Prologue

The noise was deafening. A loud siren emitted nearby. A police car, an ambulance and a fire truck parked on a main street blocking the flow of traffic. A few block away, people started to evacuate the building safely. There was a fire inside an condominium building and firefighters fought their way into the maddening flames. The paramedics were on alert trying to revive the unconscious victim on the ground. The policeman interviewed every passerby on the scene. Onlookers watched in stunned disbelief to see another tragedy unfold in the district of Tokyo.

"How do I look?" The conceited reported asked, looking right through the rear view mirror. He loosened his tie and combed through his sandy blond hair.

His co-worker sighed and shook his sadly. "You look fine as always!" He snapped. "Can we please get back to business? We have a story to cover!" He hastily opened the news van and took out the TV camera to set up.

A few minutes passed and then he answered. "Okay" He did a thorough check on the equipment. He signaled to stand by and counted backwards. "5, 4, 3, 2, 1 . . . You're on!" He yelled. The videographer quietly stood back in the background with the camera on his shoulder. The camera began taping the live sequence.

With the microphone on his hand, the reporter gave one of his best smiles and his eyes were on the camera. "Hi this is Mike Ellis from Informer News reporting live in Central Tokyo." His firm tone dropped to sorrow regret. "Panic citizens made a desperate call to police this morning after hearing an explosive in one of the high-rise buildings. The police and the emergency crew arrived too late when a fire broke out in the second floor condominium building. There were a few minor injuries reported but an unconscious toddler had been the unfortunate victim in this terrible tragedy. Eyewitnesses claimed there had been a fight erupted between the elusive sailor scouts and a fearsome creature. As the result of their heroic efforts, innocent lives were endangered. Police dismissed these absurd claims nothing but a mere hoax. They believed this incident was caused by a gang-related problem growing in Tokyo…"

To be continued. Please stay tuned for Act 1.

PS: Like it or hate it? This is too short. Please send your comments in the review or email. I hope you're not too disappointed with the plot less story. Truthfully, I don't know how this story will turned up. But hopefully, ideas will develop soon.
