Sweet Love

Ech have plans, and he makes it come true. Finally, living in a foreign land, Ech was able to get a chance to be part of the new company in this foreign land. This land is the place that produced the products that the main company in his home land used. At the age of twenty-five, he was part of the company's establishment and now he is part of the company's new branch. Everything is set and ready to be open, since hiring process is done and things are now in places. Ech chose to work in translating scripts, so he gets a room to himself along with a lot of neat things in it. He sometimes end up doing recording as well, it is like the guy is a multi-tasking person of some sort. One day, while getting ready for a recording session, the director introduced him and the others to a young girl who will play as the heroin in the storyline. Once things were done, Ech was called to office many times to deal with call from his home land.

<Um… Can you tech me how to speak Angushtian?> the girl that played heroin asked him one day when the entire thing was over. <Oh, miss Yuni. What interested you in such a language?> Ech asked. <I have a friend, who is an Angusht.> she replied with a little nervousness to it. <How old are you now?> Ech asked, hardly looking at Yuni. <I'm seventeen, almost eighteen…> Yuni blushes. <Ah… here's my address, come whenever you have the time.> Ech said, giving her a card from his wallet. <Thank you,> Yuni bows at him. <Call me before you come, I might not be at home sometimes.> Ech said bows back and left.

Yuni come to Ech's house often enough to study Angushtian, yet he can only help her with conversation but not much with good grammar at all. Since she also take Angushtian class in school, all she needs to do is improving her communication skill. But work got busied, and Ech can't seem to have the time to help her anymore. The time she gets to see him become less and less, until she can only see him once a week.

<Do you plan to enter college after you graduate?> Ech suddenly asked Yuni after one of their conversation sessions. <Ummm… I wanted to focuses on writing new songs, so I think I will have to put college to a hold for a while.> Yuni replied. <It's a shame, isn't it?> Ech asked, not even looking at her. <I beg your pardon?!> Yuni's eyes wide open. <It is a shame that you would put a hold on your education, since you're so young and all. I think a career can be put on hold, but an education is a never ending process. It is never good to put it on hold, since I see much of problems come from people putting education on hold in my home land a lot.> Ech said, looking into his cup of tea. <So you think it is a bad idea to not to go to college then?> Yuni got interested in his remarks. <Well, as you get older…. Your thought processes is slower than when you're young, so it makes it harder for you to get things in your head than when you're young.> Ech replied, drinking up his tea. <But it is only my opinion, think nothing of it. Do what you wanted to do, don't let my words affect your decision.> Ech said.

<I'm home…> Yuni sighs. <How was your lesson going, Yuni?> a beautiful lady asked her. <I was asked about my future…> <Eh?!> the lady was surprises. <Yuina, it is normal for a teacher to ask about his/her student's future.> said another beautiful lady. <You are right, big sister Yuei. But I wanted to know what our little Yuni said and what the teacher said that would give our beloved Yuni such a long face, I believe us as her older sisters have the right to know. Don't you think so, big sister Yuei?> Yuina said, headlock little Yuni with her right hand. <What you said to your teacher?> Yuei asked Yuni, sitting down on the sofa. <I was thinking of putting school on hold and focus on my career.> Yuni said, finally able to breathe at last. <What did your teacher said to give you such a sad face?> Yuina asked. <It's a shame that I chose career over education.> <How dare your teacher said such thing to my cute little sister?!> Yuina gets mad. <Why would your teacher said that?> Yuei said calmly. Yuni went on to explain the whole thing to her two older sisters, who listen attentively to her story.

<I see… Your teacher does seem to have a point there,> Yuei said softly. Her shoulder length brown hair, luscious body, and full lips cause many men to follow her. <I agrees with your teacher too, although I love my little Yuni much.> Yuina said, hugging Yuni tightly. Her beautiful body, long auburn hair, and lightly tanned skin let the young guys drool over her. <Can't… breathe…> Yuni choke up. <Oh my, why don't you go take a bath and dinner will be ready when you finish.> Yuei said as she stands up. <Yes…> Yuni said, heading upstairs. <Hurry little sister, let us bathe together!> Yuina called to Yuni from downstairs just as Yuni got to her room. <That is not funny, sister!> Yuni shouted. <My, my… won't you help me make dinner instead of picking on our beloved little sister?> Yuei said to Yuina. <Ah… ah… I swear to god, sometimes you sounded just like an airhead…> Yuina said, combing her hand through her beautiful auburn hair.

<Ohh… Why would they always pick on me about those things?> Yuni complained, sitting in the tub of warm water. <I applied for Tokani University, Kyanui University, and Seiko University. So why am I telling him that I intend on focusing on my career? Oh… It's like I can't think clearly at all these day…> Yuni sighs. <Wait… I remembered that Ech-san doesn't live in Tokani, he actually lives in Osko.> Yuni blushes just at the thought of him. <Well, I've already took all of my entrance exam for all those Universities, though I hope to be in the one that's close to Ech-san's place.> Yuni is getting fluster over the issue again.

Graduation comes at last, but she still has to finish up of her latest CD along with a role in record to wraps up for the production studio. Everything is coming to an end and the recording session is finally over as well. <Hey Yuni-san… Do you remember Ech-san that worked with us last year?> a co-worker said to her as she walks up to Yuni. <Yes?> Yuni stop to talk with her. <I heard that he went back to Osko, and is now working at Trading Corps. Remember when he keep on getting call from Osko?> Yuni just nodded. <That was the company's president calling him, she worked things out with this company but she stills wanted him to contacted many other companies for their products as well. For the last six months, he had been doing a lot of work for his company. The way they talked to each other on the phone sounded like they are very close to one another. I think that they are going steady for quite a while now…> the lady sigh. <How do you know?> Yuni is both curious and upset at the same time. <I heard him said, “I love you” to her in Angushtian.> she replied and left Yuni there by herself. <So he does have a girlfriend after all. Who am I kidding?! I can't compete with someone that is a company's president, and they see each other everyday too…> Yuni let out a heavy sigh and went home with a heavy heart.

<Yuni!!! Are you sad because you are going to move to Osko this weekend?!> Yuina asked, hugging her little sister. <Get off of me… You're HEAVY!!!!> Yuni shouted. <My,my… our little Yuni is all grown up…> Yuei smiles at her two sisters. <I'm going to my room,> Yuni said, storming off. <Aren't you going to have dinner first?!> Yuina called to her. <I want to be left alone to think things over.> Yuni said, slamming her door shut. <Can't even have some peace and quiet…> Yuni sigh. All her things are packed up and the things she needed for college was already sent to her small apartment there. What the lady told her earlier keep on replaying itself inside her head, gives her major headache and heartache as well. She can't figure out if what she does is right or just a waste of time chasing after someone that doesn't even exist.

Once she started college there, Yuni was once again able to meet Ech by coincidences and he gave her his new address in Osko. Nervously pressing the doorbell, a beautiful lady answered the door. <May I help you?> asked the lady in a light blue dress, long brown hair, light skin, and sparkles black eyes. <Er… um… Is… Ech-san…> “Ahh… Ecchi…. Sweety, someone is here to see you…” the lady called to Ech from the doorway. “Aya-chan! Don't go and call people sweety like that, or Hoshi-san will think there is something between us. How many times do I have to tell you not to call me Ecchi?! You make me sounds like I'm some kind of pervert or something…” Ech said coming to the doorway. <Oh, Yuni-san.> Ech said, staring at her. “I'll leave you two alone then…” Aya wink at Yuni and went back inside. “You don't have to; we're going out to discuss some things…” Ech said, dragging Yuni to his car and they head off to Saika restaurant.

<Sorry, you have to hear that from her…> <Mmm… Its okay…> Yuni shakes her head. <She just got back a couple of weeks ago with her husband, but he's away on a small business trip. She likes to torture me more than torturing her husband for some reason, shouldn't have told her that I'll always be there for her no matter what.> Ech shakes his head a bit. <So I heard that you started college down here,> Ech changes the subject. <Mmm… I'm majoring in Veterinarian, I just love animals…> Yuni smiles. <That's good, I'm majoring in media yet I somehow end up in business…> Ech laughs shyly. <So you make deals and things like that with other companies too?> Yuni blinks a couple of times. <I used to, but now I'm just a translator for the scripts that are to be ships to Angusht. Not a very exciting job, huh?> Ech smiles faintly at her. Yuni just blushes, since she can't figure out how to say something to encourage him at all. They order some foods and having lunch in silence, because there's not much to talk about. After that, Ech offer to drives Yuni home.

<How's your date with her?> Aya asked when Ech comes in. <Please don't joke like that…> Ech sighs, sitting on a sofa in the living room. <Ech… I'm serious, you should go out with her more and get marry later on.> Aya said with a gentle smiles on her pretty face. <Aya-san, she's eleven years of my junior… I think she would be more interest in guys her own age or a tiny bit older…> Ech replied, unbutton his jacket. <Silly Ecchi… ages is not a factor when it comes to love…> Aya said, leaning close to Ech. Holding his breath, Ech can feel that his ears are burning up, so he shifts his gaze towards the door instead of look into Aya's eyes. “You're so cute…” Aya giggles at him, seeing through him like she always has been since his face tells it all. “Why do you always do that to me?” Ech blushes lightly. “Because Ecchi, you never speak your mind when it comes to finding that someone for you…” Aya sighs, sitting on the table opposite from him. “Last time I did that, everything becomes a disaster…” Ech said standing up and heads for his room. “That girl is not worthy of you…” Aya called after him.

<He's not so bright when it comes to seeing a girl that likes him…> Aya sighs to herself. “She just doesn't get it…” Ech sigh inwardly, having his back against the closed door behind him. “Every woman in this world wanted a husband and some kids. I can't give them a kid, let alone being a good husband. How long can a marriage last if that couple have no kids together?” Ech's mind wonder as her put his jacket away, went into shower to clean his thought with a hot shower. Ech got a phone call from Angusht as he got out of the shower, and was told that he is needed back there immediately. So as a self-strained workaholic guy as he is, he book a flight back to his home land the next day and left Jipian behind him. Yuni come by after the day he left, but Aya told her that he gone back home and she don't know when he come back. Yuni looked so gloomy at the news, and Aya feel sorry for the kid because she knew that Ech might not return at all.

Yuni come home to see her two sisters when the school year is over, and they haven't changed much since she left either. <Little sis, did you meet any cute guys in college?> Yuina said, hugging her little sister tightly. <Sis… can't… breathe...> Yuni was chokes by the tightness of Yuina's grips. <Yuina, Yuni still have seven more years of college, so don't go and kill her.> Yuei said, coming out from the kitchen. <Oh yeah, sorry I forgot…> Yuina let go of Yuni and smiles vaguely. <Sometimes I have to wonder why I even bother to come home to see you guys…> Yuni sounds irritated. <Because we're a family, silly… Family stick together no matter what…> <I doubt that…> Yuni said to Yuina in an uninterested tone. <Uuu… Let's take a bath together, little sister…> Yuina said, dragging Yuni off. <My, my, she's getting mad…> Yuei smiles at her sisters and return to making dinner.

<So, did you found the Angusht guy that faltered your innocent heart?> Yuina asked Yuni as they sit opposite each other in the hot tub. <W-what are you talking about?!> Yuni blushes brightly. <Yuni, you wouldn't be so interested in taking extra times on speaking Angushtian correctly if you didn't fell for a certain someone.> Yuina let out a small sighs at her sister's reaction. <What make you think I would do something for a guy?> Yuni tries to defend herself. <There are many Vet colleges right here in Tokani. Why would you bother to go to Osko for college, if it weren't for someone that you have feelings for lives there?> Yuina said softly. <I am not! I just wanted to get away from this place, that's all…> Yuni said irritated as she stood up, wraps a towel around her body before stepping out of the hot tub. <You're in denial and you know it, baby sister…> Yuina said, getting out of the bath before wrapping a towel around her. <I am NOT!!!> Yuni storms out of the bathroom and runs to her room in tears. <Yup, she's in total denial alright…> Yuina sighs heavily.

While Ech arrives at the National Station in Florestic of Angusht, he was greeted by a friend, who also works for the same company as he is. “You got back fast…” “Well duh… Whose fault is that? You wanted me back ASAP and now you complain that I'm back so soon? What kind of stupid attitude is that?!” Ech sounds a bit mad. “Calm down Ech, calm down…” “Drop it, Magarine.” Ech said. Smiles nervously, Magarine said. “Okay, okay…. I'm just kidding… Lord, you sound ticked off somehow…” “Just take me home before I get really ticked, we will have a meeting next week. I wanted to rest up and be up to date on the problems we're having before the meeting. So shut up, and drives.” Ech said irritated, throwing his luggage into the car's trunk. Magarine droves home in silence and Ech was half asleep by the time they got home anyway.

Ech settled things but was asked to stay there for longer improvements of the company, so he stayed in Angusht for seven long years before he was asked for from Jipian.

Yuni studied hard, well more like crazy for seven long years to become a Veterinarian. Her bonds with her two sisters are still there, but they both are now happily married and lead their own lives. Now they get together once a year and tell stories about their daily lives. Yuei and Yuina wanted Yuni to be happy, but they also worried because Yuni is yet to date. Since Yuei married to an Angushtian guy, she also moved to Angusht to be with him. Yuina married to a Kirian-Jipianese, so they stayed in Tokani and Yuni is still single and living in Osko.

Ech's house in Osko was well kept by Aya for the past seven years, in his absent. But no matter how long it was, Aya is still the same as always by picking on him anyway she can. She and her husband along with their kids moved to Tokani for good, and Ech is alone in his house working from home on the scripts like usual. One day, his company's president asked him to go to the vet with her and her little brand new puppy. Ech couldn't denied the invitation and take her and her puppy to the vet, not having a clue on where the place was and she have to tells him where to go.

It was a Friday afternoon, and Yuni is the only doctor on staff at the Kinian Community Animals Hospital. <When is our last appointment be?> Yuni asked a nurse at the registration desk. <Our last appointment is in five minutes, Miss Hannah von Fey. Her first time having a puppy, so she wanted to gives it shots and everything.> the nurse replied. <Dog fetish?> Yuni asked. <I don't know, but here she comes… Uuu… the man with her is pretty hot, her boyfriend? Or husband maybe?> the nurse exclaimed. Yuni looks out at the couple with a puppy entering the building, and she immediately recognized the guy the nurse rave about is Ech. Not saying much, Yuni just did her job as a vet and Ech and Miss Hannah leaves happy together. Yuni's heart hurt to see Ech happily talking to this dark skinned woman.

Hearing the phone rings off the hook as Yuni opens the door to her house, she hurried to pick it up. <Hello?> <Baby sister Yuni?> Yuei's voice was on the other end of the phone. <Big sister Yuei? Why call at this time? Don't you have to go to work?> Yuni was surprised to hear Yuei's voice. <Silly, I'm back to Jipian with my husband and the kids, a week ago remember?> <Yeah, sorry I forgot…> Yuni said apologetically. <Anyway, would you meet me outside your house in half an hour? Let's go out for dinner…> <Just the two of us? What about Ben-san?!> Yuni is confused. <Ben and I will come to pick you up, since the kids are being looked after by a babysitter. We'll see you in thirty minutes…> Yuei said then hang up the phone before Yuni can object to the idea. So she end up taking a shower and gets ready in thirty minutes, her sister and brother-in-law come right on time to pick her up without delay.

<Where are we going to? There's no restaurant around here…> <You worries too much baby sister… right honey?> Yuei said to both Yuni and Ben. <We're going to his friend's place for dinner,> Yuei continued. <Wa?!> Yuni tries to protest the idea. <Don't worry, he's single and pretty nice. We think that you two would get along great, since you're single too…> Ben cuts her off before she could say anything. <B-but…> <Uh… we're here…> Ben said, turns right onto a garage's driveway and parks the car. Ben rings the doorbell and answering the door was Ech, in a white t-shirt and cream color jean.

“Yo, what's up?” Ben said to Ech in Angushtian. “Nothin' much… What took ya?” Ech replied, letting them inside and closes the door behind him. “Gotta pick up my wife's sis; Yuni.” Ben introduced her to him. <Nice to meet you…> Ech smiles at Yuni, knowing that she used to be the girl he tutored many years ago. “It is a pleasure to meet you,” Yuni said in Angushtian instead. They enjoy dinner together, but Ech and Yuni never spoken to each other the whole time. After dinner, Ech told Ben to take a dish full of already cut fruits and the girls to the living room, so he can wash the dishes. Ben did just that, but asked if Yuni could go to the kitchen and gives Ech a hand. He and Yuei are trying to be match makers for Ech and Yuni.

“Um… Ben-san asked me to help you out…” Yuni said nervously. “It has been seven years already, and your Angushtian is very good. Sorry for not saying anything to you earlier at the vet office, Hannah is a dog fetish since she and her husband have no kids and they decided to have a puppy instead. He's not home, so she dragged me along to keep her from boredom. She's the president of the company I work for and Ben is the VP…” Ech chuckles at his own blabbering. Yuni was relief to know that the lady from earlier was just his friend and not something else, and she doesn't know why she felt that way. She knows that she is completely in heaven when she's near him, and she's upset to see him with another woman. Love is such a complicated thing, that even she herself cannot tell when she is in love and when she is not. Yuni also know that what she feels is only she knows, and knowing well that Ech doesn't have the same feeling towards her as she does towards him.

<Honey, do you think they will click?> Yuei asked her husband. <I hope so,> Ben replied. <Do you think she's too young for him?> Yuei sounds worried. <Is he too old for her?> Ben asked her back. <He doesn't look that old to me. How old is he?> Yuei finally admit her flaw. <He's thirty seven, love.> Ben answered. <He's not married yet?> <No, he dated once he told me that. Things doesn't work out somehow, and he stay away from girls since then.> Ben sighs. <Why? I mean he's quite charming and much of a gentlemen too.> Yuei is confuses by her husband's answer. <If you went through the pain of being betrayed, you'll never want to go through that again. That is the basic logic to him since then,> Ben explained to his loving wife. <Why would you think that Yuni would be great for him?> Yuei asked, knowing the answer to it like the back of her hands. <She's not interest in guys, and he's not interest in girl. So I figure they would be great together, since they might have lots of things in common. You may never know,> Ben smiles at her. <We think so alike…> Yuei giggles. <Let's go and leave them alone for a bit to get to know each other, shall we?> Ben suggested. <Of course my dear,> Yuei agreed immediately and they stood up to leave.

“Ech! We just got a call from house, so take our little sister home for us! Thanks!” Ben said and closed the door behind him before Ech could come out of the kitchen to say anything. “What?!” Ech run outside, but it was too late and Ben already pull his car away. Everything was a silence after that, not much was said between them. Ech took her home and bid her good night, and that was all there was to their time together alone.

Winter come and Ech went away to spend Christmas alone in Sandent, where it actually snow more than Tokani. Yuni knit for him a scarf, and was planning to give it to him and confess her feelings for him as well. But Yuei calls her just before she left the house to Ech's house.

<Little sis, what are you up to?> Yuei asked over the phone. <I'm heading over to Ech-san's house to ask him on some words I don't understand.> Yuni lied. <Oh, don't bother to, he left for Sandent yesterday already. He said we being annoying along with bunch of other people he knows, so he wanted to spend a quiet Christmas instead or a rowdy one.> Yuei sighed. Yuni almost drops the phone when she heard the news. Yuei seems to know somehow and tells Yuni where exactly in Sandent Ech is staying, and even told her to hurry up and go there. Then Yuina calls and encourage Yuni to follow her heart, go and tell the person she likes how she feels. Listening to them, Yuni hurry to the station and bought her ticket to Sandent right away. Leaving all behind and just listen to her own heart beats, for once she is going to tell him her feeling for him that she kept hidden for the pass eight years.

<Ahh… thank you sonny…> an old lady said to Ech after he helped carrying her groceries to her house. <It's no problem at all,> Ech smiles at her, putting his light jacket back on. <You tell me that you spend Christmas alone, why not come over for dinner?> the nicely old lady offered. <It is okay, I appreciate your offer but thank you. Well, I better get going, may you have a good afternoon.> Ech bows at her and walks away. He saw a glimpse of a pretty young woman running towards him just as he was about to turns toward his cabin. Ech rushes towards her when she slips and fell.

<Miss, are you okay?> Ech extend his hands to help her up. “Thank you,” she replied. <Yuni?!> Ech is surprises to see her here. “Here's my Christmas present for you,” Yuni said, pulling out the scarf and put it around his neck. “Thank you…” Ech blushes a bit at this surprising gift he got from a girl. “There's something I wanted to tell you for a long time now…” Yuni blushes and look away. “Ah, won't you come in? It's only a one room cabin, but stay if you like.” Ech said, holding her hand and takes her inside the cabin. They spend Christmas Eve talking about nothing in particular until they falls asleep next to each other, and the phone ring early the next morning.

<Hello?> Ech said sheepishly when he picks up the phone. “Good morning, Sunshine! Merry Christmas!!! Want us to come up there to be with you?” Hannah and Ben's voice pour over the other end of the phone. “Ah?! NO!!!!” Ech said angrily and hang up the phone and unhook the phone line too. He then pulls the cover over his head and went back to sleep, already forgot that Yuni is sleeping right next to him. They sleep until it was almost noon, Ech gets up and quietly went to washes his face. Yuni could tell that Ech doesn't want to wake her up, and it makes her feel all fuzzy inside.

Ech spend the afternoon preparing dinner and Yuni helps also. A nice dinner with just the two of them, and they have a couple glasses of wine. Yuni felt a bit hot and dizzy, finding herself wanting to actually tell Ech how she felt and all that stuffs she hide inside her heart. While Ech find himself staring at Yuni and was unable to advert his eyes from her blushes face caused by the wine they just had. Her brown hair, lightly tanned skin, pretty face, and her beautiful brown eyes just mesmerize him somehow. He knows that it's rude to stares at her like that, but he can't help it at all. He finds himself in an awkward position since his tolerance for alcohol is pretty low, so he thought that must be why he becomes so attracted to Yuni. He had never felt this way about her before, and he had known her for a very long time too. Never did he looks at her and having some naughty thoughts enter his mind, but now he can't think straight for ten minutes without having some naughty thoughts of her and him together.

<Can we play a game of picking a card?> Yuni suggested as they clean up after dinner. <Huh?!> Ech finally returns to reality. <Each of us pick a card and see who has the higher numbers. The one with higher numbers win…> <Oh… what happens if I win?> Ech asked as they dried their hands. <I'll… give you a very special Christmas present that I would never give to anyone.> Yuni blushes hard at her own suggestion. <Now you got me curious to know what I will get if I win, but if I lose… I'll give you something in return as well.> Ech smiles as they walk to the living room.

He shuffles the cards and spread them out, he picks one and Yuni pick one. They both turn the card over at the same time, Ech got a five of club and Yuni have a ten of diamond. <Wow… I lost…> Ech said, getting up and headed for the bedroom. He come back out a couple of minutes later with a small box in his hand, he opens it and show her a pair of one karat stud diamond earrings. Yuni gasp at the sight of it as Ech took the earrings out and put on her ears, she feels blushes and special. They draw it again, Ech got a king of clover and Yuni got a queen of heart. Yuni said nothing as she stood up and headed into the bedroom, Ech raises an eyebrow after her. He wasn't sure if he was supposed to follow her or wait here to see what kind of present she got for him. Ech is not even sure if his brain works right since he drank up two glasses of wine earlier with her, maybe his brain lust after her when it's drunk, he thought.

Yuni said nothing and waves at him to come on in, Ech obediently obey her and come into the bed room. <There's something I wanted to tell you for a long time…> Yuni trail off as she closed the door behind her. Ech just sat on the edge of the bed and stares at her speechlessly. <Ech-san, are you married?> Yuni asked unable to tell him her feeling once again. <Huh?!> Ech jumps at the question that he hasn't heard in a while. <No,> he replied. <Thank goodness…> Yuni let out a sigh of relief. <Why?> Ech is confused and completely lost. <Ech-san, I'm… I'm…> <You're?!> Ech's eyebrow knit together at Yuni's stuttered words. Right then, Yuni decided that action speaks louder than words, so she rushes to him and gives him a long lasting kiss. Ech's eyes was wide open when she kiss him, he was in shock at her sudden action.

<I love you…> Yuni said to Ech after pulling away from him. <I've been in love with you after we spend our time together at the studio…> Yuni blushes bright red. <So your excuse for taking tutor with me, so just to be with me?> Ech is in awe at her confession towards him. <I know that you don't love me at all, but just spending time with you makes me very happy.> Yuni said as she unbutton her shirt.
