Forgotten Ranma
Chapter One
Travar, the mad portal master had created his most powerful gate spell ever. Only it go out of his control. Suddenly it
opened up gates all over Faerun from and to another world. In a strange land called Japan. It sucked up different
people from the lands of Asia.
One of them was a young woman with the last name of Hibiki. She was sucked through the void to land in the realms.
Fortunately she had martial arts skills to protect herself.
Another martial artist was a Mr. Kuonji, a ninja master who was also an okonomiyaki seller. He and his cart were sent
from Japan into this strange new world.
Many other were taken from this world. Including a certain martial art who was a practitioner of the Anything Goes Martial
Arts school. He and his masters were sucked into two separate portals.
Genma looked up and tried to figure out where in the world he was. It looked like a forest and yet it looked foreign. More
like the forest of Europe he had seen in his geography books he had when he went to school.
He was just adapting to his surroundings, when he heard a noise. He turned around and saw the most beautiful girl he had
ever seen. A girl with reddish brown hair.
Genma lived with his wife, Nodoka in a remote part of the realms. They spent their early lives hunting for adventures and
the remains of the treasure hordes that made them quite wealthy. Soon they settled back to raise their child Ranma and
teach Genma's arts to the world of Faerun.
Ranma grew up a loved child, even given his strange nature. One that made his a special child. But instead of being rejected
by his parents, he was welcomed as their child. Even if he had non-human blood coursing through his veins. Blood that
changed his appearance and made him a member of a race that was not quite human.
For Ranma was heir to a great bloodline that gave him powers slightly beyond the abilities of humans. For Ranma was
a Genasi.
Ranma realized that he had been born different than all of the other children in his village in the Western Heartlands. He
looked different from everyone else and held power that others didn't have. It made him feel like an outsider. But it did
allow him to concentrate on the martial arts that his father taught him and which he loved.
Little did Ranma know that he had been born with a piece of the elements in his bloodline. His mother carried this building
block of the universe in her and it had blossumed in him, giving him his powers. For he was a Genasi, a child of one of the
four basic forces in the world. Or more exactly he was an air genasi.
Ranma looked at his blue skin and thought about how different he was from all of the normal human children. He had
recently learned what he was. An air genasi. A being descended from outsiders from the Plane of Air or one of the gods
who held power over the winds. It might explain why his skin was always cool to the touch.
It did boost Ranma's ego to learn that he had powerful ancestors who's blood had granted him these powers. Plus learning
that he could levitate for a few minutes once a day was a welcomed bit of news. Not that he needed it.
Ranma's skills in that martial arts had grown. He could now stay in the air several minutes, just from rebounding off of things.
Plus he had built up skills in his monastic studies. His skill at gaining power over his ki was amazing. He was learning the skills
that he would need to fight the beasts his father did as a service to his fellow villagers and to gain the wealth that his family
had collected.
Soon his father would be holding another tournament, where fighters from all around would come to test their might in
non-lethal mortal combat. Ranma would get a chance to meet some of the friends that he had found from the children
of some of the contest participants. He was hoping to see Ukyo again and was even tempted to met Ryoga.
But his father had told him that they were going to make a surprise visit to the world that he had come from. He had
found a remote portal to that world. Then they would get a wizard friend of Genma's to build a portal from their town
to his friend's house. A Mr. Tendo...
