it was near noon and in the middle of class when she noticed "hm? hey...hikaru. what's the matter with kaoru? he seems depressed somehow."asked haruhi looking to the boy sitting at her right. " i don't know....he gets that way when winter starts...when he started doing that it was 3 years ago...our first year in middle school." said hikaru looking at her "why does he get so depressed?" she asked " i don't know...the only thing i remember was those little brats coming to the house...that's all i remember about 3 years ago..."said hikaru " little brats...?"she asked looking up at him " yeah...kaoru had a girlfreind in middle school.......he has two kids living at our house..."said hikaru sighing and staring at the snow "really?"she asked "yeah....the two babies came to our house 3 years ago. kaoru brought them home. he was in tears and kept saying it's my fault...he looked mortified but when i went to help...he just told me to go away...so i left him alone and helped the maids with the kids...."said hikaru "who's the kids mother...?" she asked "hm? if i remember correctly....the mother of those babies was kaoru's girlfreind..."said hikaru looking at her "where is their mother...?" she asked "oh...her. i don't know.....the last time i saw her was about 8 months before the kids came to the house...she was in the hospital the whole time...."said hikaru "what was her name..?" she asked "wow...you ask alot of questions haruhi...where's it all coming from?"he asked "just curiosity" she said "oh...curious now are we?" he said smiling "yeah. what was her name..?" she asked "her name was keiko yamada....she used to come to this school in middle school...then it was like she vanished...she stoped coming...and i never saw her again..."he said. just as he finished talking the bell rang "oi...it's lunch time. haruhi...wanna come to the cafeteria with me?"asked hikaru standing up "sure....kaoru do you wanna come too?" she asked walking to kaoru "hm? go w...where?" he asked standing up "to the cafeteria..." she said " oh...ok,sure. sorry...i've been out of sorts lately...i've just had alot of things on my mind...."he said standing up and walking with them
