Chapter One
Traveler
------------------
Julie wandered into the little town, looking around at the cute houses and shops, looking for a place that she would be able to spend the night. She was just passing a house that was larger than the rest, when there was a rumbling behind her.
"Look out!" someone yelled, and tackled her to the ground. Julie closed her eyes, as the rumbling went over her and her savior. She finally opened her eyes, and looked into a pair of deep brown eyes.
"Hey, sorry about that..." the owner of the eyes apologized. He stood up and pulled Julie to her feet.
"I'm Tracey," he introduced himself.
"I'm Julie!" Julie was tempted to giggle, as Tracey was very cute. He looked strong, had a trustworthy-looking face, and semi-long hair that was held back by a green head band.
"Well... I suppose that I had better let you come in to get yourself cleaned up and have to tea or something to eat..." Tracey remarked, rubbing the back of his head.
"But what about your..." Julie trailed off, not sure what had caused that rumbling.
"Never mind those! They aren't really mine anyway!" Tracey told her, taking her arm and leading her inside the large house.
"Professor Oak!" Tracey called, after seating her in the kitchen.
"Yes, what is it Tracey?" Who Julie assumed was Professor Oak walked into the kitchen. "Oh, company! Hello, dear! Would you like some tea or something to eat?"
"Some tea, please," Julie asked. Professor Oak bustled about, preparing a pot of tea.
"I'm Professor Oak," he started, once the pot was on the stove. "And this is my assistant, Tracey. He's a pokemon watcher."
"I'm Julie. I'm a pokemon trainer from Palidiano County," Julie told him. Both Tracey and Professor Oak started at her comment.
"My.... Palidiano County is very far away from here..." Professor Oak commented.
"It is," Tracey agreed. "So, Julie. What brings you to Pallet Town?"
"Well, I was just passing threw, when Tracey tackled me to the ground," Julie laughed, watching Tracey's face get red. Professor Oak laughed along with Julie.
"Haha! Tracey, now what have I told you about tackling girls to the ground that you think are cute?" Professor Oak joked. Tracey's face turned more red, as Julie laughed harder.
"But Professor Oak... there where some Onix on the loose, headed right for her. I saved her," Tracey tried. Professor Oak ignored his assistant for the moment.
"So, how is Professor Pine doing these days?" Professor Oak asked Julie. Julie smiled at Oak.
"She's doing really well. She just got married a few months ago, in fact!" Julie smiled at the memory, and Oak stroked his chin.
"Hmm.... I do recall hearing a rumor that she was getting married..." Oak thought out loud.
"Julie," Tracey interrupted. "Maybe you would like to change your clothes now."
"Oh yes!" Julie jumped to attention.
"The bathroom is this way." Tracey lead Julie to the bathroom, and went back to the kitchen. Julie walked back into the kitchen a few minutes later, and sat down in her seat again. She was wearing a light blue tank top, dark-blue jeans, and blue boots.
"How do you take your tea, Julie?" Oak asked Julie, pouring her a cup of tea.
"Three sugars," Julie answered sweetly. Oak placed three cubes of sugar into her tea cup and placed the cup and saucer in front of her.
