Ouran High School Host Club Fan Fiction ❯ Haruhi and the unexpected proposals ❯ Chapter 1

It was a normal day for the Host Club. Kyouya has scheduled a meeting to decide on the months activities. The Host Club were sat around a large table in the apparently empty music room. Tamaki was making paper aeroplanes at one end, on the left side Hunny and Mori were discussing fighting techniques, on the right side Hikaru and Kaoru were thinking up opportunities to use their “brotherly love” technique. Kyouya was at the other end of the table, frantically scribbling in his notebook.
“Where could Haruhi be??” moaned Tamaki, throwing his paper aeroplane out of the window, “She’s been late every day this week!”
“I noticed.” Replied Kyouya, leafing through the pages in his book, “Later and later every day, it seems.”
“I wonder what’s wrong with Haru-chan!” piped Hunny. Just then, the doors opened and Haruhi stumbled in with a cry of;
“Sorry I’m late!”
“Haru-chan!!” yelled Hunny as he ran up to her and spun her around, “Why were you late?”
“I’m sorry, Hunny-sempai, I just lost track of time.”
“Shall we get on with the meeting?” sighed Kyouya.
Haruhi took a seat next to Hikaru.
“Item one on our agenda is-”started Kyouya before Tamaki zoomed into his chair and sat on hi, facing Haruhi.
“What kind of time do you think this is??? I’ve been worried sick!!! Why are you so late all of the time these days???”
“Tamaki-sempai calm down. I just forgot about the meeting and-”
“That’s not quite true though, is it Haruhi?” Asked Kyouya.
“Well…”
“Ooh has Haruhi been a bad girl?” chorused Hikaru and Kaoru.
“No I…”
“What’s wrong Haru-chan? Tell me! Tell me!” chimed Hunny.
“Yeah…” mumbled Mori.
“I was just…”
“Tell Daddy my precious little pumpkin!” chirped Tamaki.
“I thought you decided you weren’t my father, Tamaki-sempai!?”
“If it helps me to know what’s wrong then I can handle it…”
“ENOUGH!” boomed Kyouya, “There’s no point asking Haruhi, you know how stubborn she is,”
“Thanks…?” murmured Haruhi, not quite sure whether to feel insulted or rescued.
“anyway, I know what’s going on.”
“Why didn’t you say so???” quizzed Kaoru.
“Because it’s much more fun to watch you. But that isn’t the point. The point is, Haruhi, is in love!”
