~~ Scott ~~
Scott grinned. He had forced their hand. He was now the unquestioned leader of the vampire clan. They would follow him to the ends of the realm in necessary. His crimson, ruby eyes searched over the hoard of vampires that now surrounded him. Scott had given out a loud shriek that pierced the night air and made the humans shudder in their sleep. Wolves howled along with him as the other joined him striking fear into the hearts of all others. Soon members of their own kind began to flock to him like a moth to a flame. They were drawn in by his superiority as the new Vampire Lord. There were nearly a hundred of them as silent as the moon, watching as their Master bore his fangs at all who ventured to challenge him for his power. He defeated every one of them who dared.
The other stockers from Peotone Country Market were all considered vampires of Noble status for being in the same clan as the Vampire Lord. Dillon was Scott's right hand man, followed by Collin, Andrew, then Tyler. Collin had immediately backed down when Scott had his hands around the other's throat, preparing to crush him. The others refused to challenge his authority afterwards. They knew he was not himself. The vampire blood had rushed throughout his body, engulfing his mind in a haze of bloodlust and fury. No one could stop him.
Soon, a vampire from the crowd stepped foreword, bowed deeply before his master, then informed Scott of what was yet to come.
“My Lord, the Chimera are planning an attack on our Hyuga Clan in the sands of the Ikachki Desert. We must stop them before it's too late and they make their way to the city. Their strength is great, but their numbers are few. We can and will overcome them.”
“Yes, we shall ambush them on their way to the Hyuga village. There will be no mercy.” The vampires grinned, bloodlust evident in their hungry red eyes. Scott sneered then grinned, allowing his white fangs to gleam in the pale moonlight around them. The hoard of vampires around him laughed and screeched in anticipation for a bloody battle. Their Lord then turned to them. “We shall leave now and be there before dawn.”
The journey to the Ikachki desert was short and easy for the vampires. To any human it would've been long and grueling, but their superior talents for speed and endurance made things all the better. In the Hyuga Village the Hyuga vampires had already prepared themselves against an invasion against the Chimera. Their village was heavily armed; although vampires had little use for weapons preferring to rip out their enemy's inside with their bare claws. Scott looked around, satisfied that they were ready. It wasn't long before the Chimera arrived and the battle began.
He searched all around for the Chimera leader. Take out the leader, then the entire Chimerian army will fall to their knees in defeat. The Night Manager knew there was one who could only be their goddess. The woman in silver armor fending off three of his vampires at once had to be her. She seemed to have everything under control when Scott ran towards her, with no other intention but to destroy. Many Chimera blocked his path, but there was no stopping him. Before long, they were engaged in had to hand combat.
