Later that week, on Friday, I went back to the chat room. By then I had forgotten all about Winged_Glass_Rose33.

It was dark in my room, and the computer illuminated the bland walls with artificial colors. It hurt my eyes, but I looked anyway.

Kamakyze_Lass: Nah ^.^;; … I'd rather not waste my life on foolish dreams of being a #1 trainer, ya know? Very few people actually make it past all the gym leaders.

Cluelessdewgong: I don't really go for that stuff, either. I just battle for fun. Here where I live we have nightly local battles. =)

Kamakyze_Lass: OooOoH! That would be fun. My town is all small…

Cluelessdewgong: yeah but big cities aren't exactly that fun. There's been a lot of Team Rocket activity around here, lately..

I froze for a second. My memory seemed to be boggled for a moment, did I not want to remember? The event in itself wasn't life changing or anything. It was just words and pixels after all.

Chickster900: heehee! Winged_glass_rose, that's a stupid name!

Chickster900: stupid name! Stupid name!

Cluelessdewgong: you have a stupid name.

CharizardLuver: Well, it was really weird Kyze. He was still acting pitiful, then this other person came into the chat room and he flipped out! He was typing in caps and everything, then he starting role-playing, saying things like '::bleeding::' and what not.

Kamakyze_Lass: GeEeEeEEEZ! What a jerk. I bet he set it up with that other person. Do you remember their name?

Kamakyze_Lass: yeah. I'm surprised ya even stayed around to listen to his B/S.

I hesitated once again. Had he really spoken? I read and reread his single line of defiance towards chickster900. Those words scared me, and I couldn't tell why.

I stared blankly and my empty monitor. It reflected my room now, cold darkness. I began to fear my computer had been hacked, so I reset it. It started up normally, and appeared to be fine in all aspects.

My mouse hovered over the internet icon. I was so curious, yet afraid. I was afraid that he would still be waiting in there the chat room for me. But I was curious. A noctowl hooted somewhere in the distance, and I was startled out of my thoughts.

I didn't go back to the chat room that night.
