Reincarnation is a tricky thing. It never quite turns out the way it's supposed to, and the dice don't always roll the same way. Red knows this, but its' still a shock when his memories return and he knows exactly who his friend and lover have become.

… His parents?

Charlotte sighs, but some part of him now thinks of her as Mother, and finding out that Lance is his Father is scary - for all about ten seconds, before he realizes that it doesn't. Change. Anything.

Because they are meant to be together, and nothing will keep them apart, not even warped time-space or society's laws.

So he kisses Lance, and is kissed back, and forgets the world.
