“I'm sorry.” He said. He held out the bouquet of flowers, but she just slapped his hand away.
“You break my heart and you think a crappy bunch of flowers will make me forgive you? No way!”

Ash changed the channel, feeling slightly uncomfortable. The boy hero in the soap opera reminded him too much of himself, and the girl vaguely resembled Misty. That also made him uncomfortable! He watched as the commercial for Antidotes ended, only for a familiar face to come on screen.
Hey, that was Lance!
The Dragon Master's voice was soothing, and Ash vaguely listened - Lance was talking about pokemon conservation, which Ash wholeheartedly agreed with. After all, if they kept pokemon habitats clean, than the pokemon would continue to live there and their economy wouldn't crumble. Actually, Ash just thought littering was impolite.
He yawned, before he switched the channel again, winding up with several scantily clad girls singing a love song. He blushed and quickly changed the channel again.
Maybe he was a coward, hiding here at home. Everyone thought he was traveling in the new region, Shinou or something, but in actuality, Ash was too shaken after his defeat at Gary's hands to try again.
Perhaps he should apologize, but that would mean admitting his deception, and Ash wasn't comfortable with that yet.
Still, he couldn't help but feel guilty.
I'm sorry, everyone… I'm not cut out to become a Pokemon Master after all…

Sometimes the time limit grates me, especially if I have to look up pokemon data in a pokedex or something…
