Chapter 3

Kanto Journeys: Chapter 3: Gym Badge 2: Once Taylor was done s hile Taylor follow suit. Otto points at Richie and tells his Squirtle to water gun Richie, and Taylor mimics, pointing at Otto, Richie starts cracking up, which gets Otto's Squirtle mad, and it turns up the water gun. Which in turn gets Richie mad and he sends out his Pidgey and tell it to blow Otto's Squirtle away with gust. Meanwhile Otto sent out his recently caught Oddish and tells it to use absorb on Taylor's Squirtle but Richie tells his Pidgey to gust it away first so Oddish met the same fate as Charmander. After Richie beat Otto with help from Taylor, and they got some money and both our group and Otto head to the pokemon center to get rid of Richie's and Otto's water (not together though, Otto was ahead), and Richie decided to have some fun. He whispered to Taylor what he was doing and then quietly told Pidgey who was still out to quick attack in a direct line in front of Otto and then use gust so Otto would be blown back and Pidgey quickly obeyed, and it blew Otto back. Right when Otto passed by where Richie, Taylor and Richie's Charmander were hiding Richie had his Charmander use ember so the gust attack turned into something like a fire tornado. Otto was not wet at all after that, but he was nearly burnt to a crisp. Getting mad, he sent out an Oddish to look for Richie but while it was a good distance away, Charmander used another ember so it looked like they were at a completely different location then they actually were. While Otto was hopelessly looking for Richie and Taylor, Richie recalled his pokemon and sneaked out of their and then went to a pokemon center where Richie found some right size clothes and a towel, and went in the bathroom to dry himself off and to change out of his wet clothes.

Meanwhile, about a hour later, Otto had finally given up looking for Richie and Taylor and recalled his pokemon and slowly went to the pokemon center (Richie and Taylor had left a while ago) and got healed by Nurse Joy's Chancey, and fortunately for Otto she didn't ask any questions.

About the same time, Otto was finished with the pokemon center. Richie and Taylor were heading toward Cerulean Cave when they spotted a trainer who came up and introduced himself as Tim, Richie and Taylor told him their names and then Tim asked them if he could joined them. After talking it over privately, the two decided to accept so, they continued with a new friend, after learning what pokemon Tim/Richie and Taylor (depending on who it was) (Tim has a Machop level 10) for a while, the 3 arrived at the pokemon center, and they healed their pokemon. After their pokemon were healed, the 3 went into the cave where they got jumped by 2 teens, one boy one girl that had a R on their shirts that had a Meowth with them. All of the suddenly they said a motto that went:

Prepare for trouble!

And make it double!

To protect the world from devastation!

To unite all people within all nations!

To denounce the evils of truth and love!

To extend our reach into the stars!

After they finished, Richie asked "what is Team Rocket"? Jessie replied "a brilliant criminal organization" Richie replied "I don't know about the rest of Team Rocket but you 2 are sure stupid" Jessie got mad and said "why you little! Go Ekans!" James said "Go Koffing", Richie sent out his Pidgey and Charmander, Taylor sent out his Staryu and his Squirtle, and Tim sent out his Machop.

Richie made the first command of the battle, and said "Pidgey, Gust attack on Ekans!" Then Richie said "Charmander, Ember Attack on Koffing!" Then Taylor said "Squirtle, Bubble attack on Ekans!" And "Staryu, Water Gun on Koffing!" That last blow was too much for Koffing and it went down, then Tim said "Machop, Karate Chop!" Even though it wasn't very effective on Koffing the earlier blows and this blow turned out to be too much for Koffing. After beating Jessie and James, the group continued on and left the cave, and in the grass before Cerulian Richie found a Spearow, and caught it. After arriving at Cerulian the group healed and went in the grass to train, Taylor fished and got a Magikarp level 15, and using his Staryu he caught it. After a lot of training till all of their pokemon were level 20, then the group found a trainer named Hiro, who challenged anyone of the group to face him with a 3 on 3, Richie and Taylor looked at each other, they both had 3 pokemon, Richie decided he would do it, but first he healed. After all of them healing their pokemon, Richie started off with Pidgey which quickly took out Hiro's level 13 Pikachu, and level 15 Torchic, but one Headbutt by Bagon combined with the Thundershock and Ember by Pikachu and Torchic, was plenty enough for Pidgeotto. Next up was Fearow(just evolved) who used a peck and Bagon followed with a Headbutt, then Fearow pecked it again while Bagon headbutted it. Then Fearow pecked a 3rd time but was K.O'ed by another Headbutt. Then Richie sent out his Charmeleon which won with 2 embers. After Richie won Hiro joined the group. After healing they went to the gym, Richie fought first again, against Misty and the battle started as Misty's Staryu vs. Richie's Pidgeotto, Pidgeotto made the first move with gust, then Staryu used a water gun. Then it was another gust by Pidgeotto, which was followed by a Harden from Staryu. Then Pidgeotto won it with another gust. Then it was Starmie vs. Pidgeotto, that is until Richie recalled his pokemon and sent out Fearow. Making it Misty's Starmie vs. Richie's Fearow (Richie can use Pidgeotto again), Fearow started with a Fury Attack which hit Starmie 5 times Starmie responded with a Tackle, and Fearow used a Peck, and Starmie used Water Gun. Fearow used another peck and Starmie hardend. Fearow won it with another peck. Richie got some money and the badge, then went to where the others were, then Taylor stepped forward. Taylor sent out Wartortle and Misty sent out Staryu, Wartortle used a Withdraw while Staryu tackled it, then Wartortle went on the offensive with a Tackle. Staryu countered with a tackle but Wartortle won it with another tackle. Then Wartortle faced Misty's Starmie, with both pokemon tackleing eachother and both went down and the match went to Taylor. After getting his badge and some money Taylor went to the others and Tim stepped forward, since Tim only had one pokemon it was Starmie vs. Machop, Machop had type disadvantage but 6 Semic Tosses by Machop and 6 water guns by Starmie and Starmie was out of it, giving Tim the win. Finnaly it was Hiro's Turn, and it was Pikachu vs. Staryu, Pikachu sent out a Thunder shock which hurt Staryu badly but it countered with a Water gun that K.O'ed Pikachu, then Hiro sent out Bagon which won with one Headbutt. Then Misty sent out Starmie, and Bagon finished that with 3 headbuttes, and Starmie got in 2 water guns in between.
