Hello Mortals, we're and back and not giving up.
Now this is a work of fiction so it’s either made up or has bits borrowed from cartoons, TV series, comics and films. Also this is a non-profit thing so if something has been taken it’s not for personal gain so please don't sue, because there isn't much you could get out of us. Except maybe some rude words.
Also this contains scenes of extreme violence and gore (Goodie), strong language (because we aren't that clever) and material of a sexual nature (No sex). You have to be 17 or over to read this (but we won't tell if your not).

Chapter 6: Crate Escape

"Hurry up, we're running late."

The crane operator heard this and began to move faster, lifting crates off the ship and onto the docks, but do so a little carelessly. The dock operator looked at his watch to see how behind they were, they were supposed to get this shipment to the museum half an hour ago. The crane operator lifted another crate into the air, but in his haste pulled the wrong lever an accidentally released the item. He quickly pulled another lever stopping the crate inches from the ground, but the force still made one of the sides split open.

"Shit! Quick go check if the cargo's alright." Cried the dock operator.

One of his crew run up to the crate and looked inside, he a large light gray statue which had a glaring expression on it's face, but didn't seem damaged.

"Unless it wasn't that ugly before, it's looks undamaged."

"Thank fuck for that, nail the crate back up and lets finish loading."

The crewmen got some nails and a hammer and started to fix the crate, failing to notice that when the sunlight touched its face, the eyes glowed and the hands started to twitch.

…Museum Warehouse, Next Morning…
The police swarmed around the remains of a wooden crate, collecting anything they considered evidence. They were trying to figure out how someone could tear off a re-enforced door, smash open a crate and steal a one ton statue before the security guards could arrive. The police were confused to say the least.
John was sat out side in his car, watching the scene from a distance. He had gotten a call saying that some artifact had been stolen. Usually this wouldn't bother him, however his company, Vicus enterprises, was responsible for shipping it here, and his company rarely deal with normal trinkets. He pulled out an I.D. badge from the glove box and snapped it to his jacket. It said that he was from the insurance depart of his company, so the police wouldn't pay him any attention while he looked around. He got out the car and walked towards the chaos of the crime scene.

"Please stay back." Said one of the policemen as John got closer.

"I'm from the company that insured the item that was stolen, I need to speak to whoever’s in charge." He held up his I.D. to the officer.

He called over another officer who escorted John to the person in charge. John explained to him that he needed to know what was taken and how. As he looked around he noticed that the scene seemed backwards, the debris from the crate was scattered outward and that the door was broken open from the inside. He could also sense and a faint energy trail, a very unusual one. Telling the police that he had seen enough he made a quick excuse and left. When he got back to his car he got his phone out and dialed a number.

"Hey Mike, I was wondering if you wanted to go hunting..."

Michael walked through the gate to Great fields Park and looked around, he saw John on a bench and Anna was with him. When he saw her he stopped and tried to neaten himself up, though any effect was minimal. He walked up to them.

"Hey John, Anna."

"Hey Mike, hope you don't mind but I asked Anna to come along, I thought she could help." John said, knowing Michael wouldn't object.

"No, not at all."

"Good, I need a good work out." Said Anna

They made their way to John's car and drive off.

"So what are we looking for?" Asked Michael.

"I'm not exactly sure, I got a call saying that a statue was stole from a museum, however from the scene, it looks like it walked away." Answered John.

"A Statue?" Asked Anna.

"My guess is that it's a Golem, it left a trail of energy that I should be able to follow." Said John.

"How?" Asked Michael.

"I can sense things that others can't, one of the 'gifts' I've gained over the years." Came Johns reply.

They stopped the car a few buildings away from the museum and got out. John walked over the boot of the car and took out his body armour and sword. He also took out another set of body armour and threw it to Michael.

"Here put this on, its an older model to the one I'm wearing but it should do well enough." Said John

"Why do I need this, I thought I could just regenerate?" Asked Michael as he put the vest on.

"Regenerating can slow you down and sometimes people or things can throw some very weird things at you."

They started walking, Michael and Anna following John who appeared to not know were he was going until the last moment, taking random turns here and there.

"Where the hell was this thing going?" Asked Anna.

"Trying to get to know its surroundings probably." Said John.

They continued walking until Michael stopped and looked down an alley.

"Hey John, Golems are living statues, right." Asked Michael

"Basically yeah, Why?"

"Well..." He pointed down the alley. John looked and saw a crushed skip that had been thrown down to the end of the alley.

"Well at least we know were on the right track." Said Anna.

They continued following the trail until it lead to a train station. The police were surrounding it as it appeared that someone had broken in and smashed up the barriers. They would have followed but being as armed as they were they didn't want to risk it.

"So what now?" Asked Michael

"It's probably in the tunnels, so we'll have to find another way in further down." Said John

They followed the tracks using a map until they came to a point where it came above ground. John, Anna and Michael jumped down to the tracks and went in to the tunnel. Michael had to follow John and Anna as he didn't have night vision and John took the lead, following the energy trail. John could feel that it was getting stronger the further in they went. He heard a loud thump and saw something swing into his chest, launching him into Anna and sending them to the other side of the tunnel. Michael instinctively went stone skin and braced himself as a second swing came at him, but only succeeded in pushing him back a few feet. He came back and punched it in what he thought was it's face however it felt like a wall, only to be grabbed by the chest and swung round. By this time John and Anna had gotten back up and were charging toward the Golem, but it had started to run down the way they came. Michael got back up and followed them.

"That thing's fast for a statue." Said Anna.

They had followed the Golem through one of the service entrances and back on to the streets. Luckily night had fallen so there were fewer people out and made it easier to track as the golem had ran over a car in its retreat. They followed the path of destruction until they came to an empty road.

"Which way did it go?" Asked Michael.

Before anyone could answer, someone stepped on to the street. John was surprised that he hadn't noticed him before, and by what he was wearing, full samurai armour. Michael immediately recognized him from before and John tried to feel him out, but he couldn't sense anything from him, not even a scent, which was impossible.

"That's the guy from before." Said Michael.

"Well whoever he is, he's come prepared." John said as he reached for his sword.

"What doe's he want?" Anna Asked as she pulled out her gun.

"I am not here to fight." Said the samurai and Michael quietly sighed with relief.

"Then what are you here for, it can't be good considering something's masking your presence." Said John.

"What?"

"He's a void, if I wasn't looking at him right now I wouldn’t have known he was there."

"I thought something wasn't right." Said Anna.

The samurai lifted his arm ad pointed behind them.

"The creature you what went that way."

They looked behind them and turned back to see that he had vanished.

"Forget about him for now, lets concentrate on the Golem." Said John.

They went the way the samurai pointed and arrived at a park, with the front gate torn off and cautiously walked in, scanning the parking for any movement. It was running across a field not too far away from them, so they sprinted toward it.

"Anna concentrate your fire at it's eyes, Mike when you see an opening, charge into it." Shouted John as they reached the Golem.

Anna and Michael stopped but John kept running and jumped over it, flipping and hitting the Golem with his sword as he went over it's head. The Golem took a swig at John, but he evaded and ran around it. When it turned Anna opened fire at it's eyes, but the Golem raised its arms to block the bullets. Michael saw an opportunity and took it, runnig at the living statue and activating his stone skin, he charged it into a nearby tree, but he was having difficulty holding him there.

"Guys hurry, I can't hold it for long." He shouted.

John ran to a lamp post and cut it down with his sword, then used telekinesis to pick it up.

"Mike, when I say, hit the ground." He raised his hand and got ready. "NOW!"

He threw his hand forward and launched the lamp at the Golem. Michael let go and dropped to the floor and as the Golem raise up the lamp hit it square in the head, shattering it and going through the tree. It's body froze and fell back against the tree and Michael git up and changed back as John and Anna walked up to him.

"So what do we do with this thing now?” Asked Anna.

"I'll have someone come down later and turn it into rubble, but I think our part is done, come on I'll give you a lift home." Said John as he and the others turn and left.

...Back at the Museum...

The curator was going through a list of recent acquisitions to see if anything else was miss when he suddenly stopped, with a blank look in his eye. Behind Him stepped a bald, pale man with black tattoos on the sides of his head and a beard (See chapter three). He past the curator and walked up to two large crates.

"Thank you for looking after these for me." He then waved his hand and the crates fell open, revealing two statues that looked exactly like the Golem.

He contemplated killing the curator, but then demised the idea as being too noticeable.

"Besides two is a much better number than three."
