[ A - All Readers ]

Heylo again people, well, I finished chapter three in more time than I thought I would. Thank you to whoever read and a big thank you to my reviewer. It's a little shorter than the last one, but oh wellies. Here it is.

Chapter Three

My aunt arrived that afternoon and, oh boy, did she have a surprise! After Chase and Hayden had left, Robby and I were stuck with nothing to do until Aunt Ophelia, we actually call her Aunt Lia, arrived. I settled for completing some of my summer reading assignment, which my future teacher had given me, in the living room. Robby, on the other hand, stayed upstairs. He, it turns, made the wiser choice. When the doorbell rang, since I was the closest to it, I had to answer the door. The sight that greeted me nearly made me faint from shock.

At the door stood Aunt Lia and I guess he was her boyfriend. He definitely fit her standards. He was tall, handsome, had just enough muscle, and would definitely classify as hot in anybody's book. I must have been standing there for a while just staring, but honestly, I couldn't help myself.

"Well, my dear little Allie-gator, are you going to let us in, or are being forced to sleep with gasoline, or whatever that beasts name is." Aunt Lia said walking in and ordering the black haired man behind her to shut the door. She was acting as normal as ever, so I wondered why the man was here. To anybody that knows Ophelia Price, my shock is understandable. My Aunt Ophelia never, and I do mean never, brings her boyfriends home to visit. Ever since I was a little kid I have never once met any of her boyfriends. It's understandable of course. Before my mom and dad were divorced the household was a bit of a war zone. I never got mad about the fact that she kept them away; it just always meant that I was going to get all of her attention instead of having to share her with some guy that I didn't even know that well. So my bewilderment at the sudden change in routine was understandable.

"Aunt Lia, who is he." I said in my usual manner. I know it seems rude, but it's obvious that I don't know him, so why pretend like I don't want him to know that.

"Patience Allie-gator. All will be revealed in time." She said, stealing a line from some movie that she loved watching.

"Don't call me that, I'm not reptilian. Also, I thought I told you, whenever you come over, don't waste our valuable oxygen on quoting bad movie lines. Oxygen isn't just something that floats around ya know." I said. One of the main reasons I loved for my aunt to come over was the fact that we always had at least one inside joke going on.

"Yes, yes, I remember now. I seem to have forgotten myself in my eagerness to be with my favorite family." Aunt Lia said with her fake accent.

"Ugh...I have just amended the rules, no bad movie lines, and no bad accents either." I said causing both of us to laugh.

"Okay Alanna, dear, where is everybody?" Aunt Lia asked after we had quit laughing.

"Oh, I should call for them. DAD, DORA, ROBERT SAMUEL PRICE!! AUNT LIA IS HERE!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. If they couldn't hear me, I had a couple of questions about their hearing. Well, my voice never fails me because a few minutes later Robby came running down the stairs; Dad and Dora behind him, but they were walking.

"Aunt Lia!" Robby yelled hugging her. He looked over her shoulder at the black haired man that stood there awkwardly, obvioulsy waiting to be introduced.

"Hey there Bob!" Aunt Lia said hugging him back. After receiving hugs from the rest of the family, she began chatting with Dora. That is until somebody behind her awkwardly cleared their throat, reminding her of their presence.

"Oh, right. Everybody, I would like you to meet Conner. Conner, this is my family. The woman with the short red hair is my sister-in-law, Dora. The man with the brown hair is my brother, James. The boy with the light brown hair is my nephew, Robert, you can just call him Robby or Sammy. And the lovely young lady standing over there with the red-brown hair is my niece, Alanna Leanne, just call her Allie-gator, 'cause it gets on her nerves, but if you really want to win her favor, just call her Alan." Aunt Lia said pointing to each of us as she said our names.

"Aunt Lia, not to be rude or anything, but what is so special about him that you're bringing him around all of us?" I said with all of the subtelty of a black stripe on a white board.

"Well, you see, we'll be getting married in about five months." Aunt Lia said. with a huge smile on her face. The whole family congratulated them and shook Conner's hand. Well everybody except me. I just stood there, mouth open, staring at my soon-to-be uncle. I did't want to seem rude, but honestly, I did not like the idea of my only aunt getting married. I didn't want to be selfish, so when Aunt Lia looked at me for approval, I smiled and walked over to her and gave her a hug. I knew that she would hate it if I were to tell her that I was upset about it, so I kept my mouth shut. Maybe Conner was actually a good guy that I would eventually end up loving as much as I did Aunt Lia.

I didn't say another word for the whole night, but honestly, nobody even noticed. Aunt Lia was too busy discussing wedding plans with Dora and Robby, Dad, and Conner were busy talking about something, I'm not really sure what and if I'm not even sure if I actually want to know what ti was. Well, I eventually went to bed, knowing that tomorrow night I would be up until around one the next morning, watching movies and spending time with the whole family.

I guess now would be a good time to explain about Family Movie Night. Family Movie Night was started when I was seven. It was originally invented in order to salvage my mom and dad's marriage. The idea was to strengthen our family by spending quality time together. It originally occured weekly, every Friday night in fact. It started out being a family thing, but after our parents split, it became a friend and family thing. Each of us was allowed to invite one friend. I would invite Charity Henderson or Vence Mitchell(my best guy friend), and Robby would invite Hayden Smith or Chase Henderson. Whenever I invited Charity, Robby invited Hayden and when Vence came over Chase came over. Dad never really invited anybody. Mom was always bringing a friend though.

Well, Family Movie Night has changed a little bit. Now it included Aunt Lia, and if you were in a relationship, if possible, the other half of the relationship was required to attend in place of your friend. So now, Aunt Lia and Conner, Dad and Dora, Robby and, this time, Chase, Mom, a.k.a Coach, and her current boyfriend, and Charity and me would be attending.

Well, I know this one probably wasn't as good as the last one, but hey, if they were all great that would make the story perfect, and nothing can be perfect. So tell me what you thought, if you would be so kind, and thanks again for reading!! :]
