Jesse's savior would never know how close he came to death that night as Ash watched the cars retreating tale lights from the kitchen window. All the while he wondered why the stranger hadn't used the phone that was hanging on the wall beside him.

`God let her live. Please god let her live.' He pleaded to whoever might be listening and happened to have the power to save his young and broken charge. It had been several minutes since she had stopped moaning but he couldn't be sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. She was still pale and her head rolled lazily with the car's movement. His foot pressed harder on the gas pedal as his eyes strained to pierce the darkness ahead. His headlights flashed over the Pokemon center and the police station as he raced towards the small town's only hospital.

He breathed easier when a familiar white building appeared with its comforting red cross glowing gently in the night. He double parked right in front of the emergency room and leapt from the car. Tearing open the car door he leaned in to check on his wounded passenger. She didn't look good, the blanket was dripping wet where her legs met her body; the eyes were glassy and staring. He reached in and lifted her out of the car and was scared out of his mind when she weighed even less than she had 15 minutes ago.

He carried her into the emergency room shouting the only thing he wanted, needed, or desired; "Help! Help! You have to help me!!!"

The staff, too their credit responded quickly and professionally, asked how long had she been bleeding, what happened, when it had happened, and who was she. He had no answers for them and the questions only continued when the blanket was removed and the doctors rolled her into the ER.

He waited for what seemed like hours but it was only a few minutes when he checked his watch. Tears brimmed at his eyes when he noticed that blood, her blood, covered the up to the wrists and forearms. He couldn't begin imagine what it had been like for her. How long had she held out? How long had she waited for rescue, before he showed up. She was so young. So young, maybe seventeen or eighteen and now her innocence was gone torn away from her in a single act of violence by someone she didn't know. Would she ever be able to live without fear again? Would she live in the first place? All of these questions reeled around his head in a never ending circle. Until.

"You're the one who brought in the rape victim." It wasn't a question. A female voice that resonated authority called him back to reality. When he looked he was confronted with the site of Officer Jenny the small town's whole police force. "I have a few questions to ask you." She said neutrally, he remembered that at one point she had been a big city cop until she decided to take the job here. He could tell she had seen rape cases before and was glad that she wasn't in over her head.

"Go ahead, but I can't tell you much," he said tiredly.

"First off what is your name for the record?"

"Bernard Tobaiyashi. What record?" he asked confused by her official tone.

"And where did you find the victim?" she continued seemingly not noticing his question.

"In my house," he responded automatically.

"Ok, where in your house and at exactly what time was this?"

"In my bedroom. About thirty minutes ago, why?" he asked feeling rather uneasy about how this was going.

"Alright and who is the victim?" Officer Jenny kept going in her neutral and official tone.

"I don't know. Am I in some sort of trouble here?" he queried giving voice to the fear beginning to grow in his stomach.

"No, not yet; now is there anyone who can vouch for your whereabouts this evening?" she asked evenly.

The fear in his stomach was forgotten, it had replaced with a cold fury that suffused every fiber of his being, "If you are suggesting that I did this you are wrong. I don't know what kind of animal did that to her but I can assure you that it wasn't me. Now if you will excuse me I don't appreciate being accused of rape." He said this in low, cold growl that sounded nothing like him.

Jenny took an involuntary step back from Bernard. She had first taken him for a twenty year old dead end job loser and closet S&M freak that had gotten desperate and forced himself on someone. Now he stood in front of her, with his back straight, his hands shaking with barely contained rage, and eyes showing revulsion and anger at her unspoken accusation. As he walked away she knew that whoever this guy was he wasn't a rapist and he wasn't as meek as he seemed. With her only witness a little less than receptive she decided to see the victim and survey the damage.

The doctors weren't finished working on her but they did allow Jenny into the room wearing green hospital scrubs. The doctors had also told her that it was bad but she hadn't been prepared for this, the bruises on her face were now black and stood out in stark relief against her pale skin. Her stomach and groin were blue and purple where she had obviously been beaten, her breasts were marred with blue finger prints and the teeth marks had yet to fade from the nipples. Bernard was right what ever did this couldn't have been human, whatever did this had enjoyed it and was going to do it again. Seeing all the people gathered around the young girl, fear and determination in their eyes, giving her blood, doing what they could for her bruises, and working furiously to stem the blood flowing from between her legs. Jenny's stomach rolled and she left the room breathing heavily, a cold sweat on her brow.

She went to the cafeteria looking for something to settle her stomach and found Bernard sitting alone at a table staring at his untouched bagel, the cream cheese lying unopened on the plate.

"May I sit down?" Jenny asked with less self-assurance than she would have liked to admit. Bernard looked right into her eyes and she saw just how badly this was eating at him.

"Sure just as long as you don't accuse me of murder or treason." He said coldly.

"I deserved that," she admitted "but I do need to ask you a few more questions."

He sighed and looked at her for a long moment deciding whether or not to cooperate. Finally he said, "Go ahead."

"First off I would like to say I believe you." At this he just kept staring at her but she continued, "I need to know exactly what happened tonight."

"Well I got home at about 8:30 and noticed my front door was open. I thought that it was probably just some kids who broke in looking for money and jewelry. I searched for anything missing but only my curtains and a chair from the den was missing. That was when I heard a noise."

"What kind of noise?" Jenny interrupted.

"I don't know just some kind of noise that wasn't the house shifting or the wind. I grabbed my baseball trophy in case I wasn't alone and went to see what it was. The noise had either come from the bedroom or the kitchen but I couldn't tell which. I checked the bedroom first and found her tied to my bed. There was blood everywhere, she was awake, I tried to call for an ambulance but she didn't want to be left alone and I hadn't paid my phone bill anyway. So I freed her, rapped her in a blanket, and rushed her here."

"So you didn't search the rest of the house?"

"No, I was too worried about her to give a damn about my house. It's probably open as we speak."

"Can you be sure that you and the girl were the only ones in house?"

"No, but if someone was there how did I get out of there without him trying to stop me. Besides if we weren't alone whoever was there has had an hour and a half to get out of there by now."

"Ok. Where is your house?" she asked a little disappointedly, "I'd like to have a look around if that's all right with you?"

Bernard told her it was alright and gave her the address then Jenny thanked him for his help and left the hospital.

Jenny arrived at Bernard's house twenty minutes later. She got off her motorcycle and surveyed the scene. It was a quiet little street with back yards that ended at the forest that surrounded the whole area. Across the street she saw a middle aged couple relaxing on a couch, watching TV in front of a large window. Every other home was dark, apparently this neighborhood went to bed early. She noticed that the front door was closed but didn't agonize over it; he had had other things to worry about and probably forgot he shut it. She unbuttoned the snap on her side arm, just in case, as she opened the front door and entered the crime scene. She made a cursory inspection of the front rooms but what she was truly interested in was the bedroom. She walked confidently past the den and toward the bedroom.

Jenny didn't notice the stranger quietly slip out of the den and stalk after her. She stood in front of the bedroom door, puzzled as to why it was shut and why there were no lights coming from underneath the door.

"Ah Officer Jenny it is a pleasure to see you," a cold voice purred from behind her. Jenny's reaction time was something to be proud of; in one fluid motion she spun, dropped to her knee and brought up her gun. Unfortunately, her hands came up empty and she was staring down the barrel of her own service revolver.

"Well that's embarrassing." Ash Ketchum said smiling evilly.

"How? What? You?" Jenny asked in complete disarray. Her cousins had all told her about Ash, mainly because if he showed up team rocket followed but also because he was a talented Pokemon trainer who was more than willing to help. Yet, here he was pointing her own gun at her with a hand that was far to steady for comfort. Though there was no blood on him or his clothes she knew he had brutally raped that poor girl and now he was going to shoot her.

"Put on your hand cuffs. Behind your back please," he said stopping her from securing her other wrist in front of her. "Don't bother getting up I think what will come next is better served with you on your knees."

"Fuck you," Jenny said coldly as she understood what he was planning on.

"Oh there is time for that later my dear. But right now I want to stick my dick in your mouth."

"Do it and I'll remove it for you!" she half shouted fear and panic beginning to take hold. This was too horrible to believe he wasn't insane; he knew what he was doing and he was enjoying it. He didn't think he was god or that women were evil and needed to be beat down, he simply got off on human suffering at its worst.

"Well then maybe I should just shoot you and move on then." Ash said as he brought the gun level with her forehead. Jenny closed her eyes and waited for the inevitable, knowing that soon a bullet would enter her skull and rampage through the soft gray material that was her brain. "But it would be such a waste to kill one of this towns few attractive women. Well at least to kill you without using you first."

"Shoot me because I swear to god I'll kill you if come any where near me." She screamed defiantly.

"You know what? I believe you would actually try and do just that. Don't worry about it though I'm going to make you want it. In fact you're going to beg me for it." Ash said slowly as a truly evil grin spread across his face. With that said Ash lifted the hat off her head and viciously clubbed her over the head with the gun. "I'll be right back."

Stars exploded in front of her eyes and then nothing but darkness as she slipped into unconsciousness.

Ryoko Tanaka sat on her couch in front of the TV, her husband's arm wrapped warmly around her shoulders. They had been sitting there comfortably for the past hour; neither wanting to do anything but relax while enjoying the closeness they both felt for one another. Their intimacy was interrupted, however, when there was a knock at the front door. She rose and went to the door, her husband automatically getting to his feet so he could stand at her side. She took a brief moment to marvel at how lucky she was; her dear Yoshi always there for her, even when it didn't matter. Ryoko opened the door to find a young boy, maybe thirteen, wearing blue jeans, a black t-shirt, and a smile.

Still wearing the same smile, the boy brought his hands from behind his back and pointed a gun at Ryoko and her husband.

"May I come in?" Ash asked politely. Ryoko just stood there awash in complete unreality, as the stranger with the gun easily side stepped her and walked into her living room. "You can shut the door." Her uninvited guest said all pretense aside, his voice cold, the smile gone.

"What is this, some kind of joke?" Yoshi said as he used his impressive height to tower over the gunman. The boy stood there for a long moment sizing up Yoshi and his wife. With nod that meant something only to him he cast his eyes around the room ignoring the two people standing in front of him. He smiled again as his gaze swept past the photos of, the Tanaka's biological twin daughters, Riku and Sakura. His eyes surveyed the home for a moment more before coming to rest back on Yoshi.

Finally after a few more tense moments the stranger spoke again. "Well this is a joke but unfortunately you won't get it." Ash said as he tossed a couch pillow to the man, who caught on reflex, he then rammed the gun barrel into the soft fabric and squeezed the trigger. "Huh?" was all Ash said when the gun refused to discharge its deadly metal into his victim's intestines. He took two steps back from Yoshi and examined the weapon while his hosts looked on in bewilderment.

"Look I don't know what the fuck you're doing here but you can sure as …" that's as far as Yoshi got because it was at that time the young man raised the gun, aimed at his forehead and fired. This time the gun did discharge, with a sharp crack that stung everyone's ears the gun belched flames and the back of Yoshi's head exploded. He fell with a blank, stunned look on his face the wall behind him painted red with his gore.

"The safety was on," Ash said bemusedly to the now Miss Tanaka as he examined the gun, a funny little smile pulling his lips away from the teeth.

Ryoko shrank from her former husband and his murderer, horror, panic, grief, anger, and fear vied for prominence within her mind; the scream she hadn't known she was holding back building inside her throat.

"Shut your mouth and take twenty deep breaths through your nose." Ash commanded from across the room. While the woman was mastering herself in the corner he wasted no time in covering the fresh corpse that had been Yoshi Tanaka with a blanket that was lying on the couch. Now that the only thing within sight was the rather grisly new wallpaper, Ash stepped over the dead man's leg and walked over to the calming woman. "Now wake up your daughters and we're going to leave through the back door. I don't need hysterics." He said the last part with a dangerous under tone in his voice, as if to say or else. And to his great surprise there weren't any hysterics the girls were far too young to be scared and went quietly. Their mother was quickly slipping further into shock her mind was shutting down and had become docile. So, Ash lead his charges back across the street to the waiting officer Jenny.

Jenny had come to about ten minutes after being hit but was still seeing too many of everything for her to escape. God that kid was strong for his age; no wonder the victim was so badly beaten.

She was just contemplating the dangerous prospect of standing, when her captor walked through the front door leading a woman and what were unmistakably her two daughters. He had them sit down in the living room, and soon after he brought Jenny in as well.

"Sorry for not making introductions but I didn't have time to ask their names," Ash said apologetically to jenny.

"What are you going to do?" Jenny said fearing welling up inside her as stared at he two little girls.

"Well you see I'm going to put their lives in your hands. You are going to have to suck my dick or they are going to die." Ash said this with such finality, that Jenny knew he would do it the instant she didn't comply.
