Pokemon Fan Fiction / Pokemon Fan Fiction ❯ Pokemon: Ash & Misty's perfect love ❯ ch.5: a new family ( Chapter 5 )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

As the months progressed, so did the baby. Ash and Misty decided they wanted to be surprised if it was a boy or a girl. The thing Misty liked the most was that Ash always cooked, cleaned, opened doors, brought in groceries, and was always making sure she was comfortable.
It had been 3 months since hey found out, and she now had a pretty noticeable bulge where the baby was. Ash always rubbed her belly, and he liked talking to the precious life they had created.
“You know, we really should think of names.” Ash said one day as they were sitting on the couch, Misty in his arms.
“Yeah. We should have two, one for a boy, and one for a girl.” Said Misty, as she absentmindedly stroked her swollen belly.
“Hmmmm. What about Kyle? Or Kevin?”
“No, nothing that starts with a `k'. It would sound weird.”
“Yeah, your right. Hey, how about Max and May?” cried Ash.
“Ooohhh. I like them.”

--5 months later—

Ash and Misty had just returned from a visit with Misty's sisters. And they were exhausted. Ash had to help Misty up the stairs, because it was getting increasingly hard to maneuver.
“I wont be sad when this baby is born. Uugh.” She groaned, clutching her belly. “Ash, help me into the bathroom, please.”
They waddled to the bathroom, then Misty closed the door. Ash sighed. Just as he started walking back to the bedroom, Misty cried, “ Ahhh! Ash, it's time! Help me!”
Realizing what was happening, he sprinted back to the bathroom. Opening the door, he found Misty standing/squatting over a small puddle of water.
“Ash, don't just stand there, help me!!”
“Oh, right.” He hurried over and helped her start walking out of the bathroom. Before starting downstairs, he snatched the small, previously packed duffel bag that had spare clothes and things in it. Then they started down the stairs. After what seemed like hours, they reached the car. Ash, in his haste, forgot to help Misty get in the car. As he was pulling out of the driveway, he remembered. He stopped, ran out, helped ease Misty into the front seat, and started driving again. After a few minutes, he said, “It will be all right, Mist. You okay?”
“Yeah, just hurry, Ash…” she moaned.
Once they reached the hospital, they got a room for Misty. After getting all settled, Ash called his mother, Misty's sisters, Brock, and Professor Oak.
“Well, that's everyone.” He walked over to where Misty lay. She was sweating, and she looked extremely uncomfortable, but she was still beautiful. “I love you, Mist.” He grabbed her hand, but what he received was a harsh squeeze, making him yelp.
“Ooops, sorry, Ash. I love you, too. Can you ring the doctor, or a nurse?”
“Sure.”
A few minutes later, everyone arrived, including the doctor. He looked at her heart rate, and then he said that we should go to the appropriate room. He started wheeling her bed out of the room, but she didn't see Ash.
“Ash! Where are you!?”
“I'm right here, Mist. I would never leave your side at a time like this.”
“Here we are.” Said the doctor. “We will get started in a minute, Mrs. Ketchum.”
“Well, Misty,” said Ash when they were alone.” this is it. I can't believe we are about to become parents.” He leaned over and kissed her sweaty forehead. “I will always love you.”
“I love yo- oww!” she grimaced as another contraction hit.
This made Ash's face contorted with worry. Where were the doctors? He thought. Then Misty started to breathe like they taught them at lamaz.
“Ash! I need to push!”
“Uh, okay.”
At the next contraction, Misty grabbed the bed rails and pushed with all her might.
“Ash!”
“Yes?”
“I love you.”
After a few more pushes, their newborn daughter was born. Just then, the doctor burst through the doors. “Oh!” he cried. A few nurses came and took the baby to be cleaned up. Ash walked over to Misty, who was breathing hard but smiling. “I love you, Ash Ketchum.” She said. Ash leaned down and kissed his wife passionately. Just then, a nurse came over with the newborn baby girl wrapped up in a pink blanket. She had a tuft of unruly black hair, and deep blue orb-like eyes. Just like her mother. He gently took the child and held her, knowing that this would be the most important day in his life. He carried her over to Misty, who sat up, and looked lovingly at her daughter then at her husband.

A few days after May was born, the new parents were allowed to go back home. Misty had to be wheeled out of the hospital, and into the car. As they were driving, Misty glanced at the back seat at her daughter, who was fast asleep. When thy reached home, ash helped Misty walk into the house. This is our first day back as a new family. They both thought.

The end… or is it?
