Chapter 3
When Antech wakes up in ah hour he is pissed. After telling the crew about what happened Hunter comes in to the cell barricades.
“Well but that was fun and all but I am threw with you all. Now I just need one thing. You elf. Come with me Falla if you don't want your friend to suffer when I kill you all,” Hunter says and Falla says good bye to her friend and hugs her and goes off with Hunter.
Once inside his chambers he invites her to sit down in the seat before his table and he locks the door. He then sits down in his chair and starts talking about his life and plans to her.
“You could say I was abnormal boy. I hunted small game as a boy and worked my way up to monsters as a teen. By adulthood I was hunting humanoids or the demi-humans like you. By age 25 I had hunted every beast and creature on the planet but man so I decided naturally to create some creatures. With some bio-technology I create a bunch of creatures and hunted them. But soon they begun to rebel so I had to kill them. But not for three. They taught me a new emotion. Fatherhood. I called them Steel, Dragonite, and Silver Moon. The year was 1706 and there still around. Now my goals are to make myself into the perfect hunting machine and to eradicate all non-human or monster creatures on the face of this planet of Zamtar. Now this may go against my character as a hunter of you creatures but, my plan is deeper then that. I plan to then, once all you creatures are dead and rotting in the soil make a deal with the undead kingdom on Canoes. I will become a lich king and bring back my hybrid warriors as undead skeletons I killed and have them hunt down all the remained humans and gather them in there cities. So then Canoes will be free to expand and with there pick of the four continents and many cities and towns I will be the new master of the world. I will be Death himself. But first I need a bride,” Hunter says to her.
“What are you going to do?” Falla says now scared.
“Please Falla. It will be quick,” Hunter says and gets up and slowly walks to her while extending his new found fangs.
She gets up quick and is about to make a mad dash away from him when he grabs her with blinding speed.
“Shhh… It will be alright. Just relax my love,” Hunter says as he pets her hair softly.
She starts to cry and as he feeds off the emotion coming from her he strikes. He drives his fangs into her neck and starts draining her of blood. She feels the pleasure of a thousand orgasms and he drains her to the last drop. Then he gets a knife quickly and cuts his wrist and pours the dark blood down her throat. She wakes up pale and white with red eyes and her blond hair now silver. And with a burning hunger and thirst.
“What is this pain I feel!?” Falla yells at him.
“Just hunger. Here have a bottle of blood,” Hunter says to her.
Not knowing why she grabs it and drinks it down. When done she is feeling better. But she looks at her pale skin.
“A mirror,” Falla demands.
“You can't see yourself in a mirror or almost any reflections now fool. But here is a bottle of blood. Look at your reflection through this liquid.”
She looks at herself and is a bit horrified at her new appearance. She looks so intimidating now. She asks him, “Now what?”
“Now I give the choice to you of what I do with the rest of them.”
“Let them go.”
“Ok,” He says and lets her idea come out.
The two of them release the group back into the cemetery. Valla is sad to be losing her friend but Falla hints at that they will see each other soon. The group of four with the half-body Valla in tow on Cross's back walk out of the cemetery toward the great city of Mentamar. Once inside they find to there relief that the city is one of tolerance toward most civilized monsters.
While searching for a place to call there own in the city to bump into a rather unusual reptillite. He was a almost normal looking reptillite that was bald with amber eyes and blue jeans and cow hide boots with a cut off shoulders white t-shirt but he had on his left arm some kind of large steel sword piece connected to it and another steel plate imbed in his skin at his right shoulder plate and half-face right side steel mask plate on his face that seemed to be made to his face with a slit for his eye. He introduced himself as Steel.
“You guys seem to need a good place to hang out. I know of one. It in the slums but of good condition and no paper work as you know what a headache it would be for a group of a vampire, a zombie, a werewolf, and what is she a half eaten reptillite? Ha! Jokes aside follow me it's a good deal,” Steel says to the group.
And so the group with few options left follow him into the slums.
Once at the address he gives them the go to check out the place. They go inside and find it's a two story house with 3 two bed bedrooms, one on bottom, and the last two on top. It came in working conditions, not that the group really needed much.
“So how you like? Is it workable?” Steel asked them.
“It will do. How much is it?” Antech asks him as Cross goes and checks out the upper rooms.
“Well for a normal person its 200 zenny a month or 50 zenny a week but for you guys I'll cut you some slack and make a 100 zenny a month or 25 zenny a week. So which payment option you want,” Steel asked him.
“We will take the 25 zenny a week. Don't worry guys I'll pay for,” Slicer says.
“At least you're in better moods,” Valla says as she climbs on a sofa.
“Don't push it. I'm only in better moods when I'm drunk. I just got a duty that's all. Besides we are only staying here a couple of weeks.”
“But what are we going to about Falla my friends.”
“Personally I could care less what happens to that now vampire elf. Each vampire to there own,” Antech says with unconcern as Valla pouts.
“Well I'll be off. I'll collect the rent next week.” Steel says and walks outside.
Outside Steel is trying to light up a cigarette in his mouth one handed with his right hand.
“Come on I should be use to this handicap by now. Damn sword arm. If my old boss hadn't wanted me to graft on the steel onto my shoulder plate and sword onto my left arm I would be able to do this. When did I graft this new piece on? Oh yah when I was hanging out with Star Ray and Black Jack. At least that blacksmith can crafted a good face plate and I didn't have to burn it on like last two times since of Star Ray's fire magic and necromancy skills. Those where the good old days… Come you stupid son of a bic…” Steel almost cursed when someone said, “Need a light.”
“Thanks,” Steel says as he takes a puff and sees who it is. ”Hey Hunter. I got them in the place. Slicer said he pay for it like you told him to do. You play some wicked mind games. First by frying poor Silver to make them suspect that he's against you, which I doubt he liked, then by taking away the reptillite friend to use as part of your plan. If I remember correctly you're trying to flush out that gang of wolfens that terrorizing the city. Always try to act the hero you devil. But what the Darsu's Caves did you do to that poor reptillite?” Steel asks him.
“Well the battle with Falla and Valla or the elf and reptillite got a little out of hand and I had to slice her in half with a swing of my sword. She would not quit fighting once Falla went unconscious but I had to use some sleeping gas bomb on her then healing real quick in the field with some healing lotion,” Hunter told him.
“Well alright. I'm out here. My two friends in Shawdoes probably are wondering where I gone off to. At least this 1,000 zenny you gave me will keep that greedy bastard Black Jack happy hee, hee,” Steel says and leaves on his trek.
“Now I wait and watch for it to happen,” Hunter says to himself as he walks back to the crypt.
