Chapter 5-The Broken Policy

 

Jorgen sat straight up in his chair as the bell sounded. He had just filed his customer report for Laura and was expecting another customer, but instead, he saw two white clouds in the shape of men. Of course, this was merely an illusion created by the government to protect the identity of the G-Men, but it still cast an eerie feeling across the room.

Jorgen saw that they were carrying, in their arms, the customer he had been expecting. Trying to keep his voice calm, he said, “What can I do for you, gentlemen?”

“Mr. Jorgen Vladimosk,” one said, “this man has confessed to using a `Memory Machine' on the premises. We have checked reports, and all evidence points to this being the truth.”

“In other words, Mr. Vladimosk,” the other man said, “you under arrest for use of an illegal item and medication.”

“Wait, wait!” Jorgen exclaimed. “I can help you find the people who use them! Names, addresses, phone numbers, everything! Juts, please, let me be!”

The G-Men looked at each other for a minute, and then said, “It's a deal.”

Jorgen sighed with relief and said, “Thank you. Here's a report book. Just take it and leave.”

“Excellent,” they said in unison. They observed the most recent log; Laura Cormena, 167 Morgan Apartments.
