After I got my bolts and a good night's sleep, I was off again, heading to Mort' ton. There was a bridge to the east of there that I could use to cross into Abrigoth. Then from there it's a straight shot to Castle Drake, and Vaunter. After I reached Mort' ton I blankly stared across the old, rickety, rope bridge. Yeah, one of these...The fog was just dim enough to see across it so I sucked up as much courage as I could muster and started walking across this creaky excuse for a bridge.

As I made my way across I looked down to the raging river of mud and green sludge. Would really suck to fall in there, which is why I have the feeling somethin' very bad's about to happen. As I walked a plank I had stepped on snapped and my foot fell through. Good thing I was holdin' onto the edge or I probably woulda fell with it. The plank of wood hit the sludge and was absorbed into it. No splash, just a quick sinkin' motion.

As I stepped off the bridge and onto the other side, yeah...I made it. Weird huh? Anyway, as I made it to the other side I could clearly see the castle just on the other end of this building I was standin' in front of. It used to be used as a checkpoint but now it just overlooks the cold dead lands. I began walkin' through it. There was an eerie wind blowin' through as every step I took echoed through. I looked ahead and saw these huge purple coffins linin' the walls near the exit. I could tell they were just moved here.

I passed one that was already opened, from the inside. Yeah...I smell vampires. I calmly reached over my back and drew my crossbow. As I did this I noticed the coffins began to move. This would be too easy. As I walked past each I pointed my crossbow over to the coffin and fired through it. I could hear a moan off pain confirmin' the hit and the coffin's top would automatically slide back into place. After fillin' about ten coffins I finally reached the exit and stepped outside. As I looked upon the large castle that stood in front of me, only one thought came to mind.

“I bet there's a shit-load of steps in there” I said out loud as I sighed lazily.

I lifted my head up and gripped my crossbow, somethin' was behind me. I slowly turned and came face to face with a pale creature with large, dripping fangs, huge black wings, a long purplish tail, and large bat ears. Great, the one that got away. It roared loudly in my face, makin' me lean back slightly. Its breath smelled like...it just stunk ok? I caught myself swishing the air in front of my face with my and as it stared blankly at me.

“Oh sorry dude, you just really need to brush after commin' back from the dead.” I said to him.

He roared again and smacked me with his wing, knocking me back a few feet onto the ground. Son of a bitch I was only tryin' to help. I looked over and saw my crossbow was too far away from me to grasp it. Then the vampire walked forward and lunged at me, exposing its large fangs.

I kicked up, knockin' its head back. Then I pushed myself off the ground and landed on my feet.

“So you like smackin' people huh?” I asked as I took a fightin' stance.

I was gonna whoop this bat's ass. I punched forward but it reached out with its hand and grabbed my fist, then roared as it pushed me back even further. I dropped to the ground on my back, but got up again. It lunged at me, its wings expanded and grabbed me around the waist and carried me high in the sky.

I remember what happened last time so ignored the urge to elbow it in the side. Instead, I kneed it in the chest and it stopped ascending. I think I made it mad because the next thing I knew, I was flying through the air towards the castle. I smacked hard into a tower, and fell to the roof. Now I'm really pissed off! I'm sick of these winged...whatever there called jus tossin me around!

I noticed it was commin' around in the air so I got a running start, then lept from the castle roof. This was a really bad idea!!! I reached out and grabbed it by the ear, then pulled myself closer and kneed it in the stomach. It squealed in pain but I didn't care. It's flying began to grow wobbly as I held onto its left wing. We started spinning down towards the castle and I let go of its ear and punched it in the face, then spun it around.

“EAT THIS!” I yelled as I slammed its head into the castle walls.

It bounced off and I began repeatedly punching it in the face. We tumbled through the air as I punched it harder and harder until I decided to flip around on its back, place my knee on him, and hold his left wing up as I held his head down, and slammed his ass into the ground. He was motionless, and I was shocked to be alive. I got up and backed off its corpse, then a sharp pain shot through my knee.

“Agh! Son of a bitch!” I exclaimed as I gripped my knee and began massaging it slightly.

“Not one of my best ideas...” I said as I placed my crossbow on my back and began walkin' towards the castle.

“Ow...Ow...Ow...Ow...Ow...Ow...Ow...”

I finally limped myself in through the castle gates and guess what was waiting for me? Steps...I have a possibly broken knee, and I have to climb steps.

“Can my life get any worse?!” I exclaimed.

Apparently it can as I noticed a dark portal open in front of the thousands of steps. This smells like demonic magic. But at least I won't have to you the stairs. So I gladly limped my way towards the portal when a breeze blew in. Man my head was cold...then it hit me. My head was cold! I reached up and felt my black short hair and realized I wasn't wearin' my hat.

“WHERE THE HELL IS MY HAT?!” I exclaimed at the top of my lungs.

Then I thought about it. I have been doin' a lot of jumpin' around lately. It coulda easily fallen off.

“Dammit I WANT MY HAT!” I yelled furiously.

I then sighed and limped into the portal, my leg was feelin' better but I kinda got used to limping. As I stepped from the portal I noticed I was in a large chasm with huge statues of evil demons with small wings, sharp claws, and huge sharp fangs.

“I wonder if they'll come to life.” I said bordly with my head tilted to the side.

As I continued walking I noticed at the end of the chasm, which was lit by a large number of torches hung from the wall, there was a man standing with his back turned in front of another portal. He had dark orange hair that was rolled into spikes, and a large black cape that stuck up like spikes at the shoulders.

“Ah, so you must be the one they call Ghost. I've been expecting you.” He said in a menacingly dark voice.

“Usually a host would prepare a meal for his honored guest.” I replied grinning.

God I hope this is him. I wanna go home.

“You're right, how rude of me. I've been absent from the human realm for quite some time, I'm afraid my etiquette is quite lacking. Please allow me to prepare a meal.” He said as he raised his left hand and snapped his fingers loudly.

The statues of the demons began to shake and rattle as they slowly broke away from their rocky exteriors. They smashed through the rock, revealing their blood red skin and dripping fangs. They stepped to the middle of the chasm and focused their piercing golden eyes on me. Saw this commin.

“Sorry but I don't eat demon.” I said in a cocky tone.
“Good because they're not the feast. You are.” The man replied.

He then stepped forward into the portal and disappeared.

“Great. Now I gotta deal wi-“ I went to say but I stopped as something grabbed me and tossed me into a stone pillar.

I peeled off the pillar and fell to the ground face first. That some bitch hurt. I Stood up sluggishly and watched as a demon charged at me. He grabbed me by the neck, then swung me back into the pillar. It broke in half and the demon dropped me to the floor in the heap of rubble. I sighed because I knew my coat had to be all dusty, then I pushed a large rock from my back and stood up.

“Now it's my turn.” I said darkly.

Two demons rushed forward towards me. They aint so tough. One of them slashed at me but I swiftly moved to the side, grabbed it by the arm, and swung it over my shoulder and into the second demon. I then lunged forward and punched another one in the neck, then pushed off and kicked one in the stomach. I regained my balance and roundhouse-kicked the one behind me when anther grabbed me from under my arms and lifted me off the ground slightly.

The demon I roundhouse-kicked regained its composure and lunged forward towards me. I kicked up, hittin' it in the jaw, then walked up its stomach and flipped over the demon that was holdin' me and kneed it in the back, then hopped backwards, and drop-kicked it into the other demon. I turned as I heard somethin' tunderin' towards me and was swept off my feet as a demon gripped me around the neck and slammed me into a wall. I grinned evilly as I held out my crossbow, then pulled the trigger and shot him in the stomach.

The demon let out a loud roar of pain as it disintegrated into dust and dropped me to my feet. I dusted myself off and looked at the rest of the demons who were all heaped together in a pile. I grabbed a bolt from the carrying case on my shoulder and twirled it in my fingers as I rotated my arms in a circle. I then lined up my crossbow with the bolt and loaded it in.

“Time to die.” I said darkly as I grinned evilly.

The demons looked horrified at me as I charged forward and fired a bolt as I jumped into the air. The bolt shot into a demon and it began to evaporate as I fired another bolt into the crowd. The bolt hit another demon and I landed on one's head, then back-flipped off and shot it in the back of the neck. I landed on the ground and slid my crossbow on my back, then walked through the dust of the slain demons towards the portal. This is so easy it's almost sad.

As I walked through the portal I came into a large, round, pit-like room, with huge, spiked rocks scarcely sticking from the ground like pillars.

“You're too late Ghost. I have already drank from the wine!” I heard a voice call out from above.

I silver jug dropped from the sky and fell right in front of me. I looked up and noticed a huge gargoyle lookin' thing hovering above me with large gray and black wings, large, spiked gray arms with three claws and a large spike-like thumb. A long, thing, gray tail, two large legs with long, sharp, talon-like toes, three large, crown-shaped spikes on its head and pitch-black eyes. This looks like fun.

“So you gonna stay up there all day, Vaunter? Come down here and fight like a man!” I yelled.

“Very well, if you wish.” He replied as he dropped from the sky.

I rolled from under him but he wrapped his tail around my leg and flung me into a pillar. That kinda hurt. I then felt somethin' grab my foot and looked down. Vaunter pulled me to the ground and dragged me towards another pillar, then swung me into it. I smashed through the pillar and rolled on my side on the ground. Now that hurt. I groaned loudly as I went to pick myself up, but was kicked under the stomach and sent flying about a yard into a wall.

I rolled on my left side and watched as Vaunter stomped towards me. His wings open widely, and his arms swaying as he stepped closer and closer. I got up, loaded a silver bolt in my crossbow, and aimed for his head.

“Asta la bye bye.” I said as I grinned evilly and fired the bolt.

Vaunter raised his left arm and the bolt stuck into it, like firing into stone. He then lowered his arm and I stared blankly forward. Before I knew it, Vaunter was right over top of me. He reached down and wrapped his long claws around my body and lifted me from the ground, then slammed me against the wall.

“You're going to need a lot more than that if you want to defeat me.” He said in a rumbling voice as he flung me to the side.

I hit the ground hard and slid a few feet, then got back up and fired another bolt. The bolt shot into Vaunter's left eye and he roared in pan as he leaned his head back and grabbed his face.

“You want more? He's some more!” I yelled as I fired another bolt into his throat and shoulder.

Vaunter roared loudly as he stumbled backwards into a wall, knocking down a large rope. The hell did that come from? Vaunter let out a terrifying roar and ripped the bolt from his eye, and closed it tight.

“Now you die!” He roared loudly as he jumped up into the air.

I loaded another bolt and fired it into one of his wings. Vaunter didn't slow a bit as he flew over-head. A felt something wrap around my waist and I was yanked into the air. Vaunter began flying up and flipped in the air, then released me, throwing me to the ground face first. The wind was knocked out of me and I began to black out. I could hear myself breathing loudly as I wobbled to my feet. There was a dangerous pain in the back of my neck. Play times over now.

I reached into my coat and pulled out an explosive potion, removed the leech flesh from it, and threw it at Vaunter.

“So now you're throwing potions around?” He yelled as he went to bat the potion away.

I grinned evilly as he smacked the potion and it exploded violently. He roared loudly as he spiraled down to the ground. He crashed down hard, gripping a large hole in his arm. I sluggishly walked over towards the rope, trying to keep my balance as my vision began to split in half. I felt something bounce from the ground and the Vaunter crashed down in front of me. He lifted his right arm up high in the air, then smacked me into a wall. I groaned loudly as my body went numb. My vision got hazier as Vaunter took to the air again.

“I'M NOT DONE YET!” I yelled fiercely as I pushed myself to the ground.

Vaunter rammed his claws into the wall where I was and turned towards me. I rolled over to the rope lying on the ground and grabbed it. I then poured out six explosive potions and tied them together by the tops. Vaunter ripped his claws from the wall and turned to me. I began swinging the rope around focused on Vaunter as he jumped from the wall. I stepped forward and spun around as I released the rope. The potions wrapped around his neck like a collar and I tugged down hard. Vaunter turned and was steered face-first into a wall, then tumbled to the ground.

He opened his one eye and glanced over to me. I took out a match and flicked it against my jacket twice, making it spark. I then grinned evilly as I stared down the rope and placed the match on it.

“How's this for a lot more?” I said darkly as the rope ignited.

The fire trailed down the rope with great speed and Vaunter's eyes both widened as the flames hit the explosive potions and blew up into a large, fiery cloud. I felt my conscientiousness slowly slip away as my vision blackened and I fell to the ground. Oh yeah, so I should still be alive. That's good. I'm not really in the mood to die just yet.
