Sakura's Quest
Prologue: Choices And Tests
I was almost finished just three more to go. We were all excited and can you blame
us? Everyone who passed this test would receive their trainer's license and starting
pokemon from Professor Pamentto. I looked back down at the test sheet on the long
table in front of me.
98. What is Sandsalsh's special attack?
A. Poison Sting C. Fury Swipes
B. Earthquake D. Sandstorm
I know A and C couldn't possibly be it but then I remembered something: Sandslash
don't learn Earthquake naturally so I placed D.
99.Name the pokemon who can pass for a spy.
A.Hypno C.Yanma
B.Geodude D. Ditto
This one was easy. Ditto because of it's transform ability.
100. Name the Seven known evoltution stones.
This too was easy. I wrote them down while ticking them off in my head. Fire,
Water, Leaf, Thunder, Moon, Sun, and Ever.
I placed my pencil down and looked around the room to see if anymore of my
classmates had finished. To my non-surprise, only one person had. It was a dark
skinned boy with hazel eyes and glasses my best friend John. He looked my way and
seemed to say without words: so you finished too?
I started hwirling my layered fuchsia hair around my finger nervously. It was a habit
I had inherited from my mom. My teal eyes stared apprehensively at the old man
who had just stood up.
Several more mintues when by until he announced that time was up and to pass in
our tests in that drawling voice. With my palm sweating I handed it up to him as he
slid each of the thirty papers into the computer and we all changed our atttention to
the screen above him.
"Everyone on the left side of the screen has passed. Everyone on the left side,
however, should re-take the course next year." He said as everyone's pictures
popped up on the right side of the screen. I breathed a sigh of reief. I passed. I'm
gonna be a trainer. I felt my lips curl at the corners and fought the urge to jump up
and whoop. "All of you must be at Professor Ivory's lab by seven thirty tomorrow to
recieve your pokemon and liscense. You have Cyndaquil, Totodile, Chikorita,
Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Pikachu, Eevee, Clefairy, and Jigglypuff to choose
from. Congratulations and good luck to all of you. I'm am very proud." And for the
first time ever Aki-sensei broke into a true smile then dismissed us.
Once the rest of our class was long gone I stopped to say goodbye
"Goodbye Aki-sensei." I said giving him a hug.
"I almost thought you wouldn't say goodbye to me Sakura-san. But this is not truly
goodbye. For we will meet again I promise you that." He said with an odd twinkle
in his eye.
I looked back up at him then stepped away.
"Sayonara Arigatou." I say before bowing to him.
"Sayonara" He bows in return then adds "don't worry Sakura you will be a great
trainer be but careful, the road to be coming a master is never easy."
I froze where I stood and stare at him I shock. The hardcore teacher of Ako Village
is actually nice who would've thought and he actually thought I would become a
master and great trainer. I feel myself blushing as I ask him
"Hondo?"
"Hai now go before your mother worries."
With a final wave I left the school building and stopped in the middle of the street
only to jump up and yell "YES!"
