Chapter 5

"Poor thing she must really be tired from her day at school." Victoria said walking up to D and Leon once they walked into the house. "Could you take her for me Victoria?" D asked. "Sure, come here Leonona." Victoria said walking over to the couch and sitting down with Leonona in her arms began to gently hum a small tune to herself. "That's a nice song." Leon said sitting down next to Victoria. "Mother always sung it to me when I was little." Victoria said. "Uh huh." Leon said. "Anyway how was her first day of school?" Victoria asked. "Her teacher says she nice to have around the class, she's got a friend now to." Leon said gently stroking his daughter's hair. "Leonona's a timid child I can tell by the way she speaks." Victoria said. "That's what her teacher says and D and I don't know why." Leon said. "Perhaps Aniou can help us." Victoria said.

"Oh Leon your back I didn't hear you and my brother come in." Nyu said setting down a tray of treats. "Is it tea time already?" D asked walking downstairs with White Fang and Aniou. "Guess so, Leonona sweetie time to wake up." Victoria said gently as Leonona opened her eyes and let out a small yawn.

"Did you have a nice nap?" D asked taking his daughter from Victoria and sitting down next to Victoria set Leonona in his lap. "Yep, mommy I made a friend in school today." Leonona said timidly rubbing her eyes. What is this friend's name Child of Darkness? Aniou asked. "Her name's Arlene and she's very nice." Leonona said. "Daddy can I bring Aniou to school tomorrow?" Leonona asked. "I don't see a problem with it but ask Victoria first." Leon said. "May I Victoria?" Leonona asked.

"Of course you may little one but you must promise me that you will take good care of her tomorrow." Victoria said looking at Leonona. "I promise." Leonona said. "Alright then, you can take her to school tomorrow. Would you like to go to the park and play for a while?" Victoria asked. "Yeah." Leonona said. "D I'm going to take Leonona to the park for a while alright? You want to come Nyu?" Victoria asked.

"Come with us Auntie Nyu." Leonona said excitedly. "I suppose I could use the fresh air." Nyu said. "And the sun you look paler than D does?" Leon said in a joking manner. "That wasn't funny Leon." D saif knocking Leon upside his head leaving a big bump on his head. "Ow you don't have to hit so hard." Leon yelled.

"Leon please you'll scare Leonona." Nyu said. "Nah she's an Orcot she's not afraid of anything are ya?" Leon asked. "Uh-uh, does it hurt daddy?" Leonona asked touching the bump on her fathers head. "Only a little daddy has a hard head." Leon said.

"Your not lying about that, that you aren't" Victoria said leaving with Nyu and Leonona to go down to the park. "Why is it that they always leave us alone?" Leon asked running his fingers through his blond mane. "Maybe it's a girls day out." D replied sipping his tea. "Then you should be with them." Leon said as D smacked him upside the head and another bump formed on his head. "OWWWWW!" Leon yelled.

Meanwhile at the park: "Wheee higher auntie higher." Leonona squealed as Nyu pushed the swing Leonona was on. "You like to go high don't you?" Nyu asked pushing Leonona. "Yep going high is fun." Leonona said. "I bet. Come on now let's go play on the slide." Nyu said stopping the swing and helping Leonona off the swing walked with her over to the slide where Leonona slid for a while. It wasn't until the sun started to set that the three girls started on their way back home when Leonona and Nyu started a small conversation. "Auntie are you ever going to have a baby?" Leonona asked.

"No little one I don't think I want a baby." Nyu said. "How come you like playing with me don't you?" Leonona asked pouting. "Of course I like playing with you, the only reason I don't want to have a baby is because I'm afraid I won't be a good mother to it that's why I don't want a baby." Nyu said. "But 'ou 'ever know till to 'ou twy." Leonona said. "I guess your right but who would want a girl like me?" Nyu asked sadly small tears falling from her eyes. "Nyu don't cry I'm sure there are men out there that would be glad to have you as their mate." Victoria said. "I guess." Nyu said.

"Come on let's go inside." Victoria said opening the door and closing it once the girls were inside the house. "Mommy, daddy." Leonona said running into the living room. "Hmm Leonona how was it at the park?" D asked walking up to his daughter. "Up." Leonona said reaching up to D. "Of course." D said picking up Leonona. "How was it at the park?" D asked. "It was fun Auntie Nyu pushed me on the swing and I went really high, then I got to go on the slide." Leonona said. "Looks like you had a fun time, come on now it's time for your bath, then bedtime ok?" D asked.

"Can I have a snack before bed mommy?" Leonona asked. "No snack sweetie but I'll tell you a story instead how's that?" D asked. "Otay." Leonona said. "That's my girl, come on let's go." D said walking up the stairs and into the bathroom where Leonona's bath toys and towels were layed out. "I'm going to set you down on the counter for a while." D said walking over to the sink and setting Leonona down walked over to the tub and began to fill it with warm water. Leonona looked over at her toys and picked up a yellow duck toy and started to chew on it making it squeak.

"Aww what's the matter sweetie your mouth hurt?" D asked turning off the water and walking back over to Leonona began to unbutton her clothes. Leonona nodded her head in answer to D's question and started chewing on the duck toy again.

"Come on." D said picking Leonona up and walking back over to the tub set her in the tub gently and began to wash her. "Mommy my mouth hurts." Leonona said biting on the duck. "I know sweetheart I'll give you something before you go to bed." D said taking a bottle of shampoo and squeezing some of it in his hand began to wash Leonona's hair. "Thank 'ou mommy." Leonona said. "Close your eyes baby girl so I can rinse your hair out." D said filling a cup with water and when Leonona closed her eyes he poured the water over her head making sure to get all the shampoo out. After D got done washing Leonona's hair he took a damp cloth and gently washed Leonona's face.

"Come on now bath time is over." D said pulling the plug inside the tub as he picked up Leonona and the two watched the water go down the drain. "Let's get you dressed then I'll tell you a bedtime story ok?" D asked drying Leonona off and dressing her in a white cotton Kimono picked her up and carried her into her room.

"What story would you like to hear my little swan?" D asked once he placed Leonona in bed. "How Auntie Victoria started working for you." Leonona said. "Alright lay down sweetie." D said as Leonona layed down and sunggled into her blankets. "Let's see it was a long time ago five months to be exact before you were born, your father had just left my petshop and I closed it for the night.

***Flashback***

"I really need to go get some more food for the animals. Q-chan I need to go out for a while watch the shop for me." D said grabbing his cloak and walking out of the door and across the street to a nearby store. "Ah Count D good evening." A young woman said. "Hello Gwendolynn I need to pick up some more things for my pets." D said. "Well then come this way I have what you need already made." Gwendolynn said.

"Wonderful." D said clapping his hands together. "Here you go tell your pets I said hello." Gwendolynn said watching as D walked out of the shop. "I will." D said shutting the door to the shop as it began to rain. "Oh dear it's raining again." D said putting up his umbrella and began walking back to the petshop.

While walking back to the petshop D was passing by an alleyway when he heard noises. "I wonder." D said and walked into the alley where a girl with black hair was sitting. "Mm who are you?" The girl said looking up at D. "I could ask you the same question." D said back. "The names Victoria." Victoria said blinking her blue eyes.

"I'm Count D but you may me D." D said looking at Victoria. "The owner of that petshop?" Victoria asked. "Yes, why don't you come with me it's much warmer and dryer than it is out here." D said holding the umbrella over Victoria. "Sure I could use a place to stay." Victoria said getting up off of the ground and following D back to the petshop where her future home and job awaited her.

***Flashback end***

"And that's how Victoria came to work for me." D said looking down at Leonona who was sleeping peacefully. Before leaving Leonona's room D got a small tube of gel and put some on Leonona's gums to make her mouth stop hurting. Once he had done that D quietly walked out of the room and gently shut the door and walked down to the living room where Leon was sitting on the couch watching TV drinking a can of soda.

"She asleep?" Leon asked as D walked over to him and Leon pulled D down onto his lap and began to rub his thighs. "Don't worry she's asleep Leon I'm worried." D said shifting his body to a more comfortable position. "Why is that baby?" Leon asked grinning when he heard D moan. "Leonona says her mouth hurts and she was chewing on one of her bath toys today." D said. "Don't worry D she's probably just teething that's all we'll give her some applesauce for a snack tomorrow." Leon said kissing D on the lips. "Mmm, Leon." D said softly. "Mm?" Leon asked looking at D.

"Please take me." D said as Leon shifted D's body and and began to stroke certain spots on D's body making him moan out in pleasure. "Leon so good." D moaned. "Don't tense up okay this is going to hurt for a while." Leon said sticking a finger in D's entrance. "Mmm, ahh." D moaned softly. "I know D it'll be over soon I promise." Leon said inserting a second finger and then a third. "Leon?" D asked feeling Leon lift him of his lap and lay him on the couch. "Your beautiful you know that?" Leon asked kissing D.

Meanwhile in Leonona's room Leonona was sleeping peacefully when she suddenly started to toss and turn under her covers.

***Dream***

"Mommy, daddy ?" Leonona asked running up to her parents only to have them push her away. "Mommy?" Leonona asked looking up at D. "You're a little pest you know that I don't even know why I had you, you only get in my way." D said.

"I agree life for us was just well and good until you came along, you always want to be around us and never give us time to ourselves neither D nor I ever wanted you in the first place your nothing but a burden to us, so just go away and leave us alone!" Leon shouted as he and D disappeared into the darkness. "Mommy daddy don't go!" Leonona yelled and started running after her mother and father only to find she was surrounded in darkness and all alone. "Mommy daddy." Leonona cried tears falling from her eyes.

**Dream End***

"Mommy, daddy please don't go!" Leonona yelled sitting up in her bed tears falling from her eyes. "Leonona, Leonona! Sweetie are you okay, we heard you scream and though something was wrong." D said sitting on Leonona's bed and pulling her into his arms gently rocked her. "I had a bad dream mommy, you and daddy said you didn't want me anymore and that I was a pest." Leonona cried.

"Leonona your mother and I would never say anything like that to you." Leon said sitting down beside D and taking Leonona from D and setting her in his lap gently stroked her black and blond hair. "Promise." Leonona asked. "Yes." Leon said putting Leonona back in bed and pulling the sheets back over her kissed her on the forehead and left the room with D. "Daddy." Leonona said softly. "Yeah." Leon replied. "Can I sweep wif ou' an mommy?" Leonona asked. "Your still a bit afraid from that dream huh?" Leon asked walking back over to Leonona. Leonona nodded her head and Leon picked her up.

"Alright you can sleep with us but just this once okay." Leon asked kissing Leononaon the forehead and walking out of her room walked into the next room where D was already laying up against the headboard of the bed and munching on a late night snack. "You sure your not having another baby darling?" Leon asked.

"Of course not my dear Leon, and why is Leonona in your arms?" D asked looking at Leon with his bi-colored eyes and crossing his arms over his chest waited for Leon's answer. "Leonona's still a bit scared from her dream so I told her she could sleep with us." Leon said walking over to the bed and setting Leonona between him and D layed down in bed. "Please mommy?" Leonona asked. "Alright you can sleep with us but don't kick your feet alright?" D asked laying down in bed. "Ok mommy." Leonona said and snuggled close to her father and soon fell asleep next to her parents.
