Pokemon Fan Fiction / Pokemon Fan Fiction ❯ The Timetravelers: Reunited at Last ❯ A Little Problem ( Chapter 1 )
Disclaimer for the lazy: I don't own Pokémon. u.u
Rating: PG-13 ish. Ish. There's a gun. This story is more on the borderline, and it's better to overrate than underrate, right?
Story Number: Four out of about seven.
NOTE: Ok; now the other Giovanni is going to be Mr. Ketchum again. Sorry, but Ash's father is going to be in here. The only exception is when Ash speaks to Mr. Ketchum, because he calls him Giovanni anyway. He can't call his father Giovanni to his face. ^_^
Aw crap. Not notes!
-Ash's parents are gone. (and yes, Giovanni is his father. But he's... er... good now. Weird, ne?)
-Oh, the Timetravelers... people who travel through time and kick team rocket's butt... er... that's about it there.
-Which brings me to the next point. Ash is psychic. BUM BUM BUM!
-uh, yah, this other Giovanni guy is Ash's guardian. Someone has to take care of him.
-Celedon Mansion: where Ash's parents are. Celedons: the people who live there.
Part One: A Little Problem
August 16th, 2001
TT HQ, 5:20 p.m.
Ash was sitting in the meeting room of Group A. They were talking about the mission of the day.
"We're raiding the Celedon Mansion today!" Ms. Lee said. Ash wanted to cheer, because his mother was there, being held against her will, and his father was locked in a cell in the basement, all alone. To think today could be the day he'd been waiting for…
"In 1963." Ash then glared at her.
"That's cold, getting my hopes up like that…" he said. Ms. Lee looked at him.
"We can't today because the Terrible Trio's there, and the security's extremely tight." Ash sighed. Did the Terrible Trio have a life? Then again, Celedons have no social life at all. All they did was sit around in their mansion and mess around… those lazy fools!
Then an alarm sent Ash back to reality. Team Rocket had broken in. Ash went in his position to defend the Timetravelers turf. Luckily, they hadn't sent anyone strong today. That could mean only one thing: They had sent a diversion!
The secretary, Mrs. Johnson, then hacked into their database and discovered that they had just sent weak grunts today; they had no top-secret plans today. *anime falls*
"Team Rocket's being dumb again! Make them stop!" Don complained. Then they got a call from 1963, saying that they sent others to raid the mansion, so they weren't needed.
"Ok, everyone can go home. I have no back-up missions." They all cheered and got dressed. Ash sighed; it was yet another day that he couldn't get his parents out of the mansion. But one day, he would, he had promised himself that. There was no way that Ash would make them stay there the rest of their lives. He wouldn't let himself live it down if he made them stay…
Ash teleported home. Misty was staying in their house. They had moved back to Pallet Town because Misty was attending college in Viridian, and she could get someone to teleport her to the city every day. She was going to get an apartment here, but it wasn't going to be ready until next week. Mr. Ketchum wasn't here. He was working overtime today.
"Hey Misty. What's up?" Ash asked.
"Nothing much." She was on the couch, reading something. "Why are you back early?"
"They let us go because our mission was cancelled and we didn't have a back-up one." Then Ash went up to get something to eat. He didn't have any dinner before he left. "Did you want anything?"
"No, that's ok. I had my dinner already." Ash then made himself a sandwich and ate some chips with it. There was nothing else to eat since they hadn't gone grocery shopping in a while. He ate dinner, and then sat in a chair with nothing to do. All of Ash's Pokémon were getting check-ups; there was no school, so there was no homework to do; and Misty had to read that book. So he decided to go outside and work on weeding out the garden.
The garden was a mess, considering that no one had taken care of it in a while. There were still tons of weeds in it that needed to be taken out. Ash put on some gloves and started weeding.
"It's strange. I used to hate working in the garden, but then again, Mom was like a slave driver. It was always do the difficult work, and that would get on my nerves. Now she isn't here…" Ash thought. "Now I have to do all the work. But somehow I don't mind at all. Maybe it's because the garden reminds me of Mom…" Sometimes, everything would remind him of his mom…
Misty walked out, wanting to help. She was done reading, so she put on a pair of gloves and started to help Ash weed the garden.
"So do you actually like this?" she asked.
"Yah, kinda. It's relaxing, to an extent," Ash replied.
"That's good. I like doing this too. Too bad I don't have much of a green thumb." She accidentally pulled out a flower instead of a weed. "See what I mean?" she said, smiling. They kept weeding until they were all gone. The garden looked better already, and it was almost like it was before, except the plants didn't look their best. They made a reminder to get some fertilizer or something that'd help them out. It was sad that the garden didn't look it's best.
By now, it was about eight, so they decided to see what was on TV. There was a good show on, so they kept it on, until about nine.
"Do you still wish that you could get your parents out of that mansion?" Misty asked.
"I do. I'd do anything to go in there and come out with them." Misty thought that was sweet, that he was thinking about rescuing his parents all the time, no matter how crazy it sounded.
Then, at about 9:15, Ash's cell phone rang.
"Ash, we need you at TT HQ, now!" Ash then teleported to the HQ, in his pajamas, I might add…
