Hello, hello this story take's place when Ash is eighteen and has finished his pokemon journey. A One-Shot story, my first one-shot so don't expect anything fancy. Enjoy everyone.

This is an OC/Ash. Misty doesn't deserve Ash; it's just not meant to be. So if you don't like Ash with someone else besides Misty. I suggest that you not read the story, if you do you've been warned.

WARNING: I was listening to `Love' songs while I was writing this story, so if it gets to sappy sorry. I have to listen to music when I'm writing anything. Anyways please send me some reviews ……… at lest one!

One Saturday morning, a girl with long black hair, dark brown eyes and around the age of seventeen walked to Ash Ketchum's house. She was wearing a jet-black mini skirt, a blood red tank top with an orange dragon printed on the back and some white tennis shoes.

The girl stretched her arms and knocked three times on the Ketchum residence. Soon Mrs. Ketchum opened the door and smiled, "Hello there Jewel, have you come to see Ash?"

"Yes, is he available?" Jewel asked.

"Of course he is, come in," Mrs. Ketchum said opening the door wider, "he's in his room I'll go get him."

"Ok." Jewel said walking in and sitting on the couch putting her hand on her lap waiting for Ash and his mom to return.

"Ash, honey, your friend is here." Mrs. Ketchum said looking at Ash who was laying on his bed.

"Who?" Ash asked sleepily.

Mrs. Ketchum frowned, "Jewel, she's here to see you."

Ash quickly opened his eyes and looked at his mom, "Jew-Jewel?"

"Yea, now hurry up and get dressed." Mrs. Ketchum said going back to Jewel.

Jewel saw Ash's mom return, "He'll be here shortly."

"Could you just give this to him? I'm running a little late." Jewel said handing Ash's mom a brown box with a blue ribbing on the top.

"Sure, but would you like to see Ash?" Mrs. Ketchum asked, "I mean you two haven't see each other since Ash went off to his journey."

"Tell him that'll be hanging around the river at seven o' clock." Jewel said smiling and leaving.

As soon as Jewel opened the door and walked out Ash come into the picture. He looked at his mom, "Where is Jewel?"

"She said that she'll see you at the river at seven." Ash's mom answered.

Jewel was lying on a tree branch which had a great view of the river, `Eight years with no word from him. Eight year alone in this town with no one.' Jewel groaned and sat up on the branch. She stared at the river and remembered the last day she wound spend with Ash.

"You'll be back soon right?" asked nine-year-old Jewel.

"Yeah, I will." Ten-year-old Ash said smiling.

"You better!" Jewel said cheering up a little more.

"Don't worry, Jewel, I'd never leave my friends for along time!" Ash said.

Jewel hugged Ash, "I'll miss you."

Ash hugged back, "I'll miss you too."

"Bye, Ash." Jewel said giving Ash a kiss on the cheek and running toward her house.

"Bye!" Ash yelled putting his hand on the cheek Jewel kissed.

Jewel smirked, "Childhood crushes."

"Jewel?"

Jewel gave and `Eek' falling out of the tree and landed into someone arms.

"Sorry didn't mean to scare you." Ash said laughing.

"You didn't scare me," Jewel said embarrassed, "you just surprised me."

"Sure." Ash said still holding Jewel and staring down at her.

"Could you put me down?" Jewel asked.

"Sorry." Ash said letting Jewel get on her feet.

Jewel stood in front of Ash and studied him, "You've really changed, Ashy boy."

"You have too." Ash said.

Jewel blushed and looked away from Ash, "Thank you."

Ash pulled Jewel towards him and wrapped his arms around her waist, "I missed you."

Jewel was still looking away from Ash but she placed her head on his chest, "Me too Ash."

Ash felt butterflies in his stomach when he finally heard Jewel say his name. He put his chin onto of her head, "Sorry."

"For what?" Jewel asked feeling warm and safe with Ash.

Ash smiled, "For not sending you any word."

"I know you were busy," Jewel said closing her eyes, "at lest I didn't think you were dead."

"Who thought I was dead?" Ash asked.

"Your mom when you didn't call her the first week you left." Jewel said chuckling.

Ash pulled away from Jewel and looked into her eyes, "You never thought I forgot about you, did you?"

"No." Jewel said smiling.

"Good." Ash said.

"I'm glad your back." Jewel said leaning closer to Ash.

"I am too." Ash said kissing Jawel.
