Hurricane
The following is a record of what happened in distant space in the
course of three days.
Stage 0
Nothing out of the ordinary. Just quiet. Classes went on as usual.
The fights were on patrol. I think there were supposed to be
midterms today. There have been strange reports out in space over
the past few days. Nothing major, really. It's so far out there
that it won't even draw much attention. But some of the teachers
know that something isn't right. Because of this, they have to keep
watch on the outside. Something could snap at any time.
Everything had been so quiet. Maybe too quiet.
Stage 1
It started with static on the radio. No one could reach anyone. The
pilots tried to contact the teachers but nothing got through.
“Hello? Hello?” Teela asked. She never could get through.
It wasn't just the goddesses either.
No one could reach from the outside. The gravity and power started
to fluctuate. Why did the rooms feel so cold? Zero winced as a
high-pitched sound ripped through the air. He clenched his teeth
and rubbed his right ear.
“What is that?” he asked. Everyone else started to wonder the same
thing. Even the teachers didn't know what was going on. Some
started to feel the effects worse than others. Nose bleeds,
headaches, dizziness, and lose of time. Zero felt it the worst.
A storm rolled in. Yes, there was a storm in space. It didn't make
sense to the experts at first. Everything had been so clear on the
radar. It had been quiet for the most part until tonight.
First came the static. The radar and tracking didn't take long to
go higher. Communication dropped. Time seemed to stop around the
students and teachers. High-pitched frequency whistle ripped
through the air. But something was different about this sound.
Zero's head began to ache as his body became light.
Then the visions came.
