The Timetravelers: AAMLS I
Part Two: Good Times

September 2nd, 2001(the next day)
Viridian City, about 3 p.m.

Misty needed advice about her relationship with Ash, and she knew only one person in the whole college enough to be able to talk to them about this.

"Darren? Can I talk to you for a sec?" she asked. Darren smiled.

"Sure. What's up?"

"Well, I can't believe I'm doing this but… I need advice on my relationship with Ash."

Darren laughed. He thought it was funny that she was turning to him for advice. "Tell me more."

"Ok, ever since he got this job, he's been busy. He gets called out sporadically and at moments that I just don't want his work to call at. Most of our dates end with him going to work. Then there's the fact that the dates we have aren't the greatest. There are places I want to go that I can't take Ash to because he's still sixteen. So we keep going to places and it seems that each date is a repeat of the last one. I want to have a good time… but I can't with Ash at all…"

"I see…" he said.

"I'd go on my own, but I'm afraid that the men would get the wrong idea, especially if I go out to some of the clubs. They might hit on me and then I'll feel disloyal to Ash… and I don't want to end the relationship yet…"

Darren nodded. "Well, I say don't worry about staying loyal. You're a college girl! He's a high schooler. Why don't you have fun now and worry about him later when he has some free time just for you? You could go with us sometime."

"I'll think about it," she told him. Misty had to admit it, it would be nice to go out on her own for once. Darren started turning around. Then she made a decision.

"What are you doing Monday night?"

Darren turned around and smiled. "My friends and I are going to a club. Wanna come?"

"Sure! When are you guys meeting up, and where?"

"Here, six o'clock sharp. You better be here if you ever want to have a good time!" Then he left the room they were chatting in. Misty smiled. At least she'd have a good time on Monday instead of having a big space of doing absolutely nothing like if she were with Ash.

Then she went home using the psychic teleport system and got ready for work. Like I said, she was a cashier for the restaurant in town. Her outfit was cool: a baby blue skirt and vest, a white shirt under the vest, white knee-high socks, and black dress shoes with no heels. Misty put her hair up in that old sideways ponytail and went to work. She liked working in the restaurant in town, so her shift seemed to last only five minutes. Then she went home. On her door was a note.

"Sorry about last night. Talk to you later. -Ash"

"Well, at least he's sorry." Misty smiled and went to bed, considering that she was very tired.

The rest of the week ran in this manner. Misty only visited Ash once, and it was only for a little bit, because it was before a meeting. They both either had work or school and couldn't fit any time for each other right now in their schedules.

It was Monday. Misty didn't go back to Pallet Town today. At six she was in front of the college waiting for Darren and his friends. Then Darren and two of his friends came.

"You ready to see what having a good time's all about?" he asked.

"You bet!" She was dressed for club hopping. Then they went to one called Neon and Sparkles. It was very weird, yet awesome. There were neon lights everywhere and there was a bar, therefore, they didn't let anyone under eighteen in. The music was loud and pulsing. It seemed to flow through everyone in the club. The college kids spent the whole night there. The music, the food, the lights, and the guys with her… it was the most fun that Misty had in a long time. At ten she was teleported home. There was another note on the door.

"What's going on? You said that you'd drop by tonight. Something wrong? -Ash"

"Oh no! I was having so much fun that I forgot about him! Oh well, I'll see him Friday, no big deal."

Friday was the same thing, except they went to a different club this time. Misty came back to her apartment happy, tired and ready to go to bed. Then she saw the note on the door.

"Aw, come on, I can't be THAT bad… -Ash" Misty had tears in her eyes. She had forgotten all about Ash… again! That was terrible! But there was more:

"P.S. I even managed to get the night off tonight too…" She would have sobbed if it weren't for the fact that she was too tired from having too much fun…

Misty had Sunday off. She decided to go see if Ash was home at about noon.

"Ash went with his friends to a movie in Viridian City," Delia told her at the door. "They said that they should be back by three."

"Oh… I'm leaving at two. Can you tell him that I have Thursday off and I'll see him then?" Misty asked.

"Sure, I can do that."

"Thanks!" Then she left to get ready since she had nothing to do. At two she went to go shopping like she said. She came home at nine and tried calling Ash's house. Giovanni picked it up.

"Hello, Ketchum residence."

"Hi! Is Ash there?" she asked hopefully.

"He went to bed early."

"Well, thanks anyway!" She hung up the phone, disappointed. She wanted to apologize to her boyfriend for Friday night. Misty felt like she should have been there instead of at the clubs, or she should have at least asked Ash if he had plans. So she went to bed.

"I have to tell Darren that I'm off limits Thursday! I promised Ash that I'd be there!"

The other disclaimer: Don't own Pokémon. I don't they would show anyone in the clubs… well, maybe Brock picking up some chicks… ;)
Hey! I can use the wink! Yay! I like this one too.
