Rescue Mission-Chapter 3
Garnet stood frozen, not even daring to breath. Scared of giving away were she was, she hid behind a few bushes. "Free the worthless pokemon! We want to rule the world! Not become world's greatest pokemon collector!" A harsh voice spoke. "Y-yes, but master! Don't you see? This is the world's most valuable legendary! We can do GREAT things with this…" "Silence! I do not care of wealth! The money we earn will be nothing compared to ruling the world! We can ask for anything we want, all the wealth we need. Free things if we want! Do you see why riches are not part of our plan?" "You forgot that I was former pokemon collector! Of course, my collection was worth a great deal of money, but this time I don't care of the money! This is a legendary pokemon, and its strength is unlimited…" The two shadowed figures wandered farther away from her hiding place, and it was almost impossible to hear over Azul's paining whines. Frustrated, she turned invisible and flew just inches away from the cage that held Azul.
At first, Azul thought that he was just doing a favor for Garnet's boring duties, what he didn't expect an open cage to be trapped in. He did not know that they would go into so much trouble for just a forest princess's brother. What will Garnet think of him? Surely she will go ballistic that he had fallen for the simplest trick in the book, and been foolish enough to whimper in fear and pain when a harmless ray gun zapped him. But all of this did not matter to him anymore. He was really going to be captured. What did he do to deserve such a punishment, and some friendlier approach would have been a little better than spend the rest of his life in a ball to only come out when you are called in battle! Garnet! He whimpered endlessly. Don't show yourself, don't! Again and again he cried until he could only manage to produce a frightened call. He hated the fact that he was a `worthless pile of life.' It distressed him so much that he didn't listen anymore to avoid the idea of Garnet laughing at him. "Maybe we should, err, carry it. I don't see a way that our newest inventions work with those bugs…" "What will it cost to zip that mouth of yours? I have a plan, I always have a backup plan when something gets in our way." "Oh master! This will not get in our way; this is the key to our plans! We could command it to use its great power, the technical powers of this physic!" "Do you have brains? We have machines for that work, how do you expect any living thing to carry a ten thousand ton underwater secret base?"
Garnet's rage was really building, why did they have to move so far away? There were only bits heard when Azul was breathing and not releasing all sorts of warnings. "Maybe…master…command…power…physic! Brains…plan…underwater…base." She started to go closer. But somehow a particularly loud scream stopped her. Azul didn't just say `Don't go near me' right? He didn't just give a warning that there was more than just a cage, right? Lost in thought, she forgot to pay attention to the enemy's plan. Stupid! What's more important, the plans or listening to my brother? Just as she thought that, the figures were gone. "Azul!" she hissed. "Tell me what they said!" But the figures reappeared and took Azul with them this time. Man! Being the princess is hard work! She thought of technically bringing him back, but didn't say something about a plan? They surely would go with everything planned. Unless…
God, thank you! If you hadn't made the humans come back and get me, Garnet would have been trapped also! Azul thanked his lucky stars and slowly turned his head to see Garnet franticly waving her hands. Knowing it will only make him think of the treacherous life in store for him, he turned to stare at the many complicated maps and drawings on the walls. He also noticed that there were many pokemon posters. To his surprise, the biggest one was a Latios, handsome and tough looking. He was sorounded by purple light, especially around his eyes. Suddenly, he knew the answer to his problems. Opening his eyes wide, he used the saving technique all Latios were born with, sight- share.
Garnet was about to charge into the lab, but she found that the whole place was spinning. Dizzy, she noticed Wailmer Ocean was gone. In place was a huge wall with detailed structure of the building floors, inventions, even as far as plans for the future. And to her horror she saw her brother trapped in the steel cage being pulled in a trolley like thing. He was staring at the confusing maps on the walls, paying close attention at colored ones. Those must be posters. She thought. He was never interested in map studying. Her stomach lurched, she never knew her brother was a bookworm, why a not start studying maps? They had entered a circular dome, and to her surprise (this was not the first one too.) he was taken out of the cage. But instead of taking the chance for freedom, he merely laid down in exhaustion. A grunt appeared out of nowhere and tried to lift him (and I mean tried.) It took 5 more grunts to be able to lift him off the ground without tumbling down or their knees giving away. All Azul did was wince in pain when a weak grunt fell over his weight. And his weight was the average weight of any Latios anyway.
Azul was laid on this giant orb. He seemed to just sink through. But when his arm hit the side of the ball, it bounced back on his side. "This will only fit one pokemon, so I hope this is the strongest in the land." "It's a bit weak now, but the Power Generator 2003 will restore it, however, it won't be able to break through the energy orb's gravitational pull. That way it will always stay at the center. Then we can control its power simply, this invention is similar to the one when Annie and Oakling had tried to steal Latios, we're basically doing the same thing, except the Power Generator 2003 is a stronger and more powerful invention, so what do you think of this new invention I stole from the Devon's Corporation?" "Excellent work, however I don't expect the Devon's Corporation will think of something as evil to use on pokemon, what blueprints did you take?" "Well, I stole the one for the fossil restorer. That's where the idea of a giant laser and orb came from. The orb was wear to store the fossil. The giant laser would zap the fossil to revive it. But the control room came from Annie and Oakling's machine." "Let's get to work! Who will work the control room?" "I will." Answered a rough grunt. "I don't have any pokemon to battle, they can defend." Then Azul was zapped by the laser and restored full health. He didn't bother to hit the walls, just tested it with his tail first, and it bounced easily. But when a red button was pushed, Azul's power was controlled and Garnet was where she started, outside behind the bushes.
