The Pokegods announced the contest to begin shortly. It would be a fiercer battle than anyone thought it would be. The battle started off fierce. Rayquaza used sky tornado, wanting to end the battle quickly, Deoxys turned into speed formation, and jumped into the tornado. Deoxys then used extreme speed the opposite way the tornado was spinning and sent the attack back at Rayquaza. Deoxys then jumped out and went into attack formation, took the tornado, and hit Rayquaza with it. Rayquaza was amazed. This was a pokemon that could stand up to his power. Rayquaza just wanted to rest though. Rayquaza then decided to do the same attack he did to Groudon and Kyogre, but this time, he would only take a section of the sky. Rayquaza then turned still, gatering energy. Then he used sky tornado at the sky again. He used hyper beam in a little square so the tornado would only take part of the sky. Then, Rayquaza jumped in the tornado and aimed it at Deoxys. Rayquaza used hyper beam. It hit Deoxys head on. Deoxys didn't even change formations and the tornado was about to hit her. Then, all of a sudden, Deoxys turned into a triangle, and was hovering in the air. The tornado hit Deoxys, and not a scratch was made. Deoxys then turned back to normal form.

 

Chapter 13: Mirage Mysteries

 

What had just happened. An ancient power had been beaten without a scratch. The Pokegods had to do something about this. They thought Rayquaza was the strongest of all pokemon, know he could be beaten. The gods decided to help Rayquaza win by cheating a little. They would make a barrier around a random island that Rayquaza landson. They'd make it so Rayquaza could see Deoxys, but Deoxys couldn't see him.

Rayquaza had an idea, he'd force Deoxys to use extreme speed, then use extreme speed to with a combination of fly and agility. The one with the most speed would win.
