Part Six: The End?
November 18th, 2006 (Tuesday)
Viridian City Hospital, 5:30 p.m.
Misty had come over late because her car would not start. The doctor taking care of Ash wanted to see her today for some reason. The news was not good.
"We cut life support on the 20th."
"What?" she said quietly, shocked. "Why?"
"There's been no change in status at all since we got him. We can't keep your husband like this forever. He has to die sometime. His borrowed time is up. You do have his will, right?"
"Yes." He had filled it out after they got married. Being a Timetraveler was a risky job, as you can see. Having a will is a very smart thing.
"Ok. I doubt he's going to live. In fact, there's only a one percent chance that he'll actually live. Very few knew to breathe on their own…"
Of course, poor Misty was heartbroken. It was terrible. She cried herself to sleep that night. How would she move on without him?
Ash's mind.
Angel was crying even more than usual today. It confused the little boy.
"Why? She's never looked so upset. Was Christmas cancelled?" It seemed logical to the little boy… he had no clue he was about to die…

TT HQ, 5:20 p.m.
Mr. Takenshi had gone on leave. He said he left because "I needed a vacation." That could have been a reason, but he left because he didn't want to be around Misty for awhile. What if she tried to kill him out of grief? It was a chance he didn't want to take, even if he was psychic.
The rest of the group was silent.
Mk was pale. What would become of her? She'd truly be an orphan if her father died. Misty wouldn't adopt her. Time would be severely altered. And what about her friends and boyfriend? Would they be okay without her? No one would remember that girl named… then what would her name be? Her mother never named her; it was her loving father that gave her the name Nayana. Maybe this would be a major wrinkle and she could stay in M4… where her family was.
Lance was worried. How would this alter his girlfriend, the only person he cared about? Would it change her personality? Would they even meet? It was her father who told Nayana about the Timetravelers, and she went along with her sister… if her father weren't there… would she even learn about them? There seemed no way they could meet except the Timetravelers…
The rest of the 2023 crew didn't want to see Mk and Arielle go.
The 2006 crew didn't want to lose Ash. He got along with everyone.
Only time would tell how everything would turn out. Only time would tell how altered everything would be. They would learn all of the answers tomorrow. No missions were done today; no one wanted to go and do them. They talked about Ash the whole time.
Later, Misty, Giovanni, Delia and Matthew were at the house that Misty's rich uncle got for the two of them. [Ain't that nice of him?] Delia had brought all of her photo albums and the baby book. Everyone in the house flipped through them, talking about the days…
Soon the others left. Misty pulled out the wedding photo album that Delia had made. Pikachu hopped on her shoulder. He knew what was going on and he was just as upset as everyone else. Ash was his best friend…
"Pikapi," Pikachu said, looking at a picture of Ash.
"So you're just as upset as I am? It's understandable. You two are best buds," Misty said.
"Pikachu," he said, nodding.
"don't worry, I'll take care of you," Misty said.
"Pika pi ka chu." [and I'll take care of you.]
"And I guess we'll have to try to be a happy family… but it'll never be the same." She was due in about two months you know…
They kept looking through the album. The two of them looked so happy… They told themselves that nothing would ever separate them again… but they didn't think that Death would separate them so soon. They'd understand if they were old… but now? Ash still had so much to live for… the two of them hadn't been married for two months when it happened… Misty sobbed. He didn't even have a chance to say goodbye…

Viridian City, 6 a.m.
Misty woke up on the couch. She had cried herself to sleep again. The first thing she did was take a shower. Then, she got dressed. Black seemed to be her mood today. Next, she got his will. She didn't know when they'd want it. Misty actually remembered to take her vitamins this morning. It was surprising to her that she did too. Most of the time she forgot.
Soon she drove to the hospital. This time, they were letting Pikachu come with her. They weren't going to 'pull the plug' until noon, but she had a little bit of time.
She walked in. Ash looked the same as always, in his black outfit that he was wearing on the first of June and all of the wires, and the breathing device he was always hooked up to (all of the tubes giving him food and stuff had already been taken off; they wouldn't immediately kill him). It didn't look like he was about to die… She sat down in the chair she always sat in.
"Hi… I know you probably can't hear me… but…" Tears were in her eyes. "I love you, and I always will. I don't think that even if I had lived forever, I'd ever find someone as special as you. You'll always be with me in spirit, I know… I hope you won't blame me for killing you… I don't want to believe that you're going to die…" She was barely chocking out the words now "but I don't think there's any way that you'll survive."
Then it was noon. Most of his friends (the Timetravelers, his family that wanted to come, and some of his college friends) were here, but Mk wasn't for some reason. They looked through the window…
Ash was still six. Angel had been sobbing worse than ever the whole time. Why? It didn't seem that Christmas was cancelled…
But Angel did nothing. She couldn't do anything.
Ash kept struggling. He didn't know he was supposed to breathe, and no one could tell him that…
"Breathe! Please!"
Everyone looked at each other. That wasn't what they were expecting. They also weren't expecting him to be conscious.
"Huh?" The last thing that Ash remembered in real life was being in a junk pile. Now he was in the hospital, and everyone looked at him like if he preformed some miracle. But then again… everyone in his head was upset just a second ago…
"I'm supposed to be dead, huh?"
"Ash!" Misty was now sobbing on him. He gave her a hug.
"it's okay, I'm here…"
Everyone outside breathed a sigh of relief, then they cheered. He was alive!

The Other disclaimer: Don't own Pokémon. That is all.
Man, that was stressing. And sad. I was listening to sad music the whole time I wrote the last part.
Now is anyone happy that he didn't die? I am. If you aren't, well, deal or something! I can't write anything that everyone's gonna like. Like I can't write anything really popular. That's okay; as long as I do it, I'm happy. Isn't how it usually is? ^_^
