“Mommy! Daddy! It's time for lunch!” Janine called.
Red and Lance exchanged smiles as they nodded. On their ring fingers, thin bands of platinum glinted. Charlotte smiled at them as she smoothed out the red-and-white checked blanket.
Janine was already opening the hamper, and she squealed as she saw the chocolate chip scones Red had baked.
“We're coming.” Lance called, giving Red a quick kiss. Red blushed as her lover shot her a heated glance. They would be having fun tonight…
They ate quietly, munching on tuna sandwiches and cheese and egg. Charlotte sipped her iced coffee with a pleased expression, even as Janine giggled.
It was so strange, being a family, but somehow, they made it work. The Outer Senshi as a group was different, yes, but it was a nice difference. They were not blind fools like the Princess and her Court.
Always trust the power of the Crystal… and the folly of its holder…
As those dark thoughts danced, Lance shook her head. Janine smiled as her Father leaned to whisper in her first Mother's ear.
It was different having two Mothers and a Father (well actually three Mothers - or more like two Fathers and one Mother, since Mother-Red and Father-Lance liked to dress like boys), but she didn't mind!
She bit into a juicy peach, and grinned as juice dribbled down her chin. Charlotte admonished her gently and reached for a napkin to wipe it away.
Just a perfectly ordinary family out for lunch…

I wish I didn't have a psychology midterm on Monday. Yuck! I hate studying for psychology sometimes…. And I still have to do my chemistry chart…
