“Oh. Hey, Shin.”

 

Lee and Shin were really good friends. Shin was quite the “bishie” type and even likable, due to his good personality. Lee was Shin's age with an uncommon combination of hazel eyes and jet-black hair in a ponytail at shoulder's length. He wasn't what his peers considered as puny, but he wasn't all TOO sinewy and built. He only practiced sports as a huntsman; he targeted specific things to hunt during the season and used different weapons. For example, fighting with a light blade during bear hunting season at a hunting park and using a bow and arrows on duck hunting season. He'd only hunt the animals that were allowed to be hunted and nothing else. However, with such looks, energy, and talent, Lee held a very deep, dark secret from everyone, especially Shin. Though Shin and some others knew Lee was gay, Lee hid deep within himself the secret that he had a heart-breaking crush on Shin. Lee coveted the ownership for those pretty, emerald-green eyes, that long, blonde hair, and the skater-boyish body they all connected to. At times that he felt horny, Lee even masturbated while thinking of what it would be like for him to take away the very meaning of Shin's innocent voice. In fact, Lee didn't really HAVE a crush on Shin… He was infatuated with him. But, that very afternoon, something happened that made Lee's perspective go completely topsy-turvy. “Yes! End of the day!” Shin celebrated, “Time for me to go HOME!” Lee laughed. “It's only Monday, though…” he bubble-burst. “Ah, be quiet, Lee!” Shin whined, “Why'd you have to ruin it? I was in the moment!” A sharp pain struck Lee's heart, causing him to huff all the air in him out his nose. Shin stopped walking to examine his friend's behavior. “Lee!” he cried, “Are you okay?” Lee nodded and caught up with Shin. “Yeah, I'm fine,” he assured the Leafe Knight, “Let's go.”

 

Lee knew Shin was a Leafe Knight because he was one, too. He actually fell from the heavens after Neoma, the Leafe Lady of Luna, was stripped of her Leafe and expelled for attempting to kill another Leafe Warrior. Lee WAS to have the Leafe of Sol, the sun, but when Neoma was expelled at the same time that Lee was to be born, the Great Leafe fused the two Leafe into Lee. Therefore, Neoma's Leafe was not only stripped, but was also passed on to Lee, making him the Leafe Knight of the Cosmos.

 

“So, anyways, I was just wondering… Have you found a guy that'd wanna go out with you yet? I mean, any gay ones?” Shin asked, stepping onto the bus. Lee hesitated in his walking pattern, then shook his head. “No,” he answered, following Shin onto the bus, “Not… no.” The only one I want is YOU, Shin… Lee thought as if he was talking to the other boy. Shin put a comforting hand on Lee's shoulder. “Well, don't wor—EW!” Shin wiped his hand on his black jeans. “You're so sweaty! What did you do, KISS a guy?!?” he asked. Lee lowered his head in embarrassment; he really didn't kiss a guy, but the fact that Shin asked him such a question sort of loudly was disturbing. I can't kiss anyone if I'm stuck on YOU… he thought. “Oh, sorry, Lee,” Shin apologized, “Come on! Let's sit in the back!” Shin grabbed Lee's hand and Lee gasped at the contact. Shin rushed them to the back seats and sat down. “I'm hungry,” he shared, “Good thing I saved some of my cookies from lunch.” He whipped out his plastic container of cookies and opened it up, sniffing the aroma of warm, still-fresh-baked-smelling, chocolate chip cookies like it was a drug. Lee secretly liked the way Shin was acting towards his cookies. He thought it was cute.

 

The bus started up and pulled out of the school parking lot. Lee turned to Shin and asked him, “Hey, Shin? Are you… okay?” Shin looked at Lee without releasing the cookie from neither his hand's nor his front teeth's clamp. “How show?” the blonde asked, his occupied teeth changing the enunciation of his words. Lee's head dropped. “Like, with me… being gay…” he elaborated. “Oh, that!” Shin answered, “Yeah. I've known some gay guys before, so it's nothing new.” Lee nodded. “Oh, good,” he sighed with relief. Shin continued eating until he recalled all the times he'd ever seen gays fucking. Go and Dustin have sex ALL the time and Mannen and Zacchaeus REALLY get into it when THEY make love to each other. I wonder what it's like… He looked over at Lee, who was looking out the window, evading his urge to visually stripped off Shin's clothes.

 

“Hey, Lee?” Lee jumped, then calmed down and looked at Shin. “Yeah?” he timidly asked. Shin continued, “Can I ask you something?” Lee looked right, then left, then repeated for both directions. “O-kay…?” he granted. Shin scooted closer to Lee so that nobody else could hear and whispered, “Would you like to go out with me sometime?”
