I still couldn't get over the event. My mind played and replayed every possible scheme it could conjure up. What if he and his friends were toying with me before they, a group of elite drug-dealer hackers, used my computer to download records of illegal marijuana sales?

But darker thoughts raced through my mind. What if Winged_Glass_Rose33 was a forty year old child molester who found his prey on the internet? I grew intensely worried on this thought, and though I tried, I could not stop thinking about it. The message board was no help to me, there were no true subjects I was interested to reply to.

Then it hit me.

Why not post on the message board asking about Rose??

This guy, Winged_Glass_Rose33 is hanging around in the general chat. He's really weird, and really annoying. I think he wants attention, but is he a hacker? Me and some other people were in the general chat before, and he went crazy and (to my knowledge) shut down everyone's computer in the chat! Then, he keeps role- playing idiotically like he's in pain.

Did I mention I think he has friends out there staging stupid things in the chat room? Twice when I was in the general chat with him a person came into the chat room and he told them to "turn around". Then that person said "I'm sorry" and left! Plus, looking them up, both of them had "I'm sorry" written three times on their descriptions!

The point is, has anyone else had problems with him? Does anyone here know about him?

I refreshed the page once, and already I had two replies.

Yeah, I've seen Winged_Glass_Rose33 around. I really have strong doubts that he has a life at all. He never leaves the general chat. As for your "staged" performances, I've never seen any. He usually just watches the chat or tells us not to talk to him. He's role-played like you described before, though.

The replies were comforting, but unsatisfying. I thought for a moment on the gender subject, I never truly had asked Rose if he was a male. I suppose I just assumed from the start.

Back at the message boards, I did exactly as RRATTENAE had explained. I noticed my board had gotten quite a few more replies, but I figured they'd still be there when I got back.

Ah, I knew your question would arise at some point. No, the plot is generally NOT like .hack (damn, though, that's a sweet anime). Though this plot is based on computers and revolves around being online, there's nothing about a guy who can't log out or anything like that.
