Vampire Bond
Chapter Three: First Blood
The club was teeming with dancing men and women letting themselves go to the music. Pure freedom was all they knew. They never even paid any mind to the pair of men dressed in black and capes that had walked in through the front door and taken a seat at one of the outer tables.
Trinity was shaking with anticipation. The blood in the glass had been delicious; but it had also set off something in him that made him hunger for more, desire to sink his teeth into the neck of an unsuspecting victim and suck the life giving liquid right out of them.
Arcane, however, was much more level headed then Trinity was. He knew all the tricks, how to reel in the victim, how to swoon them, how to pleasure them until they tilt their head just so the nape of the neck was visible; and by then the pray is so lost in the moment that when he bites, the bite is more pleasurable then painful.
That was the trick and that was how he explained it to Trinity in the car on the way to the club.
Arcane glanced over at the black haired vampire next to him, the conversation in the car coming back to him now.
-In the car-
“We are going to what?” Trinity asked suspiciously from his spot in the passenger's seat, a brow raised in Arcane's direction.
“As I said,” Arcane said, irritated at his new partner already; had he not been driving, he would have smacked the son of a bitch. “We are going outhunting and I, your teacher, am going to teach you the correct way to hunt.”
Trinity had groaned and leaned back in his seat at the emphasis Arcane had put into the word correct.
“First, we choose our pray,” Arcane began his explanation. “In my case, a woman of wonderful stature.”
Trinity rolled his eyes.
“Second, we draw in our pray, make them want us,” Arcane said in a low tone. “As vampires, we are given a natural sex appeal that will never fail to entice our prey. Then, we give them a bit of what they desire.”
“You mean sex?” Trinity asked, interested now.
Arcane chuckled, “not actual sex; more along the lines of… great pleasure… without having to take our pants off.”
“So we can't have sex?” Trinity asked.
“We can, if we want to,” Arcane raised an eyebrow. “Why, is that important?”
“N-no, not really,” Trinity went to looking out the window.
“Like I was saying,” Arcane went back to his explanation. “We pleasure them until they tilt their heads slightly to the side, and then… we strike.”
“As easy as that?” Trinity asked skeptically. “Strange, I was expecting something a little… different.”
“This isn't Dracula,” Arcane huffed. “We don't fly in through windows or turn into bats, alright! …Although that turning into a bat thing would come in handy every once in a while. But yes, that's it. We just choose our girls, drink them dry, them leave.”
“Who said I was going to choose a girl?” Trinity said out loud to himself, even though he had meant to think it.
That had made Arcane pull the car over to the side of the road with a sickening screech and a jerk. Trinity had to secure his hands on the dashboard so that he didn't go through the windshield and died… again.
“What the hell are you trying to do?! Kill me!?” Trinity yelled then just shut his mouth, realizing that he just made himself sound like a complete idiot.
“What was that that you had said?” Arcane asked, looking into Trinity's eyes.
“You mean that thing about `who said I'd choose a girl'?” Trinity blinked.
“Yes,” Arcane said. “What did you mean by that?”
“You pulled us over, almost sending me through the windshield, for that!?” Trinity asked, exasperated. “You should know! You followed me around for who knows how long.”
Arcane bit his lip and Trinity immediately understood.
“You have got to be kidding me,” Trinity raised and eyebrow. “You saw me one night, and based on that one night decided to turn me into a vampire? Without actually finding out anything about me first and what you were getting yourself into?”
“You could say that,” Arcane said, turning back to the wheel and drove the car back onto the road.
“Well, here's one of the main things you should know about me, okay?” Trinity said, leaning close to Arcane's ear, feeling braver now that he had the upper hand in the conversation. “The truth is… I'm gay… got it? I do guys. I…”
“Alright, I get the point!” Arcane elbowed Trinity back into his own seat on his own side of the car. “Just stay over there.”
“Are you a homophobe?” Trinity asked curiously.
“NO!” Arcane shouted.
-The Bar-
I'm not a homophobe, Arcane thought as he glanced over a Trinity, who was presently eyeing a man sitting alone at the bar. I'm just… uncomfortable… around his kind of people. First thing's first, he's me student. Personal feelings can come later.
“Alright, now… hey, Trinity,” Arcane quickly realized that he didn't have Trinity's attention at all, the man at the bar did.
Trinity was staring, eyes glazed over at the form of the stranger, and the dark haired vampire's tongue darted out to lick at his dry lips. Arcane elbowed him in the side and he tried his hardest not the scream in pain.
“What the hell was that for?!” Trinity glared at the vampire sitting next to him.
“Pay attention!” Arcane hissed. “Now, do what you usually do. Just remember what you're after and get it before it's too late. Got it?”
“Yeah, yeah,” Trinity got up from the table and started towards the bar and the man sitting alone. “I'll drink all his blood, don't worry.”
Arcane sighed, rubbing his temples, but watched as Trinity asked the man if the seat next to him was taken and if he was alone. He had to admit, the kid was good at this, the wooing at least; in a least ten minutes, the new vampire was leading the unsuspecting victim up the stairs to one of the bars private rooms. Arcane had to whistle, it truly was impressive. But now he had time to find his prey.
-*-*-
It only took Arcane twenty minutes to get when he wanted and he was out waiting in the car for his partner to come back. Arcane liked to eat and run but it was obvious that Trinity was in no hurry. Unless…
Arcane sat up strait with the realization of what Trinity might be doing with his prey.
No wonder he was so interested when I said that we could have sex with our victims if we wanted to, Arcane thought, glancing out his window at the bar. I wonder… how is it done exactly?
Trinity came walking out of the bar alone, jacket slung over his shoulder, hair a mess; Infact, the way he was dressed was a mess. It was more than a little obvious that Trinity had had sex with that man, and when he entered the car, it was more than a little obvious that he had fed on him afterwards too.
“Did you have fun?” Arcane asked flatly, starting the car.
Trinity gave the vampire a content smile, looking into the others eyes, “yeah, I think I'll be able to handle living like this every night.”
Arcane gave him a wondering look, glancing at him up and down before turning his eyes forward to pull the car onto the road. Trinity looked away to smirk.
Trinity had seen that look before, on so many other people. Those people were usually straight who hear about him. First they wonder, then they get curious and start asking questions, last they want to know. And it when they want to know, their caught, and come to Trinity asking for a one night stand.
Arcane's next huh? This is going to be interesting. Trinity smiled absently, staring out his window at the slightly paling sky.
-*-*-
They arrived home before dawn, but only slightly. Arcane led the way inside but did not stop to talk.
He instead grabbed Trinity's upper arm and drug him to a door that Trinity had not noticed earlier. It was made of a very dark cherry wood and gave Trinity such a chill that he had never felt before.
“This is the coffin room,” Arcane said shortly, opening the door.
“The… what?” Trinity pulled his arm from Arcane's grasp, messaging the seemingly bruised places.
“It's a bedroom,” Arcane turned to Trinity, looking his partner straight in the eyes. “There are no windows, no places where light can seep through. Before now I've used this room all the time. But now that you're here, we'll have to circulate.”
“Okay… but what do I use when you're in there?” Trinity questioned, hands on his hips.
“Don't be stupid,” Arcane sighed. “That room you came out of earlier tonight is where we keep our usual coffins. When we exchange, we use those. Got it? Since it's your first night, you can use the coffin room then I'll take tomorrow.”
“Yeah,” Trinity looked into the dark room and entered slowly.
Arcane shook his head with a sigh and reached in, flipping a switch on the wall next to the door.
Trinity gasped with surprise as the overhead light turned on, illuminating the room.
And what a lavish room it was.
The bed was a large king size canopy that stood proudly against the far wall, draped with fine dark satins and large fluffy pillows of the same dark color. The carpeted floor was a dark blue and accented very well the red wood furniture; a desk, night stands, a dresser, and book shelves were set in proper places about the room. There was even a connected bathroom and a large closet connecting to the room.
One night, why don't I just live in here? Trinity thought as he went over to the bed, running his fingers along the soft fabric of the covers.
He immediately remembered that he was being watched, and said watcher was enjoying every minute of it by the looks of the small grin across his face.
Trinity turned back towards Arcane, who was now leaning against the doorframe.
“Care to come in and join me?” Trinity asked slyly, enjoying his newly found bravery that came with his new vampire self.
Arcane blinked, straightened himself, and huffed, “You wish, good night.”
He shut the door to the bedroom, leaving Trinity inside… alone.
Trinity sighed and scratched his head pitifully. What's his problem?
Trinity took his time washing up for bed, enjoying the coolness and the feel of the water on his new skin. He felt just as alive in that very moment as he had just a short while ago; taking that human's body and drinking that very body dry. Trinity could still taste that man on his lips, an exotic, exciting, sensual experience; and he couldn't wait to do the same thing again tomorrow night.
Trinity climbed into the bed naked, feeling the cool satin on every part of him, allowing the tick of the clock on the nearby table to lull him to sleep. And what a wonderful sleep it was, nothing like the nights he spent in his own bed back when……….. When what?
Trinity couldn't seem to remember now. The time when he was a mere human seemed like years behind him now, instead of just hours behind him.
