Chapter 16 Friend

Toji lay awake that night contemplating what to do with his situation. `She wouldn't go this far? Would she? Is she really pregnant? Is it mine? What should I do? What about Momo?' He wondered.

It had been driving him mad for what seemed like an eternity.

"Are you alright?" Momo asked while they were in class together.

"Fine. Why?" He seemed startled.

"You just seem out of it that's all." She said smiling.

Sae for once in her life felt vulnerable. She didn't know who to turn to or how Toji was taking this. If he even believed her. She felt in some ways like the boy who cried wolf. Now that she was telling the truth she was sure no one would believe her and she would be devoured by this.

She had not meant for this to happen. How could she have been so stupid. She only wanted to hurt Momo not ruin Her and Toji's life.

Toji had received a note from Sae instructing him to meet her by the pool later that day.

He complied.

He couldn't help but notice how vulnerable she seemed to be it made him uncomfortable.

"Well?" He said.

"I need to know what do you plan on doing?" She asked trying to sound cold.

"About?" He said sternly.

"The baby." She whispered.

"How do I know you aren't just trying to pull another one of your tricks on me?" He asked.

"I wouldn't…Not about this." She pleaded.

"Are you really pregnant?" He asked.

Sae looked him in the eyes he was thrown `are those real tears?' he thought.

She nodded her head. "Yes." she whispered.

Toji didn't know what else to do so he wrapped his arms around her small frame and held her.

They didn't notice Kiley standing not to far off in the distance watching them. His jaw was clear on the ground.

`Do I tell her or not?' Kiley wondered as he sat beside Momo on his bed.

`Better she find out from me than someone else.' he finally concluded.

"Hey Momo I think I need to tell you something." He said cautiously.

"Hmm…" She said not looking at him.

"Well I over heard Toji and Sae outside today and well you won't believe this but she says she is pregnant with his kid." He said trying to make it seem funny.

Momo looked at him startled. "Just another one of her tricks." She said in a dismissive tone.

Kiley dropped the subject.

Momo lay awake that night 'Kiley wouldn't have said anything about it if her didn't believe it. What if it's true?' she wondered as she fell asleep.

She decided she needed to talk to him so she invited him over after school.

"Is it true?" She asked.

"What?" he was frozen.

"Are you having a baby?" She said in a low voice.

He sighed. He didn't want to lie to her anymore. "I might be." he said.

"So you did… With her?" She asked.

"Yes." was all he could say.

"What are you going to do?" she asked him.

"I want to do what's right." He said.

"And what is that?" She asked.

"Well I guess marrying her and being a father." he sounded defeated.

She could see the hurt and pain in his face. Should she tell him he wasn't the only one at fault.

She was very calm. "I've been seeing someone else." she stated.

He looked at her surprised.

"I have been cheating on you for God only knows how long now." She said.

"With him?" he couldn't say his name.

"Yes. And I am sorry to hurt you." she said.

"I'm in no position to feel hurt. I'm sorry to." He said and smiled at her.

Momo walked to him and hugged him. "I wish you all the luck in the world. Be happy." She said.

He hugged her back. "I'd like to still be friends." he said.

"Me to." she said.

Kiley had come over later that evening. Momo was in an odd mood. She seemed sad and detached.

"You ok?" he asked.

"Yeah just letting go of a little part of me." she said.

He was puzzled. "Huh?"

"You know the only reason it was so hard to break up with Toji was he was my first love. A part of my past and my childhood. With you… You are a love beyond a first puppy love crush. You have made me a woman. And I see myself being an adult with you. That scared me. I wasn't ready to let go of the child in me yet." She said as a tear ran down her cheek.

"Are you ready now?" He asked.

"Yes." She replied leaning in to kiss him.

Their kisses became passionate and their hands started to wander over each other's body. Clothing was being removed and tossed aside.

Kiley lay her down on the bed and took her in the most gentle fashion. There was nothing rough or erotic about this encounter. They just wanted to be as close to each other as two people could be. They were now complete and it was a beautiful thing.

Slowly he rocked into her. Gently he kissed her. Softly she moaned into his mouth. And for once she kept her eyes open as did he. She looked into his deep eyes and saw forever. She loved him more than words could ever express. She could only express this wordlessly with her body.

Toji knocked on Sae's door and she let him in. He took a deep breath and knelt down on one knee. He pulled a box out of his pocket and opened it to show her an amazing diamond ring.

"I promise to be a good man and a good father. In time I hope to love you. Will you do me the honor of being my wife?" He asked.

Sae was taken aback. She didn't know what to think but "Yes." came out of her mouth.

She would be a changed person for him and their baby. She would honestly make him fall in love with her. A million worries left her. She wouldn't be alone anymore.
