"I'm certain you'll be just like him," Sven said as he bit into his bagel. "You've got 'daddy' written all over you."

"Hopefully Angelia will be a little easier to handle," Maverick said as he sipped his coffee. "But I can't wait to chase her around the house."

Sven sighed. "One man's fantasy is another's nightmare...."

Lana laughed. Maverick looked at her. "Future mother?"

She blushed. "Maybe one day..."

"I could see her as a mom. Of course her kids would be completely sheltered because she blushes at the very mention of sex," Sarah teased.

Lana blushed even brighter.
"But I...well..."

Maverick laughed. "I think it's cute that you blush. Not many girls I have meet are so innocent. It's refreshing."

Evana glared at him. "What the hell does that mean!?"

"It means you are a whore, Evana," he said calmly as he sipped his coffee.

"Yeah...well...if you didn't know me so well I'd probably fight you on that..."

At this Sven snickered, but didn't say a word. Maven entered the room with a small yawn. "Morning," he said softly as he ventured forth to collect something to eat.

"Good morning," Lana said with a smile. Maverick tipped his cup to him.

"How...did everyone sleep last night?" He asked trying to keep his voice calm as he grabbed a bottle of water.

"I slept fine, but I'm worried about Skyla...she wasn't in her bed this morning and I haven't seen her around...Just then, Skyla walked in. She blushed when she saw everyone. Though it was different being alone with Maven, she felt that she had a sign on her forehead that said "I fooled around last night, ask me how it was."

"Good morning...everyone..." she said softly and reached for an apple.

Maven kept himself from blushing through sheer will power alone.

Sven, Evana, and Sarah looked at the two. All three tried not to snicker. Ah, kids today....

"Skyla....where were you this morning?" Lana asked as Skyla took a bite from her apple.

The events of last night flashed in her head and she started choking on her apple. Quickly Maverick put down his coffee and started patting her on the back. After catching her breath, she set the apple down.

"Are you alright?"

"Yes...I was...we...this morning...I um..." What could she say? Had she never known about sex she wouldn't have felt this way...

"You were getting freaky with Maven," Sven said as he took a sip of his drink.

"No! I wasn't! I swear!" she said quickly. Lana covered her mouth as she blushed. Just then Xavier walked in. Skyla looked at him then at his crotch. "Oh! Xavier! H-hi!" She grabbed her apple. "I need air...lots of air...." she said and hurried out.

"Was she just staring at your crotch?" Sven said, doubling over in laughter.

Xavier looked down and shrugged.
"Probably. She seems attracted to it. Speaking of crotches, how did last night go Maven?"

The look of mortification on Maven's face was one that Sven was going to enjoy forever. His wrist flashed as he took a picture with his data pad. "Priceless...."

"But she's my age!" Lana said quickly.

"I didn't think Skyla knew about sex...much less would engage in it at least not so soon," Maverick said as he grabbed his coffee again. "I do hope you were respectful of her, Maven and you treated her like a lady."

"W-w-we d-didn’t do anything," he said, his cheeks blood red. "I'm going to go get some fresh air...."

"You would think you were her age by the way you act..."

"Oh don't pick on him. He probably didn't perform well. Otherwise she wouldn't be stuttering, she would be all over him."

"We didn't do anything!" He snapped, Evana’s food flying across the room with his sudden outburst. He shook his head. "I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean for that to happen."

Everyone grew quiet for a moment. "Ok...we believe you..." Evana finally said.

Maven nodded slowly.
"I'm...going outside...." He turned and exited, unable to believe that he'd just had an accident like that. He never lost control.

"Wow, someone has issues," Sven laughed.

"I really really don't want him as an enemy..."
Sarah giggled. "Aw, he's not that bad. Nothing a bullet can't solve. Though he is an emotional little thing."
Skyla sat in an artificial tree that was in the yard. It looked real, felt real, even spent real. No one would be able to tell the difference, but she could. She didn't sense anything from it so she knew it wasn't real, but she climbed in it anyways and sat on a limb while eating her apple and watching Hailey chase Boris while yelling, "Do not run, Evil Teddy! Super Hailey will defeat you!"
Boris shook his head.
"Never!"

Hailey held at her hands. "My super powers will kill you!" she said as she shot her invisible rays as Boris.

Skyla laughed as she chewed.

"Oh no! I am no match for your super powers," he said as he fell back on the ground.

Hailey walked over to him. She jumped on his chest and put her hands on her hips.
"I have won! And now my reward!" She held her hands up and Skyla dropped a cookie. Catching it, Hailey stuffed it into her mouth. "Be afraid bad men!" she laughed as she chewed.

"Oh Super Hailey! What will we ever do without you!" Skyla laughed.

"Do not worry, Princess Skyla! I shall never leave! I am invis...invisa...in... I can't die!"

Skyla laughed so hard.

Maven shook his head as he watched the scene unfold. It was rather hilarious and cute all at the same time.
"Bravo," he said as he clapped his hands.

Hailey bowed then jumped off Boris.
"Ok, Teddy. You may come to life after the Princess gives you her kiss of life!"

Skyla jumped out of the tree and kissed Boris's hand. "He lives!"

Boris stretched and yawned. "I am alive!"

Hailey laughed. "Now that I let you live, you are my slave! Come slave! My belly is hungry!"

Boris chuckled and nodded. "Okay. Let's go get you something to eat."

Skyla watched as the little girl attempted to pull him in the house while holding his hand. She bit into her apple again and started back up the tree.

"You seem quite comfortable up there," Maven said as he looked up at her.

"Reminds me of home even if it isn't real," she said.

"This is the first time I've seen a tree that was actually green."

"I think Xavier made it. It even looks real...but it's not." She smiled down at him and looked at his food. "Want to come up?"

He shook his head. "I can climb rocks and canyons, but trees are my weakness," he laughed.

She held out her hand.
"Come on." He set down his foot and grabbed her hand as she helped him up the tree. When he was up, she jumped down and picked up his food then climbed up and handed it to him. "There you go."

Maven smiled. He didn't want to point out the obvious that he could have levitated it up to them. "Thanks."

She bit her apple and smiled while dangling her feet and pushing her brown locks from her golden eyes.

"So the other think that we were...intimate last night."

She dropped her apple. "W-what?" she blushed.

Her apple stopped in mid-air as he levitated it back up to her.
"Well, I think I might have convinced them otherwise...."

Slowly she took the apple with both hands. Her blushing didn't leave as she looked at the apple. "I'm sorry, Maven...I didn't know that it was so...intimate...I would have never gone to Xavier or have asked you to...to...touch me...if you had just told me...yourself..." she whispered.

"I'm no good with that stuff," he admitted. "I was afraid that if I'd tried to explain it then I'd just end up making a fool of myself."

"I should have caught on when I saw you and Farrah in the past...or Maverick and Angelia's mother...or Boris and his wife...or the others... But it just seemed...different..."

"How so?"

"I don't know...it's different when you are watching someone's past. Sometimes I see so much of the same things happening in someone's past that it just seems over played so I become numb to it. Everyone in the house has a past with sex...well expect Hailey...so I've seen it so much that it's just something I looked over. It's hard to explain..."

He nodded. "I guess it's like watching the same movie over and over again. Eventually you barely pay attention because you know it."

"Yes! That's it! It's the other things I like most...like the first time Boris ever held his baby girl. Or the first time Maverick felt Angelia kick in her mother's stomach. Or the first time Sven fell in love. It’s things like that that makes it worth seeing," she said with a soft smile. "Mostly because I just assumed I would never experience any of that."

"Sven fell in love?" He smirked at that. "There's got to be a good story there."

"It is. A very good story, but not mine to tell," she said and smiled at him. She tapped his nose. "But there are a lot of good stories."

"Well, tell me a story that you can tell," he smiled.

She thought a moment.
"I suppose Lana wouldn't mind if I talked about her..." She played with the apple while she smiled. "After her parents died, Lana was left all alone. She cried a lot and no one in the village really cared. But there was this old man, Mr. Green. He was known for being grumpy and mean to everyone. However, he passed by Lana's small house and heard her crying. It had been a week since her parents were gone and she was out of food. She was only eight so she didn't know anything really." She looked off into the horizon and leaned against the tree as she smiled. "For two days, he past her house listening to her cry. One the third day, he stopped. He walked straight into the house and set down a basket full of food. Lana looked up at him and for the first time she stopped crying. Every week he would bring her food and she would go to his house and help him garden or do small things. Even after he died, Lana still worked on his garden and visited his grave, bringing a basket of food every week to have a picnic at his grave."

"I bet she must miss him," he whispered. "It must be hard not being close to his grave with all that is going on."

"Well, you would think, but it's because of him that she really decided to do this. You see, the day he came into her life, she never cried again about her parents, not even once. And he made her promise to use her gift for something that would make a difference. Because he had helped her stopped crying, she wanted to keep that promise. So here she is, trying to make a different."

"She's a lot braver than I gave her credit for."

"She's shy because she's only ever had one friend before. But she's opening up. I see her smile a little more everyday and she seems to idolize Maverick...or likes him." She finished her apple and let it hit the ground to become soil.

"I think it's a little bit of both," he smiled.

She looked over at him.
"Yes, I think you are right. But the real question is if he likes her back."

"I don't really think he's looking for love." He paused as he looked at her. "He just wants to be a father."

She continued to smile. "He wants what's best for Angelia. A mother will be much needed later for her," she said softly. "Lana could be a good mother."

"Yes. In time I think she would be a great mother."

She pushed his hair from his eyes. "That is why I like you so much."

"Why?"

She moved closer to him and put her hand over his heart. "Because, even after everything you have been through...even after you lost your memory, your heart never changed. It's always been such a very good heart, a kind, strong, loving heart."

He smiled at that, hoping that she was right about him. "It makes me happy to hear that coming from you."

She pulled back. "Why is that? I have had very little human contact and I don't know much about humans. How can something I say make you so happy?"

"When I call you beautiful, doesn't that make you happy?"

She blushed. "Yes..."

"Then you understand how it could make me happy."

She smiled. "And how do I know that you don't tell all the girls they are beautiful?"

He shrugged. "I don't know. You're the one who knows my past. Not me."

She laughed. "You make it very hard to pretend to be normal."

"There's nothing normal about this world."

"So you say."

He smirked at that. "Yes I do."

Reaching over, she took a grape from his plate and popped it into her mouth.

His eyes traveled down to his plate, and one by one his grapes began to float in the air. They circled around him, floating into his mouth on command as he chewed them.
"I wonder where we'll be sent to next."

"I don't know...can't see that far into the future," she laughed.

"Some fortune teller you are," he teased.

She smiled.
"Really? How about this, in about three seconds, you are going to kiss me."

"Is that a prediction or a request?"

"You can pick."

He leaned forward and pressed his lips to hers, his arms wrapping around her to keep her steady. Skyla smiled into the kiss. Her hand pressed to Maven's chest as they sat in the tree. Though she could count how many kisses she had on one hand, she couldn't help but feel as if Maven was meant to kiss her. As her eyes closed and her body was pulled to him, the tingles in her body came rushing back.

He nipped and sucked her lips, gently, almost teasingly. When he was through, he pulled back and relaxed against her.

She smiled with a flushed face. "See? Told you it would happen."

"Now the question is, did it happen because you told me or because it was meant to?"

"Now why on earth would I tell you that and ruin my fun?"

"I don't know. You're the psychic one," he smirked.

She smiled. "Yeah, I am."
