Disclaimer: Characters and story belong to the author, and if you try to steal them, the copyright infringment cats will come after you. I only edit and post. (I'M SINGING IN THE RAIN! JUST SINGING IN THE RAIN!) No money is being made from this story... Pretty soon I'll have to stop secretly buying granola bars. And then I can hardly eat them every craving I get (which is about every half hour) without getting yelled at for being a hog. Damn...
Warnings: As you should know by now, I don't pay attention to my language. Rating might go up after the next five or so chapters.
Chapter 4: The Real Party Starts
I totally blew him off and went onto his porch in the backyard. I didn't know if I was allowed to be there, but I was anyway. Then, I heard something. I stood up, and, out of nowhere, something fell over the back fence. It was Liz! I ran over to her.
---
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"I'm going to the party."
"But he didn't invite you."
"I know, but he should have! He knows what a great partier I am!"
"I see," I laughed.
"Yeah, but I'm gonna get in there now and party and so I'll talk to you in a while," Liz shouted over the music.
"Sounds great."
"Oh, wait. Are you coming to my party this weekend? It's just a few girls."
"Yeah. I'm planning on it."
"Cool. So I'll see you then," she shouted on her way through the back door.
---
I was just sitting down when the back door opened again. The sound of wild teenagers and music flooded out of the house. I turned to see who it was... Josh.
"Hey," he said.
"Hey. What's up? Aren't you supposed to be hosting a party?"
"Nah, they can handle themselves. Besides, if you're not in there, how am I supposed to talk to you?"
"I didn't know you wanted to," I replied.
"Well, why else would I invite you to a party?"
"I don't know. It seems like such a big group, so it could just be a class party."
"Oh, no. This is only half our class."
"Wow," I said.
"It's a pretty big class."
"How did you find me out here, anyway?"
"Liz told me."
"I see."
"So, when did you plan on telling me your story?"
"How about right now?" he asked.
"Okay, but don't you have a party to get back to?" I replied.
"I don't need to be there any more than you do."
"Okay." So he started his story.
---
"Liz and I have been friends for, oh... I don't know how long. But then for a while we just weren't friends anymore. I guess I'm trying to say that we've changed. I've never told Liz this, but I'll always love her and be there for her no matter what."
"I get what you're saying," I responded.
"So, you want to go dance?" he asked me.
"Dance with you? Won't that, like, ruin your reputation?" I questioned.
"Now, why would you think that?"
"Why wouldn't I?"
"I get what you're saying, but you know what? Who cares what other people think? I think you're an awesome girl. You deserve some fun."
"Okay," I said happily.
Reviews, constructive criticism, and flames are welcome!
Our author is feeling quite lonely, as am I. *sniffle*
Reviews would make us feel much better. *stupid grin*
But seriously, we both want to know how we're doing so far. While the story is already written, I'll probably force... err... persuade the author to listen to any suggestions.
Thanks for reading... and listening to my ranting!
