Ch.1- A New Beginning
As Ash Ketchum walks down the path to the Elite Four, he is filled with an intense burst
of adreneline, and he can't wait for the upcomming battle.
He walks down a brick walkway and jumps when a door he didn't see slams shut behind him
...BANG!!!!!!! A brawny man steps out and Ash knows that it can only be Bruno, the first of the
Elite Four.
Bruno: I have heard many things about you young trainer...
Ash: Likewise, Bruno.
Bruno: We'll see if you talk so cool when I beat your pokemon to a bloody pulp.
Ash: GO POKEBALL!!
Ash's pokeball flies onto the field and explodes as out pops......
BEEEEEEEEP! BEEEEEEEEP! BEEEEEEEEP! BEEEEEEEEP! BEEEEEEEEP! BEEEEEEEEP! BEEEEEEEEP! BEEEEEEEEP!
Ash jerked awake looking at his clock. As the clock came into view, he wondered if he would
ever make it that far until...
Ash: 8:47?!?!?! How can that be?!?!?!?! I SET THE ALARM FOR 7:30!!!!
Somehow he managed to get dressed and showered in time to make it out the door by 9:03.
He ran down the street to Prof. Oak's lab and was relieved to see the Proffesser still there.
Prof. Oak: Ahh, Ash! I assume you are here to recieve your pokemon?
Ash: Yes sir, I'm so glad I'm not...
Oak:Too late.
At this Ash's jaw drops open and his stomach drops lower than it was.
Ash: Huh? What do you mean too late?? I can't be too late!! Noooo! I'll never get a pokemon now...
Oak: Well, there is one, but..
Ash: ILL TAKE IT!!!
Oak: well, ok. But I must warn you, it's not quite what you would call, tame.
Ash is then led into the lab and through many rooms with hundreds of gadgets and pokeballs
and other types of things you would expect a proffessor to have. Ash looked on one shelf and saw
potions, antidotes, and many other pokemon remedies.
Oak: Here it is, but be careful...
He holds out a pokeball which Ash happily accepts and immediately(to Prof. Oak's dismay)
throws to the ground. It opens and out comes...
Pikachu: PIKA-CHUUUUUUUUU
On CHUUUUUUUUU, it releases a bolt of electricity onto the prof. and Ash causing them
to fall to the floor, quite crisped.
Ash: ouch... (hops to his feet) Hi Pikachu! I'm your new trainer!
Pikachu: chu (turns and starts examining the shelves, completely ignoring Ash)
Oak: See, I told you.
Ash: Pikachu, return! (throws down pokeball)
Pikachu: CHUUUUU!! (wacks it with it's tail causing it to hit Ash in the face.)
Oak: here, take this(hands Ash a Pokedex) and get out before it causes any more damage!
***Author's note: I know this doesn't all happen in the TV show, but I decided to shorten it up
a bit and add some stuff. After this point it will not go like the TV show.
End Author's Note***
As Ash walked out of the lab, he was greeted by his mother.
Mom: here Ash, (hands him rubber gloves) they may come in useful if...(looks at Pikachu) What
is this wierd looking creature.
Ash: No Mom!
Pikachu: (pissed because Ash's mom called him wierd-looking) CHUUUU!!!(shocks everyone, including
Prof. Oak who is by now, cooked to tender juicy goodness)
Ash's Mom:(laying on the ground, crispy) Goodbye dear.
And with that, Ash set off on the road towards Veridian city.
1 hour later.....
Having no success with Pikachu so far, Ash tied a rope around it and is wearing the
rubber gloves for protection. As they pass a river and a small grove of trees, Pikachu grabbed onto
a rock and clung to it stubbornly as Ash tried to pull it off.
Ash: FINE!! Just stay there then!(removes leash) Go Ahead, see if I care!!
Pikachu:(runs up a tree) Pika-chu! Pika Pika Chuuuuu!
Ash sees that his luck is still getting worse, as a storm gathers overhead. A strong wind
blows causing the trees to shake.
Ash: Pikachu, please come down... please?
Pikachu:(grabs a stick and throws it at Ash, and laughs hysterically when it hits him in the face)
Ash: Fine!(grabs a rock and throws it at the tree)
Pikachu dodged the rock, and falls off the tree. Ash dives to catch him not knowing the rock
he threw hit a fearow in the tree....
Ash: Pikachu! (Ash dives to catch him and does, barely)
Ash notices that Pikachu seems weakened by the trip and holds it to his body, just as a
spearow plows into the back of his head causing black roses to appear in his vision.
Ash:oww...
He looked around and then dodged two spearows causing them to collide. He held Pikachu closer
and ran, not looking back. It began to rain, and Ash heard the not-so-distant rumble of thunder.
'If I can just make it to the veridian pokemon center' he thought to himself... just as a spearow
raked his left arm with its tallons ripping his shirt, and drawing a fair amount of blood from his arm.
As he hesitated, another spearow plowed into his back, and another into his forehead, ripping
a line into his face, and sending Pikachu sprawling.
Ash: Pikachu!!
Ash looked up to see a fearow circling overhead. 'So, my journey is over before it even begins...'
he thought as the fearow began it's descent. 300 feat.. 250 feet... 200.. 100.. 50..
Just then a jet of water knocked the fearow off course, sending it head first into the ground.
Pikachu: ka... pi... pi.. Ka... CHUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!
Pikachu released a huge bolt of electricity, which powered by the storm, knocked half of
the spearow to the ground. The other half, he could see were being knocked out by jets of water,
but in his dazed state, he couldn't find the source. He crawled towards Pikachu and collapsed with
his arms cradling it. All that mattered now was the deep black of unconsiousness that was taking
over his mind.....
