity comes today, she can tell me if Kabotoris was the one that put this curse on me and how to get rid of it, I thought. "Well, Lady Sakura, you're in luck! Lady Purity cames in an hour." Lilac said to me. "Wha? How the? What the? Did you just read my mind?" I stammered. "Yes," Lilac said quietly. "No wonder you can see Purity! Only people with magic powers can see angels in their true form! You and me, Lilac, just might be the key to success!" "Well, thank you, Lady Sakura," Lilac said in a hushed voice. "Oh! One more thing," I said to her. "Anything, Lady Sakura!" "Call me Sakura! We're friends now, so you can stop calling me Lady Sakura, and call me by what everyone else calls me! From now on, I never want to leave your side, Lilac!" Lilac smiled. "Oh, thank you, Sakura, thank you! I promise, as your friend, I'll never let you down!" "That's the spirit! Now come on! Let's start preparing for Purity's visit!
"Sakura? Is that you? It is!!! Sakura! I've missed you so much!" Purity cried as she ran to hug me. "I've missed you too, Purity! How are the others?" "Oh they're all right! They asked me to tell you hi if I saw you! Why are you here in the woods?" I explained the entire story about me meeting up with Jeri in the woods and and how we were preparing an army. "Well, Sakura, I could get Ichigo and Faith and we could come help you and Lilac fight off evil!" Purity said with a friendly smile. "That would be great, but you guys would have to take on a whole new form, otherwise Jeri, Ringo, and the others wouldn't be able to see you," I said. "Yeah, Purity, I mean, I'm the only one that can see you besides Sakura and Vanilla," Lilac said, "and I don't think they'd believe us if we said that you guys were joining our army if they couldn't see you." "Good point. I'll have to pick a whole new form, but it could take a while. Once I get one, I'll come to you guys wherever you may be, and I'll bring Ichigo and Faith!" "That would be wonderful, Purity! But first, may I ask you a question?" I said. "Anything for you, Sakura!" "Have you figured out how to get rid of the curse?" I asked. "I thought you'd never ask! Truth is, I just figured that out on my way here!" "Really? What is it?" I asked, my heart pounding. " The secret to get rid of the curse is what I told you before. True love," Purity replied. "Oh! Wow, I didn't think it'd be that simple," Lilac said quietly. "Oh my, look at the time! I've got to head back to my house! I'm going to be late for dinner! Bye, Sakura, Bye, Lilac, I'll see you when I have a whole new form!" Purity said as she flew away. "Bye! Say hi to Faith and Ichigo for me! Bye, Purity! See you later!" I cried as I slowly walked with Lilac back to her house. "Do you want to bunk with me tonight, Sakura? I may not have much room, but I can make room. Besides, I have an extra bed that you can sleep in. It was my sister's, before she moved to the city," "Thanks, Lilac! That would be great. By the way, what time is it?" "Seven thirty. Time for all of us to head to dinner. Want to come freshen up?" "No thank you, Lilac. I'll just head to dinner. I'll save you a seat," I said. "Thanks, Sakura. See you at dinner!" "Yeah, see you at dinner!" I said as I headed for the clearing.
As I was walking, I saw something. Not just anything, a boy. What's a boy doing here? I thought. He looked as if he was trying to catch something."Hey!" I said. The boy didn't stop. "HEY!" I said loudly, startling him. "What are you doing here?" I asked. "I'm sorry," he said, "My dog ran off, chasing some cat and started to play with it. I was just trying to pull him off it." I saw the dog. It was a gray dog, but it had wings. It looked like a miniature grey wolf with wings. It was licking Vanilla. "Vanilla! What the? I thought you were at Lilac's house! Why on earth are you here?" Vanilla meowed at me. "Oh, so it's your cat?" the boy asked. "Yes, she is. I thought that she was at my friend's house right now," I said, picking Vanilla up. "I am so sorry about my dog. He is still just a puppy. He didn't know any better," the boy said. "It's okay. I understand. By the way, who are you?" I said. "My name's Koji. What's your's?" "My name is Sakura," I said. The boy turned pale. "What? What's wrong, Koji?" "I'm sorry, but I must go!" Koji said as he jumped into the air, and dissapeared. "Wait! Why are leaving? Koji! Wait!" I cried to him, but it was too late. He had already left. "Koji..." I whispered into the darkness. I looked at a light I saw coming form the clearing. I heard somebody calling my name. It was Lilac. She was looking for me. "Oh my gosh! It's time for dinner! I'd better hurry!" I said as ran through the trees and into the clearing.
After dinner, I helped the other girls and nymphs do the evening chores. Lilac and I were helping get the little ones to bed by tucking them in and reading them bedtime stories. Almost all of the little ones I read to wanted to hear about angels and how cool they were. I told them all about the four elder angels that created all things living and the head angel, Moonbeam. Moonbeam was my cousin. I told the little girls that someday, I might become head angel. I aslo told them about all of the demons and fallen angels that were trying to take over while I was an angel. I told them about demon Sarah, and fallen angel Pucca. But the one demon that frightened them the most was Kabotoris, the demon king. Some say that Kabotiris has many powers. Others say that he can take over people's bodies. But to the angels, all are just rumors. I told one little half cat girl named Katie about the last time Kabotoris came to the world of angels. I told them about the destruction that he caused. I told about the terrible things that may happen if Kabotoris comes back. I also told them about the fact that Kabotoris has an older brother, one that is not evil. But, soon, it was time for all of the creatures of the forest to go to bed.
After tucking in each little woodland creature, Lilac and I headed for bed ourselves. "Hey, Lilac?" I said as we came through the doorway to Lilac's house. "Yes," Lilac replied. "Earlier today, right before dinner, I saw a boy in the woods. Not just any boy, though. This boy had a demon dog for a pet, but he was a nice person. His name is Koji. Do you think that he is Kabotoris' brother?" "Maybe. Did you tell him you name?" "Yes." "What did he do when you did?" " Well, when I told him my name, he turned pale, and then he ran away." "Yeah, he probably either was Kabotoris' brother, or Kabotoris himself. Either way, you've got to be a little more careful. I don't want anything to happen to you." Lilac said as she set up the other bed. "Well, Sakura, I'm beat. Here's your bed. I also have an old cat bed that used to belong to my sister's cat. Vanilla can sleep in it. Well, good night, Sakura." Lilac left the room and closed the door behind her. "Vanilla, do you remember that boy that was in the woods earlier?" I asked. "Meow," Vanilla yawned. "You're right. I should just forget about it and go to sleep," I said as I slowly fell asleep.
"Sakura! Sakura! Wake Up!!!!!!!!!!" Lilac said. I sat up and looked around. "Yes?" I asked. "There's someone here to see you!" Lilac said with a big grin. "Who?" I asked as I woke up completely. "Some boy. Says he met you in the woods," Lilac whispered. I jumped out of bed and ran to the door. Koji was standing there. "Koji?" I said to him, "Is that you?" "Yes," he said. "Why'd you run away last night?" I asked, avoiding his gaze. "Because, if my sister knew I was here, she would kill all of us," Koji said. "Oh, who is you sister?" I asked, looking at him. "I can't say, for if I do, you could be in grave danger. All of you," he said. I heard thunder. "Do you guys hear something?" Lilac asked. "Yeah, it sounded like thunder," I said. "Uh oh!" Koji said, as he headed for the door. "What?" I asked him before he could leave. "It's my sister! She knows where I am, which is bad for you! If I don't leave, you could be killed!" he said. Then he ran out the door, grabbed his dog, and dissappeared. "Koji? Wait! KOJI!!!!" I screamed, but again, it was too late. "He he he!!!!!" said a voice. "What the? W-Who are you?" I said. "He thought he could get away with running, thinking that I, Kabotoris, would be fooled into thinking that you were with him? HA! He may be older, but he is not smarter! TAKE THIS, SAKURA!!! HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!" A bolt of black lightning fired from the sky and hit me. "SAKURA!!!!" Lilac cried and ran to my side. The bolt was so powerful, it knocked me into the wall, and I blacked out.
"Sakura? Are you OK?" Lilac said as I slowly regained conciousness. "Lilac? Is that you?" I asked. "Oh, Sakura! I was so worried! When that black bolt hit you, I thought you were a goner!" I thought for a moment. "Wait a minute! Black bolt? Hey, Lilac, did you hear a voice, before the black bolt hit me?" I asked. "No, I didn't," Lilac replied. "Oh, well, ok then." I said. There was a knock at the door. "Come in," Lilac said. It was Lisa, one of the woodland nymphs. "It's time for training," Lisa said. "Ok. We'll be there in a minute," I said. "OK. I'll tell Jeri," Lisa said before she left. Once she was out of earshot, Lilac said, "Sakura, are you sure that you want to train today? I mean, aren't you still in pain from when the bolt hit you?" Lilac said as she got up to make some warm tea. She was right. I still felt the bolt's electric charge flowing through my body, but my mind was set. "Yes, but I still want to train. Kabotoris was the one that shot that bolt. I just know it," I said. "Okay, then. I guess I can't tell you what to do. Let's have some tea before we train. It'll calm us down and help us concentrate," Lilac said as she sat down and handed me a glass of tea. "OK! Let's hurry! I don't want to miss anything! Last night, I got hit because I wasn't prepared. That's never going to happen again! From now on, we all have to be prepared!" I said. Then, Lilac and I quickly drank our tea and headed towards the clearing.
"Alright, guys! Great job today! Let's have some lunch, and then after that, let's get ready to leave!" We had just finished training, and were about to head out on our journey. "I'm beat!" I said as I walked with the others to get lunch. "I know what you mean. Hey, after this, why don't you and I pack up and lead the journey?"Lilac said. "Sure!" I said. Lilac sure is excited today, I thought. "Sakura! Sakura!" someone cried. "Huh?" I wondered. Rika, one of the woodland nymphs, was running towards me and Lilac. "Rika? What is it?" Lilac asked. "There's......there's......" Rika stammered. "What?" I asked, concerend. What if it's Koji? What happened? I have to find out. "There's a group of demons headed this way!!!" Rika said, then she ran away as fast as she could. "Demons!" I said. I looked in the direction that Rika came from. There were at least a dozen demons coming right at us. "What do we do?" asked some of the little woodland creatures. They were all frightened. I looked at all the demons. Since I had fought demons before, I knew what level these demons were. I had never fought them before. I had fought every high ranked demon except for Kabotoris. These demons must be at the rookie level, I thought. "They don't look as strong as the others," I said. "What others?" Jeri asked. "The ones that I have fought before," I replied. I quickly ran to Lilac's house and grabbed my sword. As I came back to the clearing, I relized that the demons were closer than before. When I got back, I told the others to prepare for battle. "What are you saying? Are we going to fight these guys? We haven't trained enough!" They said, but Lilac stood beside me and said, "Sakura is right. We have to fight them, ready or not. We can all use our greatest strength, teamwork." Then, we all turned towards the demons, and began to fight.
The demons were tougher than I thought. We fought for about an hour, and they still didn't give up. Even though my new friends fought bravely, it wasn't enough. Maybe these guys aren't at the rookie level, I thought. "Sakura!" someone cried. It was Yolei. One of the demons had grabbed her and was holding back, and it looked like he was about to throw her into the river. "Oh no! Yolei!" I said, "Don't Worry! I'm coming!" I ran as fast as I could. Just when the demon was about to throw her, I came and slashed at it with my sword. It sizzled out and dissappeared. Huh? What the? Did I do that?, I wondered. Once the other demons saw what I did, the ran off. Then, I suddenly remembered. "Yolei! Are you okay?" I asked, helping her stand up. "Yeah. I'm just a little shaken, that's all," she said, "Thanks, Sakura." "Anytime, my friend," I replied. "Well," Jeri said, "it looks like we've got to be more careful. Anyways, we've all got to pack up and head out!" "Yeah," said Ringo, "before the demons come back with reinforcments." Lilac turned to me, smiling, and said, "Come on, Sakura. I know you want to get away from these demons ASAP." "Yep," I replied, "but you know what I really want right now?" "What, Sakura?" Lilac asked. "My sister," I said, crying, "Hakura always used to help me and fight by my side. Ever since our mother died, she's always looked out for me. Whether we were fighting demons, or something else, she was always there for me whenever I needed her. I need Hakura so much right now, but I may never see her again. Ever." "Oh, Sakura!" Lilac said, "It's okay. I promise, no matter what it takes, I'll always help you, just like Hakura did." "Really?" I asked, still crying. "Really." "Thanks, Lilac. that made me feel much better. Come on, let's get ready to go!" Then, Lilac and I headed over to her house, packed up our stuff, and left with the others. Our journey had begun.
"Are we there yet?" Ringo asked. We had been walking for three days now. All of us were tired. "Almost," Lilac replied, "Just one mile untill we reach the city. Then, we could stay with my sister for a while." "Why does your sister live in the city?" Jeri asked her, a concerned look on her face. "I.....Well, um.........I-I-I d-don't think I should say why. N-Not untill we get there," Lilac stammered, blushing. I was also wondering why her sister lived in Tokyo. Ever since I arrived on Earth, I have lived in Tokyo. For three years, I have lived alone with Vanilla, and I have never spotted anyone that looked the way Lilac had discribed her the night before. Black hair, blue eyes, always carries around a black cat. No one in Tokyo looks like that that I have seen, I thought. Lilac turned to me and looked me in the eye with a solem look. I looked up and saw her face, but then she quickley snapped her head back to facing the front. "We're almost there," I said. I saw some buildings in the distance. We had arrived in Tokyo.
"Alright, we're here now. Where do we go?" asked Mimi. Have they ever been to the city before? I have lived here for three years, and they haven't asked me where to go? I thought.Wierd, I thought I told them that I have lived with Vanilla in Tokyo since I was nine years old. Oh well. I guess Lilac and I will have to lead them to my apartment for the night. "Alright, girls! Follow me," I said. "But, where are we going?" asked Hallie. "To my apartment. Vanilla and I have lived in Tokyo for three years. I know all the shops, hotels, and cafes here. Just follow me, and we'll be there in no time! After we eat and rest for a bit, we'll go to Lilac's sister's house. Agreed?" "Agreed," They all answered. We walked down two blocks, made a left, walked up one more block, and arrived at my appartment complex. "Well, here we are! It's not much, but it's home, sorta," I said. "Wow," Lilac exclaimed, with sparkling eyes, "I love it! All the flowers, the beautiful colors!" "Just wait untill we get inside!" I said to her. I unlocked the door, and we all walked inside. Suddenly, I heard a rustling sound coming from the bedroom. "Hmm?" I said. "What is it, Sakura?" Hanna asked, frightened. "I'll be right back. Vanilla, you stay here," I said. "Meow," Vanilla replied. I held my sword tightly at my side, and walked into the next room. I opened the door slightly. I looked inside, and saw three people in there. When I took a closer look, I recognized the people imeaditly.
"Lilac! Everyone! Come here quick! There are some people I would like you to meet!" They came as fast as they could. Once they got there, they all were confussed. "Guys, these are three of my Angel friends, Purity, Ichigo, and Faith," I said, "Girls, these are the people I met in the woods a week ago." They all looked at each other. Hmm, why aren't Ichigo, Purity, and Faith socializing? Did I do something wrong? I thought. "Sakura, most of the other girls haven't gotten their powers yet, so they can't see them like you and I can," Lilac whispered to me, "They can't see them." Oh, that's right! You need magical powers to see an angel in their true form! "Psst! Purity, Ichigo, Faith! Come here!" I whispered. They came and looked at me. "Change into a different form. You now, like human form, so they can see you!" "OK!" They said. Then, the three angels gathered in a circle. A bright light filled the room. Then, when the light dissappeared, stood Purity, Ichigo, and Faith in human form.
"Wow!!!" Everyone stared in awe at Purity, Ichigo, and Faith. They, in their human form, still looked as pure as they did as angels. "Wow, look at you guys! You look as if you're still angels, but without the wings or halo!" I said as they joined me in a group hug. "I can't believe it!" cried Ichigo. "Me neither!" said Faith. "Nor can I!" said Purity. "Well, c'mon guys! Let's go look for my sister," said Lilac. Man, this is going to be hard. We're looking for one girl in this huge city! The odds are against us, I thought, but I held my head high and lead the way out of my apartment and out into the city. "Okay, Lilac, which way should we try looking for her first?" I asked. "Well," Lilac replied, "we should probably head down Main Street, since it looks like a good start!" So, we headed down the sidewalk and looked all over for Lilac's sister. Suddenly, we heard barking, which sorta freaked Vanilla out. "Down, Rex! Heel, boy, heel! C'mon, stop already!" someone yelled. "I'd know that dog anywhere!" I said, then I yelled, "HEY! CADY! OVER HERE!" Then, the dog stopped in front of me and Cady ran up to him. "Hiya, Sakura!" Cady said, "Nice to see you again! Who are your new friends?" "Girls, this is Cady, an old friend of mine when I first came here," I said, "Cady, these are some friends I met while traveling. We're trying to find Lilac's sister, but we've looked everywhere and can't find her. Could you and Rex help us out?" "Of course I would!" Cady replied. So, with Cady and Rex's help, we set off in the city to find Lilac's sister.
"Which way should we go now?" asked Hanna. We had gone around the whole city, and still hadn't found Lilac's sister. We all walked to the outskirts of the city, and sat in the shade of the oak trees. We all were about to lose hope, when Cady and I thought up an idea. "Wait a second," I said, "Lilac, aren't you and your sister twins?" She looked a little puzzled when I asked, but answered, "Well, yes, but how is that going to help us now?" Cady and I looked at each other, then at Lilac, then at Rex. "I get your drift, Sakura," Cady said. Then, she grabbed Rex's collar, and dragged him up to Lilac. "W-What are you d-doing?" Lilac stammered. "Well, if you sister is your twin, then Rex should be able to find her, by scent," Cady replied, "You see, if he sniffs you, he could sniff for a fimilliar scent in the air..." "...And find your sister," I finished. Lilac looked at me in shock. "Wow, really? Can you do that?" Lilac asked. "Of course? Besides, what do we have to lose?" I said. But then, I heard a voice. A voice that could only be one person: Kabotoris. "Sakura.............." "Huh?" I said. "SAKURA..........Sakura......come......to...........me.... ..Come, or you will never see your sister Hakura ever again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" "Wha? What on Earth..........Is happening?" I wondered aloud. "Sakura, you okay?" Lilac asked me. She looked concerned. "Wha? Oh, it's nothing! C'mon, let's go find your sister!" I said. Then, we all followed Rex, as he began running back towards the city.
Rex started to slow down when we came close to a small apartment. "Huh? Why are we stoping?" asked Yolei. "Yeah, weren't we supposed to be lookin for Lilac's sister?" asked Sora. "Wait a second!" exclaimed Cady, "I think this is where Lilac's sister lives." We all walked up to the door. Lilac walked up in front of the rest of us and said, "Move back some. I will be able to tell if this is my sister if she and I have some room to breath." We steped back some, then Lilac rang the doorbell. Soon, we heard a voice, and the door opened. "Yes?" asked the girl that had opened the door. "Tsuki?" Lilac asked her. "Lilac?" the girl asked back in shock. Lilac gasped, then threw her arms around Tsuki. They both hugged each other for a while, then Tsuki said, "Lilac, why don't you and your friends come inside?" We came inside, and sat down. Tsuki walked up, took a seat, and looked at us. "So, what news have you brought? I've heard something about black creatures being spotted around downtown, but that's just about all I've heard. " Lilac stood up, and then nodded to me motioning for me to stand up. "Tsuki, this is Sakura," Lilac said, "She is an angel, under a curse of the demon king, Kabotoris. She has been sent to Earth, and we are all looking for a way to break the curse, but so far have found nothing whats so ever. We came here to ask for you to help us. So, will you help us, sis?" Tsuki thought for a moment. "Well, I can't let my sister Lilac down, so yes! I'll help you!" Everyone, especially Lilac, cheered! I was so happy that Tsuki was going to help! But then, I heard him speak to me again.
"Sakura.......................Sakura...................... ...SAKURA.........................I am getting restless.................If you do not come soon, not only will I kill your sister, but I will also desroy you and your new friends..............Hurry, before it's too late!!!!!!!! MUAH HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I was scared out of my wits. I walked over to the back door and walked outside to where there was a little pond. I bent down and looked at my reflection. "What's happening to me?" I asked myself. My reflection looked as if it were hollow. Then, I saw something weird. I saw a hand reaching out toward me from the water. It rose from the water, and grabbed me by the neck. I screamed as loud as I could, but the hand had me, and pulled me under.
I tried my hardest to get away from it, but nothing I did helped. I opened my eyes. It was then, that I saw my old friend: Suki. "Suki?" I asked. Even though I had been turned human, I was still able to breathe underwater, like angels do. "Sakura......" said Suki. Her eyes looked empty, and her voice sounded hollow. Oh no, I thought,Suki has been taken over by one of Kabotoris' demons! What am I supposed to do?! Then, I heard a muffled splash. Lilac had jumped in the pond, and was swimming down towards me. Then, something grabbed her! It was another one of my friend: Usaka. She was being controlled by demons, too! "Let her go, demon!" I yelled to Usaka. Usaka took one look at me, let Lilac go, and grabbed me by the arm. Suki held onto my other arm. Then, two more demons showed up and grabbed me. They were both controlling two more of my old friends: Dani and Jane. They grabbed me and pulled me into a small underwater cave. They rose up and broke the surface. The cave was above the water, but outside the city. Inside the cave, I could see Hakura, chained to the wall. "Hakura!" I cried to her, but then, I saw him. Kabotoris. For some reason, he looked like a girl. "Huh?" I said. So the rumors are true! He can control other people! He took control of that little girl, Giselle, that lives down the road! I thought. "Yes, Sakura, it's true. I can control others. And now, I can dispose of you and your sister at the same time, so I'll have nothing to worry about! MUAH HA HA HA!"
I stared at him, then at Hakura, then back at him. What a cruel evil monster! I can't believe I have been worried about meeting up with him! He's nothing but a worthless coward! He's too afraid to fight me, so he used his demons to capture Hakura and me so he could be a cowardly fool! I thought, rage building up inside me. "COWARD!" I cried at him. I knew I was going to get it, but I didn't care. "You are nothing but a worthless, crybaby, COWARD!" I kept screaming and insulting him, untill he finally snapped. He flew up to me, slapped me, and then he had his demons chain me to the wall. They chained me so tight, that I couldn't move. I was scared out of my wits now. I was trapped. He had me. "I-I'm sorry I couldn't be of any more help, Hakura," I said shakingly. "It's okay, Sakura," she replied, "I know you did the best you could do at the moment. I'm not ashamed of any of it. Everything you said to him is true. I will never forget it!" I felt tears running down my cheek. "Thanks, Hakura. You have no idea what ths means to me!" Then, I heard splashing, and turned my head to see all of my new friends, including Purity, Ichigo, and Faith, pop out of the water. "Let Sakura go, Kabotoris!" Lilac cried. Lilac? Tsuki? Everyone? They came here......to help me?They really are true friends. I thought, another tear slowly falling down my face. "Fools! You think you can beat me, Kabotoris? Well, I'll show you! Take this!" Kabotoris shot a beam of darkness at Lilac. "Oh no! LILAC!" I cried. But then, something happened. Tsuki had jumped in front of Lilac to avoide her getting hit. "Tsuki? Tsuki! Are you okay?" Lilac asked her frantically as she caught Tsuki before she fell to the floor. "I-I'll be okay. Lilac, you have to help Sakura. The world's fate depends on the two of you..." Tsuki replied. Then, she took one slow, hesitating breath, and fell lifelessly into Lilac's arms. "Tsuki? TSUKI!!!!!!!!!!" Lilac's cry echoed throughout the cave. But there was no bringing her back. Tsuki was dead.
"See what will happen if you mess with me? HA! I will do this to all of you if you're still wanting to fight!" Kabotoris laughed evilly. He didn't care who was killed in this battle, only if he won. I stared at Lilac, who was crying over her sister's dead body. She's my best friend....Lilac shouldn't have to suffer like this! I thought. My mind was made up. I was ready to fight. "You monster!" I screamed at Kabotoris, "How could you do such a thing and feel no guilt! Because of what you've done, my best friend is suffering! I'll make you pay for this, Kabotoris! Mark my words!" I tried to break free of the chains that held me. Somehow, the chains suddenly broke, and I was free. I stood up, and looked at Lilac. She was hugging her dead sister, sobbing. "Kabotoris..." I said, "...You have made me suffer for far too long.......Now, you can get a taste of defeat!" I yelled as loud as I could, and charged at him, holding my sword up high, head on.
I swung my sword at the demon, untill someone cried, "STOP!" I stopped, and looked at the person. It was Koji. "Sakura, don't kill him. At least, not untill he frees my sister." I looked at Koji, astonished. This girl that Kabotoris is controling, is Koji's sister? Hard to believe, but for some reason, I feel I can trust Koji......It's as if I know him from childhood... I dropped my sword at stared into Koji's eyes.Koji, why is Kabotoris controling your sister? I thought.Because he thought that it would lead you here faster if I were here to save Giselle. I gasped. "Did you just...?" I asked him, so astonished that I couldn't finish my question. 'Yes, Sakura, I did." Koji answered back, a soft smile on his face. I walked closer to him. He did the same. He took me in his arms. "Koji..." I said. I felt so strange. What is this feeling? I've never felt so.....so.........in love...before... I looked deep into his eyes. They were blueish-green. "Sakura..." he said. I leaned closer to his face, and before I new it, my eyes were closed, and I was kissing him. My head was spinning as his lips pressed down gently but firmly against my own. I felt like he and I were the only ones there. That only we existed. Like we had become one. Koji, you do care about me, don't you? I thought. More now than ever.....My love. he thought back. I opened my eyes, and stared into his eyes once again. "Koji, I-" I started to say, but before I could finish, I heard a scream, and I knew something bad was coming.
"Help!" cried Giselle. I looked in her direction, and saw a horrible, ugly, black demon coming out of her. I knew it was Kabotoris. He's letting her go free? Koji thought. Of course! It as to be what Purity said! Only true love can beat Kabotoris! I thought back. Koji looked at me, and I at him. "True........love?" he repeated. I stared into his eyes. "True love," I replied. His eyes sparkled and he smiled softly to me. "HELP! KOJI, HELP ME!" We turned to see Kabotoris grab Giselle, and fly deeper into the cave. "Giselle!" Koji and I cried. "Koji, you go chase after them! I've got to get the others all ready before I can catch up! GO!" Koji turned to leave, then walked back to me and kissed me again. "Promise me you'll be alright," he said. I could feel he hand holding mine tightly, as if he didn't want to let go. "I promise....My love" I said. Then, he turned and ran to follow Kabotoris and Giselle.
I ran up to Hakura and tugged on the chains untill they broke as mine had. Then, she and I ran up to Lilac and the others. "Alright, guys. We need some of you to stay here and wait in case Kabotoris comes back here. The rest of you, I need to follow me. Now let's go!" Half of the girls got up, and walked over to the end of the cave to wait for me. "Lilac," I said. She looked up at me. "I know it's hard to deal with the death of a family member, but would you be willing to come with me to fight? We need you, Lilac." Lilac looked at me again, then at Tsuki, then back at me. "Alright, Sakura. I'll come, but what about Tsuki's body?" I looked at Tsuki. I took Lilac's hand and said, "Don't worry. I'll take care of that, but I'll need the help of you and your magic." Lilac stared at me, confused. "Magic?" she asked. I took her over to Tsuki's body again. "Put your hand on Tsuki's heart," I said. Lilac did it, and then I started chanting. "Whai ya man haemi que sukat opai uto iyo rei" I said. I saw beautiful colors in the magic that was coming from Lilac's hand. "Oh God Almighty, please take Tsuki to the heavens above! Please let her live the rest of her life as a beautiful angel and let her always remember her wonderful sister, Lilac, who of which has become such a good friend to me!" The air above us turned pink as Tsuki's body was slowly being lifted into the air by the angels overhead. "Don't worry, Lilac," one of them said, "We'll take good care of your sister." Then, they all floated up and dissappeared. Lilac was speechless, as far as I could tell. "Wha-? How did she know my name, Sakura?" she asked. I looked at her and said, "She's your guardian angel, of course! Her name is Lavender." Lilac looked at Lanvender in amazement and wonder. Wow.......I have a guardian angel........I wish that she could tell me how I can fight Kabotoris.... Lilac thought. Maybe, she won't have to... I thought back. Lilac looked at me. "How did you..?" she asked, stopping before she could finish, speechless. "I'm an angel, remember!" I said to her. Then, the two of us and our group turned, and ran deeper into the cave.
"HELP!" Giselle cried as my friends and I ran to help her. "Don't worry!" I cried to her. "We're coming, Giselle!" Lilac called. I heard Kabotoris chackling. I've got to stop him! He'll destroy us all if I don't! We ran as fast as we could into the cave. "You let her go you evil monster!" I heard Koji cry. "We're getting closer!" I said to the others. We had reached the end of the cave. Kabotoris laughed evilly as he held Giselle. "HELP!" she cried. I stopped and looked at the sight. I've got one shot, so I've got to make it perfect! I thought. "Hey! Ugly!" I cried, "Over Here! Remember me? I'm the one that called you a COWARD! A spinless, pea-brained, COWARD!" Kabotoris shook with anger. He dropped Giselle and prepared to shoot me with a black bolt of lightning. I threw my sword at him as hard as I could. Kabotoris cried out in pain, my sword stuck in his chest. "Yes," I said, satisfied that I had made a perfect shot. Kabotoris pulled my sword out of his body, and threw it back at me. "Sakura! Look out!" Lilac cried. I couldn't move at all. I was rooted to the spot. Suddenly, just as my sword was about to hit me, I was sweeped off my feet and out of its path. "Oof," I said, rubbing the back of my head. "You okay, Sakura?" Koji asked. He had saved my life. "Yes, Koji. Thank you for saving me," I replied as he helped me up, "But, Koji, why did you do it? You could've gotten hurt." Koji stared into my eyes and said, "Because I love you, Sakura, and I always will." I gasped a little, then said, "I love you, too, Koji. Forever and always." Then, I turned and picked up my sword. "What do you say after this battle we go to dinner together?" Koji asked me. "You know my answer. Absolutely!" Then, I turned and began swinging my sword at Kabotoris with all my might. We have to win this battle! We just have to!
"Come and get some, demons!" Lilac cried, her fingers twitching. One of the demons, the one that had taken control of my old friend, Dani, growled and charged at her. Lilac lifted her hand, a glowing purple ball forming in it. The demon has about a meter away, when Lilac tossed the ball at it, making the demon leave Dani's body. Dani fell limply on the hard floor of the cave. "Do you think you can beat me? Kabotoris? Greatest demon in the world?" Kabotoris growled, his beady eyes narrowing into small slits. "Greatest? More like ugliest!" I said, slicing away at him. Suddenly, I felt something and stopped. "Sakura, what is it?" Lilac called, but, I could tell she could feel it, too, and she stopped. We all stopped. "What is that?" Giselle cried, pointing up at the ceiling. I looked up and saw.....Heaven. Wait...How is that possible? We saw many of my old angel friends flying towards us. They flew to all of my new friends and healed their wounds and gave them some of their magic. Then, they all flew up to me, and gave me some of their magic as well. I felt the energy of their powers flowing through me. Then, I saw a certain angel flying towards me. She was the most beautiful of all of the others. I knew it could be only one person. "M-Mother?" I asked, taking a step towards her. "Sakura, dearest, you may not be able to beat Kabotoris today, but in time you will defeat him," she replied. I gasped and said, "But how am I even going to be able to fight him now?" "You can change back to your normal form now at any time. Good luck, my dear Saku-chan, and remember, I'll always be watching over you..."
With that, my dearest mother flew back up through the portal, along with the other angels, and dissappeared. 'You may not be able to beat Kabotoris today, but in time you will defeat him..' What did she mean? Did it mean that Kabotoris will escape!? Wait! She also said that I can change back to my normal form at any time now! Alright, then, let's rock! I placed my hands on my heart and felt myself being lifted into the air by magic. The wind picked up and a soft, pink glow surounded me. "No! That's impossible! I took away your powers!" Kabotoris shielded his eyes from the light as I felt myself being lifted into the air. I felt my wings appear on me. My hair grew longer and darker. My outfit changed to a white dress with spaghetti straps. My skin grew slightly darker. The light faded and showed me to the others. I had become an angel again.
"Whoa..." Koji whispered. I guessed he probablly thought I was drop-dead gorgeous. I wondered if the others thought so, too. Kabotoris growled. "I failed to kill you before, so now I will make up for that mistake!" He charged towards me. I held up my hand, a baby pink ball of mist forming in it, and threw it at Kabotoris. He screamed in pain. The mist fainted away after a while, but Kabotoris was still there. "You wench!" He cried, "I cannot kill you now, due to you stupid powers, but I will get you later! So long, Sakura!" With that, Kabotoris jumped into the air, changed into a black mist, and dissappeared. "Come back, you coward!" Lilac yelled, running forward. I stopped her. "Huh?" she said, "Saku, don't you want to get him?" I shook my head and replied, "We'll get him some other time. For now, let's tend to the others that got wounded, and get out of here." Lilac nodded and ran over to Hakura to help Dani and the others. Suddenly, I felt a strange feeling in my chest, and fizziness engulfed my body. I changed back to human form, and fell to my knees. "Sakura!" Koji exclaimed, running to my aid. I groaned as he helped my back up and said, "I guess I used more power than I thought," I said, smiling softly at Koji. He returned the smile, and kissed my tenderly. The rest of our group seemed to dissappear as we stood there, his arms on my waist, mine around his neck; our lips were still pressing against each other, and I felt the magic of my Mother, Purity, Faith, Ichigo, and Tsuki within me as the time stood still for the both of us. I wasn't complete with my mission, but at least I was happy, and right then, that's all that mattered.
The End
